  • I have many many many convenience colours in my palette and after the success of the single pigment series I thought it might be fun to go through all of the convince colours I have that I have the pigment numbers for.
I decided to go in reverse order this time so instead of starting with PY we started with PW. PR is the fourth video in the series and I am so excited for you to see it and the videos to come.

I love cool reds and my favorite mixed red is Mission Gold Permanent Alizarin Crimson - it has SUCH a rich, dark mass tone, and washes out a little more on the pink side than my other Alizarin's (which I have 6 right now that I'm comparing) and it doesnt dry down as dull as the others either.

Awaiting some from Kourtney 😁. I got PO49 from her (among MANY others!). Personally, I prefer M Graham’s Nickel Quin Gold, the glow just pops off the page! I got a sample of it from Alexis Carrol before I purchased a pan…I need to get a tube bc I love using it in mixes!
Making a list from your swatches. I have quite a few of them..looking at Rose Quartz..I tried mixing it with my PR170 & PW6 from Rosa’s..way too chalky when it dried, Also, I got Azure Green last month from Rosa’s..wish I would have gotten the Magenta gray instead. I just have too many greens that look similar. Also on my list..I had gotten White Nights Payne Gray last month..wish I would have gotten Neutral tint. I THINK Omnia is currently having a sale on White Nights so I may just go ahead and grab it. Looking at your shadow rose…I was just thinking a few days ago about a dusky purple. I actually still have some PR233 and PB29 pigments left. I finished making 4 full pans of my “Hummingbird wing gray” a few months ago with PR233 & PB35..I SHOULD have enough for awhile 😂. (I gave a pan to my best friend & one to my daughter). But I think I have enough PR233 to play and see if I can get it with the PB29.
Anyways..THANKS! NOW I need to go check my acct and see if I can afford a few more this month! 😂

Just FYI..have you ever tried Rockwell? If only postage wasn’t sky high from Canada..😖
Got an alert, they have a new “Charms” set out called “Wetlands”, they just posted it to their channel..and after watching it, going to go attempt to mix “Blue Iris” with single pigments I have. 😍 PV23, PV19 & PB35 🤔😁. I needed something exactly like this for a background last week..and I messed it up. I think I tried PV23 & PB29. Pretty, but too vibrant for what I wanted.
    Wish me luck! 😂

I have not tried their stuff but I know Amber Lane Watercolour uses them.

@@alexandrasartinsanity question: do you or your mom have any transparent PW4, “Chinese White”. I’ve found myself using more pastels lately-but most I have ready-made, or mix myself with one of my PW6, titanium White or Buff Titanium. So far, I’ve been disappointed..either super-opaque, thick, (like a heavy gouache) and/or extremely chalky.
I looked on Under the Brush, saw 3 either semi-or transparent, that I know I can get samples of, (DS, Sennelier and Renesans Intense). But I was wondering if you all have any or have tried them-if so, how they are in mixes?

@elaineg60 I have all my whites swatched out in one of the single pigment videos, I do have one PW4 but I tend to buy all my pastels premixed from brands.

@@alexandrasartinsanity Just fyi..I made that mix that Rockwell has called Blue Iris. I made it with my 3 single pigment Rosa’s PV23, pv19 & PB36. Oh my goodness…it’s now dry..🥰🤯. I’ve seen some that you’ve said you like and I think you’d REALLY like this! Main tint & separation after drying? Deep dusky purple with some blue, and what looks like PR122…but it must just be the PV19. Absolutely stunning! It almost glows it’s so vibrant- but not overpowering.
Ok..now I have another favorite mix!! HIGHLY recommend! Even Dr Kitty Leela approved! (After kisses, hugs and trying to steal my CBD gummy; she’s draped over me, as usual. 🥰
