REB U perm 4 life Part of a 53.62 average: (49.08), 53.06, 53.36, (DNF bc messed up the REB U perm lol), 54.45. I used the REB U perm on 3/5 of the solves (I got a Z perm on one and I used RU one the last one because I wanted PR average).
3-Style Tutorial Part 2: Speed-Optimization
มุมมอง 20K6 ปีที่แล้ว
Part 1 (link below) teaches the basic concept of comms. At this point, it's all about looking at a bunch of comms and learning how to find the fastest setup move, insertion, and interchange. Speed-optimal comms are super important. If you use slow comms, it might even be slower than OP/M2, so make sure you start off with good comms! I'll discuss the importance of good comms in more detail in pa...

4:12.86 5BLD NAR Fail (3 centers)
มุมมอง 1.8K6 ปีที่แล้ว
:( Off by 3 centers because I skipped a letter pair. Would've been 3rd in the world and 1st in North America. It was 39 algs (average is 41) but I did a 2ce2ce, midge/wing swap, and avoided several cycle breaks. It had wing parity too.
Slowest Winning 3BLD Solve in Texas + Unsuccessful Pop and Search

OLL Parity Avoidance in Official Solves (Kinda)
มุมมอง 4.3K6 ปีที่แล้ว
Avoiding OLL parity? More like forcing OLL parity. Surprisingly, I didn't get any overinspection penalties :o I'm faster than this and way more accurate at home. Thanks Josh Weimer for filming, commentating, and bullying me about how he got fewer parities without even trying to avoid them. How OLL parity avoidance is done: BLD trace the wings to obtain the amount of letters. If there is an odd ...
Longest MBLD Attempt in Modern WCA History (60:18)

How to fingertrick slice moves (4BLD and 5BLD)
See you in 2027
Mark my words im getting a 5bld success
Ah Yes, I can’t wait to shave off those precious milliseconds with my sub-4 minute average!
I have no intentions of learning 3-style (at least any time soon) but the commutator explinations were super helpful! I've never understood them before but they make so much sense now
How do you swap to bottom centers for X centers
watch jperm's 4bld tutorial (u need to learn 4bld first)
@ I have now
Great resource, I especially appreciate you giving details on how Graham and other top solvers actually use it
Hi Tim, I wanted to know how has your health been. And how you been feeling? I recently saw you took four covid tests. And I did research and saw there was stuff on them. As well as I’m having issue’s after taking two
I know how commacators work but i don't know how to learn all 3 style cases ?
i didnt understand anything in j perms
Lmao which one is actually the judge?😭
Thank you
What is UBL RDF blah blah
Each face has a letter which is used in notation. U, D, R, L, B, and F. UBL is the corner in the top back left. The corner that aligns with U, B, and L. RDF is the corner on the right bottom front. The corner that aligns with the R, D, and F faces.
@@JudeStradtner ok I got it
Could I use this for 3bld? Technically, it’ll help for memorizing, but will it take more time?
You could, but it is not useful if you want a good time, most people for 3bld just memorize with images corners, and then edges with sounds, because in just a 3x3 you need to keep the information for a really short time and also it's less information compared to a 5bld or mbld
What's the alg for "Q" midges?
Here's the one I use B' U R' B U' (M2) U B' R U' B
(this is kinda a long read so bear with me) Up until last week, I hadn’t done a 5BLD attempt in almost 5 years (the one attempt I did back then was actually only off by 2 + centers and 10 wings), but I’ve been doing a bunch of blindfolded stuff lately, so I figured I’d go for it. Last Wednesday I got an extremely painful (and super avoidable) DNF by 2 + centers, which left me absolutely fuming (and my reaction also ended up waking my dad) But, I tried again the next morning, and it brings me great joy to say that I have finally gotten a 5BLD success. This video is what taught me how to do 5BLD all those years ago, and words cannot describe how happy I am to know/say that it has finally paid off. So with that all said, from the absolute bottom of my heart, Thank You, Tim.
Thank you so much!
I did it
Awesome. I'm currently practicing 3x3 BLD and this is an inspiration to me. Some day I hope to do at least 4x4 BLD.
can i execute in this order + centres, x- centres, wings, midged and corners
how to learn 3 style for big bad please tell
you learn it
What's the best way to do D2?
Can you do the same thing as m2 on 3x3 and solve your UB and UL midges swapped and only do the corner parity alg rather than the m2 one and corner parity?
Wow this tutorial is perfect. I have tried it 2 times, and both were successes. Thanks so much! Right now Im practicing 6BLD, and its fun! If anyone is curious, and struggling to find resources for 6BLD, I really recommend you to try to figure things out in your own, as it is not that hard and kinda fun. Just be aware that there are 4 types of centers, and for each step verify that you are using center-safe algs.
horrible.
very concerning
im not learning this the night before a pbq you are
what cube is that
x+mwc
I learned 2E2E pretty soon after this video came out, and I still know it to this day. I’m currently starting to learn Orozco, and am hoping to possibly learn full 3Style one day (bc I kinda do a mix between 3Style and M2/OP at the moment). Nevertheless, I will never forget this video. Thanks again for making this, Tim!
How's 3-Style going
Very clear
I'm surprised nobody's mentioned this, but on your example solve, the corner memo is wrong. it should be UH CW ND Q PV instead of LS JT ND Q PV. The pieces are all right but if you do it your way, you will end up with the buffer and the U/L/G corner twisted.
NICE
3:00 Where does solving wings come in this order?
Solve wings like normal, think of fixing wings like doing pll parity for 4bld parity
I bet that you can do much better than that, this time.
great video!
I got a successful 5bld solve in a comp thanks to this tutorial. Thank you 🙂
Thanks for the algs! They are super helpful and go a long way to my practice on 3x3 bld!
Sooo... does anyone know a way to use this technique while "suffering" from aphantasia (condition where it's impossible for people to visualise things)?
I saw a few comments about this. You have to somehow feel "images" in these places instead of literally visual isinglass them
@@whzysywuxhhs That sounds... strange. Do you have any experience with this? Or do you have some sources where I could get more information?
Thank u so much for this vid
this is just awesome
OK, let me find a dictionary to catch up with all your cube lingo... you might as well be talking chinese until then.
I'm just getting into this now and using the college of Winterhold. Almost died when a scene from Windhelm flashed up!
I’m honestly surprised how easy you make it to understand, it’s something I’ve always found incredible, unreal, but it’s actually doable, thank you soooo very much for this video !!
the absolute best commutator tutorial.

Use my M2
This is a fantastic tutorial. I've looked into tutorials for commutators before. This is the best one I've found so far. Thanks for all the work you put into this. I'll be studying it a lot.
Very good 5bld tutorial
3bld is slightly more than 20 targets since there are usually more cycles/twisted pieces for corners and therefore more letters
You actually don't need to memorize the letter corresponding to flipped corners or edges: for edges I usually just try to visually remember where they are on the cube. If there is an even number I would just do a setup move for a doble-edge-flipping alg like (M' U)x3 M' U2 (M' U)x3 M'. If they are an odd number, it means that the buffer is also flipped. For corners I just memorize where they are and if they need to be twisted clockwise or counterclockwise, and then twist them using sexy moves.
@@nikitafilippetti7504 yeah ik haha but it’s definitely situational. especially in multi when you’re attempting a reasonable amount of cubes
@@nikitafilippetti7504 also, for corner twists memorising the location + direction is two pieces of info, while a letter pair is just one. another way of approaching this is to simply remember where the white/yellow sticker is
Amazing tutorial. Thanks so much!
must insertions be exactly 3 moves?
lmao thats hilarious
