@@BentleyOnABudget-mp8jj GTC 2010. I have had all your problems especially battery ones. Changed the tyres earlier this year and the inner wheel hub fell out afterwards and Bentley don’t make them any more. It’s beginning to be a pain in the behind!

The wiper motor at Flying Spares should fit yours mate part no 3W2955023KU but check with them first. There was also one on ebay for £150 but tread careful as ever mate.

@@BentleyOnABudget-mp8jj I am already subscribed 😀. Flying Spares told me yesterday they don’t have in stock but are breaking 2 GT’s shortly and I have registered to order when in stock. What is crazy is that Bentley have no intention of restocking so what will we do? Just in case you ever have rear led failures I found a gentleman who repairs for a very reasonable price. Bentley ownership🤬

@phil154 hi Phil, yes mate. Turned out that the pipe between the MAF sensor and the turbo intake pipe wasn't sealed properly. I actually made a good seal using a good quality rubber donut normally used between a cistern and pan on a toilet until I can work out why the gap is wrong. I suspect that the air box mounts are badly adjusted but for now she's perfect. The other air leak I found was the corrugated pipe into the intake manifold from the crank case breather system. Fairly easy fix, I bought a slightly larger diameter pond cable conduit from a DIY store and sleeved the broken bit with clear silicone between the two. Absolutely perfect bodge :) I'll replace the whole thing when I get garage space again.

@markburley2343 Hiya Mark, thanks mate. For what it's worth I was sh1t scared about getting one but I have absolutely no regrets. By far the best car I've ever owned and since I sorted the misfires out she's just an absolute joy in every way. Key thing is to have that reserve budget in hand and breakdown cover so you can always get hone again, after that it's all just an adventure. The w12 engine is bomb proof, mostly because there really isn't enough road in the UK to thrash it. If you see one and would like me to have a look I'd be glad to. VCDS diagnostic from Ross-tech would be a very wise purchase too if you are really serious. Good luck mate :)

@petermole3872 it depends on what frequencies are closely occupied locally Peter, for me 89.3 is very good but have a play :) mine improved significantly after doing the coils and plugs so there must have been a fair bit of interference from arcing prior to that

Hi Randy, no. Check engine light needs to be properly diagnosed using an obd2 scanner. If you're serious about buying a Bentley I would recommend you get yourself set up with VCDS from Ross-tech. I've done a couple of videos on using it in basic terms and you'll find more on youtube if you look. The fact that the seller either doesn't know this, or knows and is being disingenuous about it is a red flag from me! Tread carefully my friend.

@ftostation nice one! Everyone needs a mate like yours! My wrong filter came from Autodoc by the way. To be fair it's the first thing they got wrong so I can't grumble too much :)

@ulflei hi, the gearbox oil service was done by my mechanics but the procedure was very specific. If you buy a proper ZF kit with the gaskets, seals and magnets in it it tells you what you need to do. I'll see if anyone else has actually filmed the process and let you know. Nige

@@BentleyOnABudget-mp8jj i did get it done! But with another way😂 i sent my keys to a workshop in china to get the key cover changed. Now i'm left with an occasional engine light, a tranny with jerky upshift from 4 to 5, a door handle that doesnt lock with keyless button and doesnt soft close, MMI plug & rear TV & rear bentley phone charging port disconnected from battery, doesnt seem to turn on. I just changed the tyre pressure sensors of the four wheels, and I can tell you, it's 433Mhz😂

Ohh and also a clicky wiper motor

@MrMisterUtube as far as I know you can replace the wiper linkages quite cheaply. I'll have a dig tomorrow if I get a chance or you could check ebay out :)

@powerglory4022 sounds like fun mate, I'll have a skeg. I think you've got more chance if you cover a range of cars as its a bigger market over all. I saw lots of channels doing two or three Bcgt episodes but never more than that. It's a pretty small niche but if it helps folks then I feel there's a purpose beyond profit. I'll check you out shortly :)

@@BentleyOnABudget-mp8jj I can see the appeal of the W12, I test drove both and went for a V8S in the end. Very happy with my choice and no regrets. Just of to go and have a look at her in the drive and give her a good clean. The drainage tips were really useful. I have done the boot and fuel cap. Building up for the font scuttle. I had a new key made and the technician did a thorough check over on the footwell and kessy unit all bone dry and good condition. Another useful tip from your vids :) Cheers

@@RogueGentleman Im only three months into ownership of V8S . No issue so far, and all running very well. Defintley the trickle charge is a good investment if you dont use the car every day or holidays etc. Good luck with your search

Hi Cav, if you check out my video called CGT Q&A week 1 I explain the fuel system and what is probably happening to your car. There are two pumps and the tank is a saddle type. One pump sends fuel across to the other side of the tank only and what can happen is if this sender pump fails it can appear that you have half a tank of gas but actually the main (feed tank ) is empty. Anyway watch the video and let me know if it helps. One tip to find out for sure which tank it is would be to fill the car up and see if that helps. If it does then it's likely to be the lift pump in the return side of the tank :) Check the fuses and relays before digging deeper.

@@BentleyOnABudget-mp8jj Another question I have, is there a way to re-set the suspension warning light, does disconnecting the battery help? I jacked the car without putting it in "jack mode" and got a "Visit Workshop" message. The car is now at the correct height, but the warning message has not gone away.

@5alid633 is it a new filter? You could try disassembly, then coat the filter connectors with a little petroleum jelly bring careful not to get any inside. It may be that the rubber seals have been damaged or twisted.

I repaired today. I was very tired. I found the fault with the pipe. Its head is broken. Unfortunately, the pipe is expensive. I will send you the part number and search for it on the Internet.

@coffeestop198 hi, this is actually completely normal. What's happens is that when you stop the vehicle the cooling fans engage and chill the engine down even after it's shut off. This is to avoid the rather cramped engine bay damaging components by storing heat. When I first got mine the same thing troubled me . Happy motoring :)

@philboyce1582 sadly they didn't as far as I know Phil, I know they re-routed the vac lines and so on. Oddly enough I was working through the workshop manual tonight and in the section for drain channels they only mentioned boot and doors. Nadal about scuttles! Crazy :)

@@BentleyOnABudget-mp8jj yes the scuttle is the problem one, that’s the one they changed. Fortunately i only ever drove mine in good weather and it was always garaged…..had it for 6 years best car I ever had……switched to a 5.0 Jaguar xk x150 a lot cheaper to run and plenty you can do yourself and a great car also…..I will keep watching love the content 😉

@kellygerman8709 thanks for that Kelly, I did see someone replacing the solenoids on this gearbox but it was in a rangerover. Think it was Samcrak on youtube. Hope it improves for you, if not the lucas add is worth a go :)
