I had the same issue with the MAF sensor plug on that side. I think the plastic gets brittle over time due to the heat.

I agree with @camop99 I’ve already noticed that similar problem. This engine puts off a lot of heat and has made almost everything brittle. Replacing as much as I can with engine out on mine. Some pipes are becoming hard to find.

@coffeestop198 I've honestly no experience with the cooling function but I'll have a dig :)

Haha this is somewhat similar to another job I'm on right now. Had the oil cooler replaced by a workshop, and car came back with an uneven idle and a HOST of errors, none of them ever been talked about on the forums. P102, Mass or Volume Air Flow A Circuit Low and p0414 AIR System Switching Valve A Circuit Shorted. I'm gonna begin a tear down at home to see if I can find the culprit.

Hi Shaazy, check yours is plugged in mate, also check that the pipework down to the turbo from the MAF is a good fit. Mine wasn't, I also had a broken crankcase breather tube, video coming soon! Finally, might sound daft but just make absolutely certain your batteries are in good shape. Can you clear your codes at home? Nige

@@BentleyOnABudget-mp8jj Can all of this be checked without removing the bumper? And yes I can delete codes using my Thinkdiag2.

@@shaazy Hiya, yes for sure! If you watch part 1 of the coil and plug video you'll see me taking the air cleaner boxes off. The MAF sensors are fitted to these and the pipe connection I'm referring to is at the bottom. you'll see it when you remove the air filter box. 8 Torx screws and you're in but as I say get your batteries checked over (load tested) before you do much else. Depending on how long the garage had her she could just be low on juice and that triggers all sorts of fault codes :)

@@BentleyOnABudget-mp8jj you are correct on all counts! Workshop said alternator is weak and to order a new one, so I went investigating armed with a ctek + multimeter. Turns out, left side battery was shot, and I replaced it to good effect (even though it was only 15 months old, burned by Varta lol). Now the car is holding charge and driving normal, AC was down too and it's back on thank the lord. Now for the idle issues, they are persistent. So I'll go deeper into MAF connections and such and see if there's a pipe loose. Shall report back.

@@BentleyOnABudget-mp8jj Havent gotten round to attempting a fix yet, but if i remember correctly, the torx on air filter housing are T30 right?
