I'm not a fan of the magazine holders for text books. No matter what size book I put in ours they tipped over. I love love the heavy clear page pouches. I use them for all sorts of things. Currently using one for a knitting chart. 😂

I would recommend this place for any parent that has a kid on the spectrum. My son is 3 yo. and has only been in the program for 2.5 months and he has improved a lot! He talks a lot and I hear new vocabulary from him each week

I noticed the same thing about Evan moor vocabulary. It’s written to kids who go to school and my homeschooled kids couldn’t understand the context. I do like some other Evan moor stuff, though.

New Sub! I have a son that I'm just now realizing may have ADHD. He had lots of trouble with handwriting in kindergarten and now is having a ton of trouble learning to read at age 7. He knows his letter sounds but can't seem to blend the words well, and he gets very overwhelmed with his abeka reader Fun with Pets. I feel he needs something simple. We made it through abeka kindergarten but we are having a very hard time in 1st grade. What top reading and phonics books do you recommend for struggling readers?

My autistic son is solid mental math. We have been using the combination of Dimensions Math and Kumon since he was 4 years old.

Omg I have that shut the box game, that I think my grandpa made, but no one knew how to play it or what it was called! Yay- now I can Google the rules & play it☺️

A little hard to watch with your logo center screen and huge blocking the view of the things shown in your video. I listen to you while doing housework and so it's ok but you probably should fix that. Not trying to pick at you I know editing takes a lot of time. 🙂

I pay for MiaAcademy and my son is Autistic and has ADHD. He actually does well on the computer once you get him to sit of course. But these books help. I am a lot like you, I think you might have ADHD yourself I I do and i do not like those difficult boring long lessons

For BJU Press reading, do you have the student workbook or what do you have? I want to use BJU Press for reading but I don't want to buy all the books if not necessary. (Like I'm sure the teachers guide isnt necessary) We use BJU Press english-writing and grammar & love that

My ASD 9.7 year old is afraid of everything. l find it so hard to teach bible and history. From that point of view would you still recommend Generations? Also,would the Abeka be any benefit to a Canadian student?I appreciate your answer bc it sounds like your having a similar problem. Thank you!!!

We use Memoria Press and we love it! My daughter loves it too. And my daughter loves workbooks/writing. It’s a classical curriculum. We also loved CDs. I don’t need my daughter having access to any type of unlimited music app. Not safe.

I really like the look of the BJU Press Reading 2B. Is this something you would read aloud to your child and then discuss the questions/talking points?
