Anyone that’s had a crack at singing this song just with backing track realises how incredible of an artist Hozier is … it’s poetry
Am here to learn and do practice from kenya 🇰🇪ready to come out with good results soon
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! everyone else is only talking about the chorus riff and i’ve been hunting for this exact kind of break down, this was so helpful!!!!
Great
I have done these exercises in lessons many times before but could just never see the link to actual singing. I’m sure there is a link I just could never transfer anything from the drill to singing or vice versa
From my understanding, this could be one piece of the puzzle to help us sing higher notes. Me as an example, at this moment I have to use nasal resonance to help me hit solid higher notes that I couldn’t reach otherwise (unless with pure head voice or falsetto), it immediately makes it easier to hit notes with less strain. I think doing this exercise will probably help you build the habit of utilising resonance in area close to the mouth (lip/tongue) to help sing higher notes. And he explained why it helps. Great piece of information, just what I currently needed :)
The voice is a muscular organ which can be trained to contract with greater precision and strength which increases power, range and control. Exercises like this are part of that training process. Do them regularly enough and over the months you’ll see the benefit.
I did this and it worked while I'm humming but once I open my mouth I lose this sensation . Play my body doesn't understand the correct muscles to use once I open my mouth what can I do to compliment this exercise
When doing these exercise my chest hurts😢
thank you
The detail to the process of how the voice functions and the science behind it is stellar. Very enlightening, thank you
thank you!
i feel like i get it but I'm not sure... anyone have a more technical explanation of this? like what is the difference, exactly, between 1 and 2
When after hoarseness my voice needed like 1 month to come back at normal vocal range then happen again and again... I was able to reach G6 in head voice 7 Months ago but it's difficult like only air coming out now😢
i am a man, but i have a high voice. i really struggle to find my head voice placement especially upward to mid range head voice, and the high range around E5 AND UP. i struggle a lot to find out the RIGHT placement, i know i need to change it if i want to go high, but how? I AM SO LOST,and i don't really know my low range head voice's placement are even the right placement
pls post some vid about head voice placement from low range to high range
This is outstanding!
This is an amazing video. Thank you sir.
Subscribed!🎉
Ummmm, you know there are ways to slow the song down WHILE STILL MAINTAINING THE ORIGINAL PITCH, right?
The ideal vocal tract shape for a high note can accommodate the lower note, but not vice versa!
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this content! It's so easy to injure when the concepts are elusive. Grateful to have found you! 🎉
❤
Gret explanation. But if does nothing to help bad singers hit those high notes. There is no amount of training that is going to make a monotone singer like me hit the high notes like he can.
He makes that octave leap as smooth and easy as if it were a half step. Wow! Great message though. We must learn these vocal techniques so as to control tone, volume, control, etc.
Helpful, thanks!

Man alive these videos are awesome!!!👏🏼🎹🎼🎵♥️🎤🐺
Nice master❤
Can you clarify the term falsetto? Classical singers are trained to use falsetto, without using too much air pressure, and without being breathy. I am just interested to understand better about using the voice.
The clear breakdown of larynx positioning for different singing styles is super helpful! It's amazing how much control and freedom this can add to vocal range.
Glad it was helpful!
THIS IS SO COUNTERINTUITIVE... but it worked before the short was finished. 10/10
Glad it was helpful!
❤
Usually when I can't sing something that's typically within my range and it's a little rough I just iron it out. I put an iron to my neck. Works every time 😂😂😂
I watched a couple of your videos and they've been SUPER helpful. I'm a new singer, I joined a chorus for fun but I'm really struggling with strain. Thank you for the videos! subscribed 😊
You're so welcome!
@@wolfstudiosnyc Doing this I noticeably sung better and I feel I understand what it means to sing from the chest more. Absolutely will be bingeing your videos! ❤
Michael Jackson’s vibrato is caprino…its wayyy too fast lol
You're a very generous man with your knowledge, Sir. Thank you much respect!
You're most welcome!
❤❤
Youre good
Thank you!
❤
I'm nasally because I do folk song. Watching your shorts have been a great starter to try and fix bad habits and have a more rich tone❤ Thank you
You're welcome!
Many vocal coaches don't sound very good when they actually "sing." You, however, do indeed sound good.
Thank you so much
When I'm having trouble with a specific song or range I take out the lyrics and I use those different coordinations. After I get the cord closure, placement and weight then I add in the lyrics.
That's the way to do it.
why arent any examples shown of you singing an actual song with head voice so we know what it sounds like
Mainly, because I'm teaching a class the exercises they need to develop their own head voice registers. They come to learn the techniques, not to hear me perform songs.
Watch all the video. There's ton of examples
i wouldn't recommend forcing air through ur vocal cords in the first part or the second thats just a quick way to cause damage over time
🙏🏻
Wow!
Great content, any news on the paid online courses ?
Thnq sir... Love from india❤
Most welcome!
Whenever I touch mixed voice my voice goes in vocal fry kind of scream. What am i doing wrong?
👏 👏 👏
I dont know no one who explains everything so well 🌟 🙏🏻 Your advices are golden!
Thank you! I'm glad that it's helpful
Quick question, seems I can go higher with the ng when my tongue is out, does that reduce the effectiveness of the exercise?
That can work too, and may help to alleviate tongue tension.
