I am late watching this video. I have discovered your channel few days ago. As you I am both into paper and ink and digital e-ink. Given your love for pens, try the Staedler Jumbo EMR (the blue and black one) on the Remarkable2: It is made of wood, like traditional Staedler pencils, and the nib lasts so much more in comparison to the Remarkable tips. Thank you for your videos and the stories shared: they gave me a little spot where to recover from my work (I work in mental health care too!).

@littlecocostudio my favorite pen to use with shimmer inks is Noodlers Konrad , Fountain pen revolution himalaya with an ultra flex nib, Admok m400 / m800, or twsbi Eco T with a broad nib :)

Some people rate Tomoe River as the best fountain pen ink friendly paper, but personally I dislike ghosting and bleedthroug. That notebook is one of the best I have seen.

Sorry but a $580 bag that doesn’t snap properly is a defective dud! Don’t the manufacturers realize sending a defective bag for review Doesn’t look good? Why would anyone go to this website and overpay for a bag that doesn’t work as it should? FYI- $600 for a bag is high end not affordable to the middle class if they are living within their means( i. e. No credit card debt)

Love the bag, beautiful! Good to see you back. I use a Bogg Bag for work, I'm a teacher. Having a big open bag for work suits me; and security can see inside my bag easily, and I can carry all I need back and fourth. I tend to use my Marc Jacobs "The Tote Bag" Jacquard large bag if I want to take a lot with me and protect my items more. I carry my Hobonichi Drawer Pouch and figuring out how to use it more effectively... I love that Delfonics pouch too! Happy New Year, I am looking forward to seeing more of your great videos in 2025!

I'm glad you enjoyed your trip to Japan. The first ink you showed us is named "Grape-dyed Gown" after the world's first long novel, The Tales of Genji, written by Murasaki Shikibu in around AD1000. In the story, Genji, a nobleman, selected the color Ebi-iro (grape color) for his wife.

I’ve had that same Madewell tote that you mentioned for over 10 years now with near daily use! It was my school bag in college and it became my work bag when I graduated. A good leather bag lasts a remarkably long time and is surprisingly hardy as it patinas well.

This was very interesting, I’ve never heard of this handbag brand. I do tend to pick my bags based on if my travelers notebooks comfortably fit in along with my essentials. I think the main drawback to me is that it’s without a main compartment zipper. On a side note, interesting to hear about your Madewell bag as I have looked at that bag several times.

That’s such a beautiful bag. You’re very blessed to have been selected. I wish I could carry a bag that has enough of what I need, but without my cane or walker. I cannot carry a bag that I’ll lose my balance in. I worked years relearning how to walk after my SCI and my weakness was high quality bags. I had to sell every single one of them. That bag sounds yummy too. I can smell the leather from here. I may try to find a mini tote somewhere that won’t knock me over.

I was so excited to see a video pop up from you. I love this tote but I think for me it would be too small. I'm more of a longchamp tote person. When I used to commute to NYC I had a tote bag and then another bag for my lunch, snacks and reading materials. I definitely think that Teddy should send you another bag that the side snap works on. For that price point the bag should be perfect.You should have that bag for atleast 10 years. Enjoy it whatever you decide to do.

which one is the least wet? glass or kakimori? my issue is that my current 1$ cheap glass dip pen writes way too wet. and I want something that doesn't write super wet at the beginning.

Lol I can so related to this video. I bought the Masamune Kusano x junaida Through the Purple Night to use as a BTS journal in 2025 because it´s the year of BTS return. Using Murasaki shikibu, Rainbows End, Jane Eyre and Foxglove in it but from your selection the puple rain combines BTS purpel for me the most I will check that out borahae...💜

When you visited Tokyo did you pirchase or see any Hobonichi?

So I am here maybe 2 years later after being shocked at the prices of the iro utsushi dip pens (and they are still hard to find here in the UK) and I had suspected they were simply the pilot nibs in pen holders. I have been wondering if I could do this trick as I don't have the money to buy anything fancy! I have the Pilot nibs so just need to see if I have any nib holders handy!
