The montblanc cinnamon brown is really beautiful ❤️❤️❤️ But I couldn't help it but think you got scammed to pay double the price 😢 Edit: when I think of smoke, I think of the colour grey. So I assume the smoky brown is really light
It does seem preposterous to buy a bottle of ink for $80! I was definitely in vacation mode and bought this ink despite the price. MB sells this ink for $80 online as well, I believe it's double the price because it's limited edition and it's scented.
This was so lovely and calming to watch Liane. I think out of all of them the Robert Oster Charred Hickory looks the most similar to the Mont Blanc Cinnamon Brown. But the Platinum Earth Brown is appealing the most to me. I have almost finished by bottle of Ancient Copper and am on the lookout for my next brown ink, so this was very helpful 🤎 Thank you and have a lovely weekend 😊
Wow, Cinnamon Brown is a beautiful brown! I do love a good brown ink. Herbin's Caroube de Chypre has been my favourite that I've personally tried so far.
I've discovered your channel and can't stop watching your ink videos! I have the Purdey and Sons ink and would be happy to mail you a sample if you haven't gotten to try it yet. I love it. I will also say that Moonlight of Higashiyama is a very very close color dupe, but of course without that incredible scent, and a little bit dryer.
Oh yes please! I would love to try a sample of Purdey and Sons, it is a grail ink! If you don't mind sending it to my PO box, I would SO appreciate it, thanks!!!
i looked all over and found three inks that may come close to the color on that package. please remember, cameras and lighting change colors drastically, i tried to take that into account with the orange spice color of the box. noodler's autumn oak, dominant industry Earl Grey, Ginger Chicken, J. Herbin orange indian, Robert Oyster's Antelope Canyon.
Those are beautiful colors, I think they are great picks to compare with the orange spice color! Never heard of antelope canyon, I'll have to give that one a try.
Hey Liane! Wonderful comparison video. I think the Smoky Bourbon looks closest to me in tone, just much less saturated. A favorite brown of mine is Colorverse Coffee Break. A great name, with a hint of red, but a nice medium brown. I think my fave here is Ancient Copper, and it’s a perfect match for the fall maple leaves 🍁 here. Thanks for sharing! 🤘🏼😸🧡🖋️
Love all of these colors. I definitely need to try SBRE Brown some day, it's been on my list for a while now. And I need to add the Charred Hickory to my list to sample. Wow!
Thanks so much for swatching a variety of brown inks! They are my favorite to journal with especially if I'm adding ephemera and images to my pages. And lighter inks are great for not bleeding through thinner journal papers (looking at you Traveler's Notebook!). These a just lovely samples.
That Cinnamon Brown looks excellent.... I might have to find a bottle.
MB's website is out of stock but I definitely found some available on several retailers' sites!

Good choice for your first MB ink.
Thank you! Aside from the initial sticker shock, I'm very pleased with my purchase!
Your MB Cinnamon Brown reminds me of J Herbin Terre de Feu. Have you tried this ink?
Oh no, I haven't! I'll have to give that ink a try now!
$80?!?!?!? 😶
YES. I was shocked. I still am. Lol. But I intend to use this one to the last drop!

Congrats on almost finishing a bottle! I hope you have a great weekend, too. :)
I’m in love with brown. I think it’s my favorite color. I’m all about fall so brown for the win. Thank you for this comparison.

Oh gosh, that Herbin ink sounds divine, I'll have to give that one a try!
Such fun inks! I am interested in RO Charred Hickory! I adore Ancient Copper but it very much leans red as you noted!
RO Charred Hickory is a good pick!

I have and like Pamana. Got an SBRE BBrown sample, but haven't gotten into it as yet. Don't think I need to have any Montblanc inks.😅 Thanks, Liane.
Thanks for watching!
Nice video. Thank you. How does Cinnamon Brown compare with MB's Toffee Brown?
You know, I have no clue. This is my very first MB brown ink I've tried...Perhaps Mountain of Ink will have some info?
You’re the best liane! I’m obsessed with inks now….down the rabbit hole we go :) thank you
Tumbling down the rabbit hole, enjoy the journey! :)
I really enjoy your dupe videos. Thank you! If I could make one wish, it would be for Lennon Toolbar Wolfberry.
Oh, that is a good ink comparison! I'll take a look at my stash and see! Great idea!
Scented inks are usually more lubricated Liane so that may explain the wider line on the cinnamon brown.
That is good to know!
love the way you swatch your inks
Oh thank you!!! ☺️
I want to try the Pamana! 😀
You should!
Love the video!!
Thank you!!
For me the nicest is SBRE Brown an Charred Hickory. Really warm and beautiful colors.
Gorgeous ink!
It really is!
gorgeous work ❤❤❤
Thank you! 😊

Colorverse coffee break, yes!!!

Thank you! I also love brown inks, they look so good on a page, particularly with ephemera!
Every time I watch a video of yours I want to buy bottles of ink! 😂 It’s hard to just buy samples. RO Charred Hickory and Vinta Pamana are gorgeous!
I am an inkstigator! Oh no! Lol.
It's great to see Platinum Mixable Earth Brown in a compatison. I love this underrated ink. Great video - thank you for sharing 😀
Platinum Earth Brown is def one of my favorites, glad to hear you love it, too!
Beautiful brown. I use MB blue regularly. They produce very safe inks to use in pens.
Good to know!
Congrats on your first mount blanc ink! Such a classy brown colour. Hopefully more to come
Thank you!
