@futurepastvintagecollectables so it would have to be above 9.8 for centering, or they ignore that all together? I am just curious. I am not into slabs, but I would think centering of the cover would be an important criteria

Dave back in 1983 bought Uncanny XMen #94 for $60.00 Canadian from a lab guy never pressed got a 8.0 cgc. Tried to buy ASM#77 but dealer said was 6.5; wouldn’t wait till next day for me to pay the $100.00 Canadian he wanted. Put it up aunctions and got $150.00. Over street has a 6.5 for $50.00 in the guide. Had I bought it would I have overpaid. ASM #100 8.5 got $300.00 Canadian. I just wanted #77 to remind me as my mom bought years ago for me.
Probably just paper behind the first cover and a stiffer board behind the second (front and back). I have done it like that before. It becomes tricky on a triple cover.

Being well centered isn’t a criteria for 9.8. Some people (me included) try to avoid those if possible, because we are picky.
