How do you get back to the Home Screen after you are done playing a game and want to select another game? Do I have to unplug the power every time? No button brings me back to the home screen!

Have you tried it with the A500 Mini? Might save plugged in a separate USB keyboard?

Not being able to map a HOME button on a USB keyboard is just careless attention to detail. Hope they fix that in a FW update

Great video! I'm Italian and I also had a Spectrum when I was a kid. Actually I still have it but... it hasn't worked for a couple of years. As you rightly said in the video, the costs to buy another one or to repair mine are very high and so I decided to buy "the Spectrum". I'm happy with the result, the keyboard is fantastic, but I was thinking about connecting it to a CRT TV to have the same feeling as in the past. I'll follow your example!

Great video as always mate.. I can understand the use case and looks pretty good if you want to play on the Big TV from the couch. But like, you (if I had one), I'd rather just play on the "the Spectrum" keyboard, as, really, that's the whole point of the product. That true nostalgic feel. I personally don't understand why everyone is chasing a controller for it. It's got one. It's the keyboard. :D :P

At the end of the day for $15-$12 dash cam it serves a purpose to cover your six is it great now let’s get the job done yes

Loving my new "The Spectrum" which is a christmas present from one of my amazing son's. I am now the proud owner of 3x of Retro Games Limited machines so far. I have TheC64 Maxi (christmas present from my wife in 2021) I also have TheA500 Mini (again a christmas present from my wife in 2023). TheAtari 400 Mini, TheVic20 Maxi and TheC64 Mini i'm not bothering to add to my now growing collection of these amazing modern day retro machines. Got my fingers crossed that they launch TheA1200 Maxi next year, even though i built/put together my very own "FrakenPi" all encased in a reproduction A1200 casing along with a Pi 4, Keyrah v2 keyboard interface and fully working A1200 keyboard. Have a belter of a New Year Toohey :) :) :) :)

I would love to see a list of makes and models that people have confirmed are working. I've bought an aftermarket xbox 360 controller which looks identical to the one in this video ('Powerwave' brand) and it's not working on either the original firmware or on v1.02. I can't go buying random controlllers in the hopes I'll find one that works :(

To be fair, this wasn't the intended version being played on day one. There was a day one update the second you installed the game with an internet connection. Still, I'll just never understand why the CD Projekt board thought it was okay to release it when the game clearly needed another solid year of production with the full staff working on it.

Ugh, having no luck with any of my controllers, Nintendo, XBox nor 3rd party. Nothing seems to register at all, no movement on the menus let alone the games.

Good video. Got the same stick, I am wondering if its possible to upload more roms. Especially for the snes emulator with msu1 roms. Backup is a must but do you have to flash the whole sd card or can you just transfer files if the emulator allow the files?

I’ve managed to get my speccy working with my PS5 controller. Froze the game up, unplugged it, plugged back in, worked great in most games and fine with the menu. Anyone managed to get an 8bitDo neo geo working with the Speccy? Cheers, great video 😊

If you're interested, i can recommend "Windows XP Professional SP3 x86 - Integral Edition" Found it on a website called Zone94. Much included software, codecs, drivers, etc... Installed right onto my SATA machine, and it has no trial.

Are any other buttons mapped to anything? like menu/save states etc?

There was only one joystick, the rest were gamepads. You also you didn't show the use of the fire buttons on the joystick, you just moved it left and right.

Thanks for playing, and I'm happy you liked Santatron. If you're playing with the A600GS controller, try switching to CD32 mode in the control options. The buttons will then act as an independent directional fire control giving you twinstick action on your Amiga. Let's see you on the high score tables!

Vibes is the brand of cheap electronics they sell at Five Below in the US. I have a whole collection of Vibes RGB lamps, light bulbs and light strips.

To be fair, for £18 it's not the worst I've seen. Swap out that SD card and it might be alright for some folks.

I understand where the criticism comes from - looks like people got fed with “next gen hardware” such as Vampire for example, which sells for almost a price of a real deal
