I just started watching your reactions (specifically because I'm a fan of Critical Role), and I am absolutely captivated with how much effort you put in to it! I have watched (and really enjoyed) a lot of reaction channels, but the one thing I'm often missing is the reactors taking time to learn and investing time in the show they are watching. Even if I have enjoyed those reactions, I can't help but get frustrated when it seems like they just rush through the seasons without any interest in learning about it; specially when the comments are full of answers to questions they are asking in the video. I know everyone is different, and watch things in their own way (and that is totally cool), but it is very satisfying to watch someone put the extra effort in to a fandom I am interested in! I am sure at least some other people feel the same way watching you! Seeing you reading comments and wanting to learn more is awesome! Keep up the good work! I hope to see your reaction to season 3 when it hits in October :D (I think it's October at least:P)

Brennan mostly runs games and has done so since he was 10. There is a great new interview out with him where he goes into a lot more detail about his life. He does occasionally get to be a player. The only thing better than Brennan GM'ng in my book is him playing a character. Dimension 20 seasons Misfits and Magic, A Crown and Fey and Flowers, Burrows End, and Ravening War (But watch Crown of Candy first) are all seasons Brennan get to play. He is also a player in one of Cristal Role's Candela Obscura seasons, as well as Battle for Beyond by DnD Beyond. Finally, he, Lou, and Aabria along with another friend Erica all have a podcast that is soooooo very good. Its called Worlds Beyond Number. They are in their first campaign with a few once shots here and there.

Alys Rivers, the woman at Harrenhal, is a witch of sorts. While she appears young, some say she is ancient. There is a popular fan theory that I like, but don't buy into, that when Alys Rivers "died" she adopted the identity of a Red Priestess of the Lord of Light called Melisandre.

The battle at the beginning, the battle of the burning mill, was between the Blackwoods,(team black), and the Brackens,(team green). The Blackwoods and Brackens have been feeding for more than a millennia, so long no one remembers why. You may remember from season 1 episode 3, "King of the Narrow Sea" when Rhaenyra was receiving suitors at Storms End and a young boy made his pitch while an older bully chimed him, but then the younger killed the older bully. The younger was of House Blackwood and the bully from House Bracken and that's why they fought. I'm probably wrong, but the Blackwood we saw in this episode may be Benjicott Blackwood who becomes known in this war as Bloody Ben Blackwood.

The sawing sound was them cutting off the head of Prince Jaehaerys. They said a couple of times "no head, no gold." The murder of that poor little boy was much worse in the book. I'm glad they toned it down for the show.

I can't really choose between team green and team black because they both kind of suck? As for favorite GoT character, I can't do that. I CAN list a favorite pairing though and that's Arya and the hound. When she walks away as he's begging her to kill him was a crazy moment. Another great moment was Jamie in the tub with Brienne after he gets de-mittened and he's telling her about when he earned the title Kingslayer. POWERFUL moment.

Welcome back stranger!! I personally think everyone I know misunderstands Chrisjen! She has the terrible burden of trying to make everyone understand that she is doing everything she possibly can to protect humanity! It's like she has a foresight of danger from threats on different fronts and everyone thinks she is over protective. That's all fine and dandy until sh*t hits the fan!? Although you edited out the scene of Amos talking about his childhood. Very very dark but revealing.... sad. I relish every scene with Ashford and Drummer together! So good! Dont feel bad if you feel a little lost at times. This show kept me guessing the whole way through. It drip feeds you a lot of reveals steadily over the show. I think, at times at least, that we're supposed to feel like John; a little lost. I think the Game of Thrones comparison is a fair one. Theyve both got a lot of moving parts, complex character motivations, etc. The drama and intrigue keeps piling. I also appreciate the fact that it sidesteps the whole "White Savior" trope. There are definitely some trappings of it here and there but they manage to avoid falling into that trope. Maaaaan weve got some good stuff coming out soon. Arcane season 2, Vox Machina season 3, The Boys season 4 !!!!

So from here on out any time youre hearing English spoken, theyre actually speaking Portuguese. It was an artistic choice that i understand as it makes it a bit more palatable to a predominantly english speaking audience. Anjin is the japanese word for Pilot and thats what they call John Blackthorn. I also thought it was amusing they named their pilot episode the japanese word for Pilot. Maybe I take my media too seriously because I always struggle to answer your ending question. It really depends on the type of thing I'm watching what my criteria for shows are. I guess in general if I'm looking for a good show, the dialogue has to be on point and it needs to match the tone of the scene around it. If a show, through its writing, I'd able to make me feel the kinds of emotions the writers intend for me to feel, that's a success in my eyes. Something that will immediately turn me off? If the actors are phoning it in. A good actor can elevate a poorly written piece. There are movies and shows that are RIDICULOUS and yet you can tell the actors are all in on every scene and it elevates the work. The same is true in reverse; poorly written dialogue and scenes can make a good actor look silly. All in all I'm really glad you enjoyed this. There's always that slight anxiety when recommending a show to someone that it's just not gonna click with them for one reason or another.

Your calamity reactions have been great! If you’re interested in more serious actual play shows and can handle horror I highly highly recommend checking out Candela Obscura which is an original show made by critical role using one of their own ttrpg systems. Each season is 3 or 4 episodes long and the cast and dm changes each time. The seasons are set in the same world but you don’t have to watch them in order of release, my personal favorites are The Circle of Needle and Thread and The Circle of the Crimson Mirror

30:15 Just so you know for your future videos of season 2, Morph is nonbinary, their pronouns are they/them. It's a change from the old show. And Beau DeMayo has confirmed Morph has romantic feelings for Wolverine, so we should get more character development next season!

Morph was confessing their own feeling for Wolverine in a form that would resonate with him, "She can't say it but I can" they were trying to motivate Wolverine to heal while also saying the quiet part out loud. Messed up to use someone else's form but it made sense in this instance.

Apocalypse (En Sabah Nur) is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is one of the world's first mutants, and was a principal villain for the original X-Factor team and later the X-Men and related spin-off teams. Created by writer Louise Simonson and artist Jackson Guice, Apocalypse first appeared in X-Factor #5 (June 1986).[3] Apocalypse is one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe where he is the husband of Genesis and the father of the original incarnation of the Horsemen of Apocalypse. I am not sure I’d consider Nightcrawler beyond omega bc omega particularly means u can effect the whole earth or more with ur power at once, like Magneto did. But, his defenses are absolutely insane and he’s as good a sword fighter as Shang-Chi is a fist fighter.

It’s not the very first suit but a classic style. His first suit was grey like actual iron. Pretty sure that suit was made for his cartoon show which was set in the same world but never did very big numbers.

The finale shows the Alpha & the Omega, i.e. the beginning and end of History on Earth. Apocalypse is the Alpha. Nathan Summers is the Omega. They battle each others through time, from the beginning to the end.

The Iron Man suit in this episode is the same one he used in season 1 of the 90s Iron Man animated series. An interesting choice, because the armor was completely revamped for the second season (along with the writing staff and animation studio), as well as for his appearance in Spider-Man the Animated Series, which guest-starred the X-Men. This episode takes place after the end of both series as verified by Peter and Mary Jane's cameo appearance. Personally, I would have gone with the season 2 armor, but I won't complain. Bastion has the ability to teleport. He did it once previously at the end of episode 8. He also has the abilities of the advanced sentinel Nimrod born into him. Nimrod would immediately begin reconstructing itself when damaged or destroyed. Polaris was the other "child" on the boat. She was previously seen briefly in the original series episode "Cold Comfort." In the comics, the consciousness of Scott and Jean are transported 2,000 years into the future by their time-displaced daughter and they raise Nathan for 12 years under the guise of two others named "Slym" and Redd," but they kept their identities a secret from him. This happened in the miniseries "The Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix."

The duo that cameoed in Hells Kitchen with Dare Devil were Cloak and Dagger. I missed identifying them my first watch, but caught with them on the follow up. This show has sooo sooo many cameos, but it does not feel over done. I love this so much! Polaris, Magneto's daughter, was the shadowy figure on the boat with Rogue, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. ♥ Morph - appreciate how much this character contributed to iconic appearances this season. I think you would enjoy the Fallout series. Check it out!
