Storm's costume change/transformation when she regained her powers and this whole scene was PHENOMENAL! I think this one moment dominated the episode for me and I missed a lot of other goodies - I need to go back and watch again. Was happy to see Forge and Storm have a moment, too. Was this an ongoing relationship in the original series?

As much as I love your Critical Role reactions, the live, unscripted, and unabridged CR content is pretty intense and time consuming - not great for a reaction channel, but it should be enjoyed in your own time. You don't want to miss great lines like "As you know, intestines are my favored terrain" or Grog getting polymorphed into a bird and gaining two points to intelligence.
Yeah the life death comic forge does in fact study the arts. Same with Xavier in that Shiar story. All comic accurate. And magneto is most often an antihero in the comic as well. So the show is staying true to
Guardian is like Superman with slightly less powers but his strength is tied to his confidence
Same with Spider-Man apparently. I've never understood how people could forgive Sam Raimi's second Spider-Man after it linked Peter's powers to his confidence and self-esteem. 🤢

Nightcrawler survived. As for Forge, in the comics he was the next in line of shamans and it's tied to the Adversary story then as well. When he helps Storm regain her power in the comics he used a combination of his tech and magic.

Only episode wasn't as good as the rest was episode 4 jubilee/storm.
Episode 1 & 5 were the best ones thus far.

When the realization people have when they finally realize Nathan Charles Summers is in fact CABLE!
Charles was not dead. In the last episode of the original series he was injured so bad no Earthly means could save him. With the psychic bond he had with lilandra they were able to contact her and she took him back with her to save him. They announced to the world he was dead.
Oooooo got it, completely forgot about that and the way they played it off in the 1st episode of this series i just kinda went along and presumed him dead(even tho i questioned when morph briefly changed into him lol) thanks for the info!!

So that was from a 2 parter in the original series "One Man's Worth."--> it's an adaption of a comic story in which Xavier is killed in the past BEFORE he made the X-Men. In the comics, it leads into the Age of Apocalypse universe (in which Apocalypse rules the earth and kills off most of the non-mutant superheroes like Avengers and Fantastic Four).
Magneto created the X-Men...and he and Rogue are married in this reality, with a son named Charles. Cyclops and Havoc are agents for Mr. Sinister, Wolverine and Jean are lovers--- Beast is evil-- it's a really dope mini series.
Anyway, in the show, it isn't "Age of Apocalypse," but in this new timeline, the Xmen are created and led by Magneto.
The Avengers and Sentinels are in a war with mutants, and Storm and Wolverine are married.
Bishop and his sister, Shard, show up in this timeline to prevent Xavier from being killed. Storm and Wolverine assist them, and in saving Xavier, reset the timeline to normal (which means they are no longer married or together).

@@BobbyChill2 When I was a kid I watched the episode where Juggernaut (who is massively huge and super strong) punched Gladiator but Gladiator did not even move an inch. Then he punched Juggernaut and Juggernaut flew to the next island. I think someone uploded it here in youtube. You can watch it Juggernaut vs Gladiator I think is the title here in youtube.
