I was running na D6B on a road job when the boss asked me if I could run a pan. I told him I had done it a time or two and he said we needed to start panning and he'd keep me on dozer pay if I'd run the pan till he found somebody. I said I would and I will lay you VERY HEAVY odds that he quit looking the second I said yes. That pan was a TS-14. I had already run TS-24's, a Cat 631, an S-7 Euc and a 222 Wabco. A 619 was yet to come. I was there the last day of the job and my back is hurting and my ears ringing just watching this. GOOD times!

I am also interested in seeing your footage of the May show. It is an awesome show to be part of with my favorite being the earthmovers.

Interesting machine! I wish the bucket crowd operating mechanism was shown more clearly. It appears the crowd is cable operated, but I don't know how the bucket dipper (crowd) arms are withdrawn when the arms are horizontal. Gravity would allow the arms to withdraw when the arms are at an angle, but not when the arms are horizontal, & a cable can only pull, not push. The bucket dumping function is clearly hydraulically operated, & I wonder if the engine on the rear (counterweight) of the machine is only for operating a hydraulic pump?

Was this machine a prototype because it doesn't appear to have a very refined look to it.

That is bizarre. Very cool.

silent Chain cover isn't on it. was it removed for a reason? looks like the boom was dropped. the point section looks pretty mangled and the lacing has quite a few bent up pieces. carb open so mice, incests and moisture have been getting in the engine. Was it stuck? clutches look alright but brakes are hard to tell. track pins look different are the aluminum or stainless? if you can get it cheap it might not be bad but not what they're asking for it

My Dad owned that very dozer from 1960 until his death in 2001! I grew up on it.
