  • Recently I inspected a Lorain Dragline powered by a six-cylinder Waukesha gasoline engine. This video has no audio. If you'd like to provide feedback in the comments, please include the time stamp from the video you're providing feedback on, and I will do a voice-over video sometime in the future that includes the feedback provided.

silent Chain cover isn't on it. was it removed for a reason? looks like the boom was dropped. the point section looks pretty mangled and the lacing has quite a few bent up pieces. carb open so mice, incests and moisture have been getting in the engine. Was it stuck? clutches look alright but brakes are hard to tell. track pins look different are the aluminum or stainless? if you can get it cheap it might not be bad but not what they're asking for it

I suspect the current owner wouldn't have any knowledge, and probably acquired in similar to current condition. I believe the engine may be stuck, but haven't tackled that yet. I was unable to rotate more than a degree or two off the fan and by hand - so, suspect piston(s) might be stuck. I believe the pins are stainless as they are not oxidized to a level I would expect given it's been sitting for more than 4 or more years and they seemed harder than aluminum.
