Started off as an Art/Historical project but then started adding some gameplay elements for interest. Not quite sure what it will end up being. 3 years in so far and still so many things it would be nice to add. Glad you like it.

@@Hereford1642 It works as a historical project, you just want a twist. Use it as an foundation, why not? And make money in the interim. Anywho, I wish you all the best of luck, it's genuinely impressive what you and your old man have done.

Hey Ed so glad you like it, still quite a long way to go but the main parts are in place now. Its has taken a lot of time, I am in my fourth year now. I enjoy working on it very much. Yes I hope you get to play it.

Thank you, its got the foundation to build upon now, Lots of ideas about game mechanics and gameplay related things on lists that I do after play testing. Not going to aim for the stars but if it has some quality playability I will be happy. I could go down several roads with it as you pointed out. If it slowly evolves it could be good. Cheers

I used a couple of different sources mainly maps and then I was given a drawing that was made by a local artist used in museums. It was only then I saw that it had a large main gate house with bridge. I think further research and work is needed as I didnt know that the castle would be such a big attraction for people.

@@Hereford1642 There's a lot to research there. According to Leland, it was comparable to Windsor at its peak. As far as I can recall it would have been in disrepair by 1642. Trying to find accurate drawings is really difficult. There was an idea that it was built by William I, but it's also very possible that it pre-dates the Norman Conquest, but was still constructed in that style.

Hi its called Hereford 1642. Its a game I am making about my home city. I have used old maps and historical data to rebuild it from the year 1642. At the moment I'm building the characters for the game.

I love that game dearly. After playing I got inspired to build Hereford, it has the same size map as KCD. I hope KCD 2 has a big city in it and crafting. To be compared to that game is an honour. Thank you

Thank you. Can you imagine going to Ledbury or even Gloucester in a DLC would be epic. But yeah I site like Goodrich Castle would be a good size for me.

That's nice of you to say. I hope it fills that hole in history a little bit and gives people a chance to see what it might of been like. 3d graphics are a great way to see these things. I hope to have people in the game by the end of the year ❤

I can do a video of castle street and the castle if you like. I have all of the cathedral building done too with the bishops palace in place. It looks nice round that area now, its all been furnished and has foliage.

Thanks I am one year away from completing the art work for the game. I am looking at maybe early access on steam. I will definitely have a big update available on steam this year. I wouldn't recommend downloading the demo on steam at the moment as its not representative of the project anymore.

Hi its for a game called Hereford 1642. Its an recreation of Hereford city and the surrounding country side. Its historically accurate with an emphasis on realism. You play as a character learning the ways of 17th century life.

Yes there is option to go from third to first person and back.

I think you may be guessing for a long time, its a photogrammetry scan of a church from out side of Hereford. It was to nice a model not to use so it was incorporated into the map. Belmont abbey fits onto the map so be sure that will be made one day. Thanks for the comment.

Hi thanks for the comment, yes the street names appear in game as well. Its still very early days but you can find the demo on steam that is all the work we have done so far, there is no gameplay though just the city to look around. www.Hereford1642.co.uk has the links for the download

It will be a long one, I go at a relaxing pace to avoid burnout. And its so cool to be doing it I enjoy the process. Still building core art assets.

Hi , its single player only with npc's. We played with multiplayer but was to complex to get all the systems multiplayer ready.

@@tomblake7209 At the moment the first stage is getting it to a 3d interactive map then the game mechanics will get into full swing, We already have quite a few complex game mechanics we just need to carry on and link them together. We are only 2 years into development so expect a lot more to come.
