From the Monkees return to the stage at the Beacon Theater in NYC, this show marks the first time Michael Nesmith, Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork have played together since 1997; and of course, it's the group's first outing since singer Davy Jones passed away in February of 2012.

Peter's voice sounds beautiful now, even after the cancer, where in the 60's he couldn't carry a tune in a bucket.
I can't imagine what it must have been like to be up there realizing that Davy wasn't coming back. I'm glad they went on because I'm sure that's what Davy would have wanted.

He could sing, the songs, including the ones he wrote, were always in the wrong octave for him.
