Such a beautiful area , thank you for highlighting it , stunning restaurants too , looks amazing. We tend to extend our cruise holidays on either or both ends so this video idea for us is so interesting , and equally entertaining. All the food and wine looked delicious. And to know the cat is recovering is such welcome news. Thanks so much Stuart and Christina , excellent as usual. 😍⛴️
I have always wanted to go someplace to just be there and soak up the place. But I have never known how to go about it. This gave me quite a lot of insight. Thank you.
Great video, as always. Brought back memories, stayed in the Astir Palace half a dozen times before it was a Four Seasons, now insanely priced. One of the AP hotels had a lift from the lobby down to the beach through a cave, the other had an amazing terrace. Stayed in the Intercontinental this year post Regent Splendor , we always have to dash home so only ever stay one night pre or post cruise, concierge level has great Acropolis views and lounge provides all food / drink needs so is great for a one nighter.
@@marklloyd136 we stayed before at the Astir Palace too and enjoyed swimming off the platform. Can’t justify the prices now though! Thanks for the info on the intercontinental 🙏🏼
Oh my goodness, I need to quit watching you two. We just booked the same Seabourn cruise for 2025 and now it seems we will need to follow your tracks to Vouliagmen. Another great and helpful video. Thanks
Everything looks stunning but all those admission charges would add up! Would make a long weekend stay or pre-cruise stay quite expensive. Restaurant prices are high as well, i assume?
@@geoffpeirce406 it’s lovely and you can keep costs down by going in at entry level at the lake and public beach and eating in the local tavernas. The meal at Louizidis was only €45 for two of us including wine one evening! Bargain. It is a lovely place. We also stayed in an airbnb which was brilliant and bought shopping in the local supermarket and we loved that just as much. 🤩
Beautiful ❤
Well done! Athens proper can be so sketchy, it’s nice to know where to stay outside of the city. Cheers!

Thanks for the great comments ❤️ Latest is the cat had two bad teeth and is now back and happy! 🎉
Great video, very informative....brought back loads of memories of summers on Greek Islands and it's only just outside Athens, who knew? Well you did.
@@choosincruisin Thanks for the great comments ❤️❤️
Amazing !
Great video, defo on the must do list!
Ready to go for a swim there! Watching it now. What a nice alternative for a stay in Athens! M&G☘️
@@GeneMcC It is lovely! ❤️🤗
