  • We just got our National Poultry Improvement Plan certificate that ensures our chicken flock is free of Avian Influenza and Salmonella. These birds were tested to guarantee our eggs and meat are safe for consumption.

Congratulations on your NPIP certification! I do have a question, do you have problems with coyotes? I'm in upstate SC and I hear them in the woods behind my house frequently.

Our neighbors up the street hear them all the time and have seen some, but we’ve never seen evidence near our home or chicken area. We have our dog with the chickens, and the fence is 7.5 feet tall. The only predator issues we’ve had are rats eating baby chicks and owls eating birds that don’t go to the coop at night.
