Welcome! I mainly post music on this channel. Enjoy.
Psalm 68 - De Heer zal opstaan tot den strijd
Recording from 1912
Text:
Geloofd zij God met diepst ontzag!
Hij overlaadt ons, dag aan dag,
Met zijne gunstbewijzen;
Die God is onze zaligheid.
Wie zou die hoogste Majesteit
Dan niet met eerbied prijzen?
Die God is ons een God van heil;
Hij schenkt, uit goedheid, zonder peil,
Ons ’t eeuwig zalig leven:
Hij kan, en wil, en zal in nood,
Zelfs bij het naadren van den dood,
Volkomen uitkomst geeven.
English translation (roughly):
Blessed be God with deepest awe!
He overloads us day by day,
With his favors;
That God is our salvation.
Who would be the highest Majesty
Then not praise with reverence?
That God is to us a God of salvation;
He bestows, out of goodness, without measure,
Our eternal blissful life:
He can, and will, and will in need,
Even at the nigh of death,
Provide perfect results.

My aunts don't go back on holiday because they feel sorry for the people. I on the other hand have only known the country this way. Still like to go on holiday there even though times are though.
Listening to it after robert mugabe death.
The fact that Apartheid South Africa was the only country to recognise this country's independence, whilst The U.N. urged other countries to *not* recognise their independence is ridiculously ironic.

ONS SAL ANTWOORD OP JOU ROEPSTEM,
Everyone reading this before 29th of May 2024 VOTE DA!!!
The French lyrics of O Canada are, what the kids call nowadays, "based."
SA seems to be on the road to emulating Zimbabwe. What a pity.
When i head it the first watching this particular service. I loved the hymn ❤ perfect
My favorite hymn !!!!! Of then all. Heard it first at this service for the Queen for the first time ❤
i wish i was bron in this country to see this
In only 20 years the ANC has succeeded in turning a once functional nation into a third world cesspit which it has been for the last 10 years. What surprised me is it took them that long! I expected them to f**K it up in only 5 years!
Ons sal op staan ons sal leef ons vir jou suid afrika so trots op my land bring ou suid afrika weer terug bid vir GOD amen ❤
The craziest part is that I as a Swede can understand easily 80% of afrikaans. After centuries it's still so close.
It's crazy to see what is left today of South Africa in comparison what it was. Such shame and sadness of a nation that is no more in reality.
The Best of the best together ❤
that penguin can say the n word because its half black
This is so beautiful. Do you have the original source for the vocals?
Sadly, it often takes a tragedy to show everyone that the person who warned them was right.
Beautiful anthem written by C.J Langenhoven. The old SA was the best. I lived there from 1975 to 1988 so very sad to see its decline 😢
Hoe Wonderlik Dankie Sudi Afrika Mag ons almal in God se oorwinning juig... vir ons land.... om alles weer te kan herstel ... Dankie onse Grote God en Vader vir U almag 😑😏😊
South Africa was a great country hijacked by those who never understood the concept of a country and who never managed to create any form of civilisation of their own throughout their history.
What a lovely flag your old flag was. The new flag looks like it’s been designed in a curio shop. Terrible looking thing!
🥀💔
The time when South Africa was great
One day,we will use this great anthem...again!!!
From 🇿🇦: I'm sorry we failed you brothers

As a Dutchman living in Spain, I left my country because of so many immigrants ruining my country. I wish the Afrikaners their freedom and luck in their mission to save their country
Rona ma Domkraag ka sebele, pelo ya me ya bo ele kgakala kgala dithabeng, hatsheng la bo phiri le bo phokoje
What a paradise, before 1994 ❤
Dit is wat ons graag wil onthou van 'n land waarop ons trots was en is! Prys die HERE ,Vader Seun en Heilige Gees !!!!!!@
It would be much better if they wanted to demonstrate the end of racism and segregation, instead of removing the flag, placing the flags of the Zulu Kingdom and the Xhosa Kingdom next to the flag, showing the British, Dutch and South African origins of the nation. Despite this, I think the best thing would be to keep the exact same blue, white and orange flag, without any alteration, over time it would be cleaned and the segregationists would be left without their own flag.
We were forced by the United Nations, USA and the UK to give this nation to hardened communists! I am not praising apartheid, by not commies!

good old days... what a grand civilisation long gone
It really wasn't
I prefer this flag and the anthem. Do you think Trudeau might bring them back?
No that dirty commie will not.
God seën die Boere, groot pioniers om Suid-Afrika voorspoedig te maak, net soos die Anglos-Saksiese en Skot-Ierse pioniers wat my geliefde tuisland, die Verenigde State groot gemaak het
0:57 the best part of the anthem
From Wikipedia: "However, at a rugby union test match against New Zealand in 1992, the crowd spontaneously sang "Die Stem" during a moment of silence for victims of political violence in South Africa,[23] and although it was ostensibly agreed upon beforehand that it would not be played, an instrumental recording of "Die Stem" was played over the stadium's PA system's loudspeakers after the New Zealand national anthem was performed, and spectators sang along, sparking controversy afterwards." Now, after 30 years of so-called freedom, victims of crime during the last 30 years outnumber victims of political violence in the preceding 50 years by 10 to 1. I hope that the activist world that was the direct cause of the collapse of South Africa is proud of their achievements. May they all E.S.A.D.
South Africa until 1994: The only nuclear power in Africa, richest in Africa and 17th in the world economy, highly advanced medicine with the first successful organ transplant, very safe, one of the lowest taxes and one of the best for opening a business, had employment for all, strong fight against corruption, a one of the first countries to use information technology and robotics in the world. South Africa after 1994 and today: Despite the end of Apartheid it is the most unequal country in the world, the majority of the people live in extreme poverty, a destroyed and obsolete healthcare, very violent with robberies and riots, high taxes, high unemployment, extremely corrupt and outdated services.
1:26 wow, look at these buildings in South Africa in the 1960s, it's similar to New York, very beautiful and modern even for today, imagine for that time.
RIP Egypt Ancient Kingdom, Ethiopian Empire, Moroccan Empire Kingdom, Republic of South Africa Union, Rhodesia and Zaire, the best countries that ever existed in Africa
Laat jou hart warm klop vir ons land ..God is True and faithful to all who've trusted Him...Those who wait for GOD are never disappointed...🎉❤
And were challenge is to dear... that right there discribed the whole nation
