I've got 1k+ hours in this game, easily 1500+ (old 3ds saves lost, ripparoni). If you're a long time player, try solo speedrunning! You can challenge yourself with really unique gimmick setups and weapons in this game. I recommend trying to get your hands on the three secret gold/ silver weapons too. I won't say how :>

Yes. It is the last Monster Hunter. It was their way of saying goodbye to all the fans they made for 15 years so they could cater to Xbox cowadooty kids. Unlike every title 5th gen and beyond, it's actually a challenge and very rewarding. It's a culmination of all the perfect systems they developed before throwing them all out the window for World.

Brooo this was my main game during the pandemic 😩 being locked up in the house playing for hours upon hours. I defeated all the deviant monsters and got my big crown and even reached max rank which was 999 😩 good times man. Took my time learning every single weapon and made builds for all of them. My favorite style was always adept but valor was a close second 🔥 Idk how populated to servers are nowadays since i sold my switch a while back but back then you would always find a lobby. This game is just so damn good i absolutely recommend.

MH is always worth to play.

After being disappointed in the MH Wilds demo I'm considering jumping back into MHGU. I never really got into it, because I rather played MH4U, but I do long for that old school Monster Hunter vibe.

the ONLY thing that TURNS ME OFF is no damage numbers. Thats it! nothing else. I still have it on the 3dsxl but never touched it (MHG version)

Still the best MH game IMO! Not a lot of lore exposition, no unnecessary "cinematic" cutscenes, just sheer hunting. The world looks so cool, it makes us respect the environment and the creatures in it. It makes us carefully select loadout where baits are required for properly fishing, need bug nets, need pickaxes. Every action has a commitment cost to it, be it sharpening, gathering or even drinking potions. We have to worry about carrying hot and cold drinks as well! And last but not the least, the cherry on top, hunter arts and hunting styles! This is pinnacle monster hunter!

I started my MH journey with World. Since then I played Rise and Stories 2. Now I'm playing MHGU (mostly because I want to fight the deviants) and some things I just dislike about this game is the extremely small bag (the number of items you carry is very limited), the fact that you have to paint the monster and that it runs so frequently. Chasing the monster feels like the game doesn't respect my time 😅

I'll admit, I never thought of using the polo tickets and exchanging them with the veggie elder. I just always figured there would be specific maps with the best feline location where you're always guaranteed a gathering point with them

First of all as a longtime monster Hunter fan especially even when I went completely blind. It's guides like this that make it possible for people even who can't see this game they can still understand the mechanics and armed with the screen reader. And muscle memory which is how I play. I don't know you but I've always been curious about how palo/prowlers build experience. I know there are quests that can basically increase the level cap for them. But I've never actually found out how the experience works. Anyway congratulations on acquiring new member to the den.

For those who are playing in another language (at least in the spanish translation) there may be a tranlation error where it says for example: "10.000 materials" instead of "10.000 zenies", but is only translation error and will still require zenis (I recommend switching to the english translation because there are other tiny inaccuracies)
