you were right, but mostly because the car stayed in its power band and he was already sliding. If the car wasn’t already sliding and they did the same downshift while entering a drift, the turbo pressure would’ve dropped for a second until the exhaust flow spools it back up.

It came out of boost, but it’s 11:1 compression so it spools almost instantly

the clutch kick did put him in high rpm so ya he instantly got all his boost pretty much

I’m 3.91 here! But use 3.64 as well. Every track I’ve ever been on the 3.15 put people in between gears with a zf. Works well for t56 v8 cars!

All it could do is slightly contaminate the weld if I do it while it’s still too hot, but we do this on thin sheet metal often when there is a chance of fire on the back side or we are worried about warpage
