I have two Hohner Corso, AD & GC tuned and I have played on diatonic acordions in about 30 years. These accordions are very old and they are soon needs repairs I have also a GCF Hohner Corona but it dont sound nice. I have some really old ones that I found a long ago on some ”flymarkets” It all started when met an old man ho had hundreds of accordions in his museum

Overall a solid product! I'd play it, or mount it on the underside of one of my organs with a clear vinyl tubing extending the mouthpiece. I'm sure tremolo effects can be done using breath control, but might have been cool to have a simple battery operated revolving shutter, or better yet a coil spring powered shutter and a long slide lever along the top to tension it with visual feedback of the position of the lever.

Maybe it just comes with being financially challenged, but I've never bought something unique and never taken it out of the box. Interestingly, my sister was one of the first E ba/yers, before it was even called that, and I bid on a used red metal Hohner Melodica and won! 13 bux. I was hooked. I used Spellsaver (a site that generated misspellings of the 'bays listings titles, for years before the 'bay did it themselves...bummer!) to win a Bonvicini Pianochord ('Electrocord) "accordiAN" instead of Accordion. Since it was misspelled it wasn't seen and my 30 dolr biid one. I've always been a deal magnet. - SAVE THE ORGANS

Interesting video but better to don't touch the reeds with the fingers (which are a little bit acid) and blow on the reeds (moisture)!

I'm slowly waiting to get the resources to fix up an inherited piece. This video was very interesting.

Very good instruction. Thank you very much for this beautiful demo. I will have to follow these for solving same issues of my Paulo Soprani accordion. A problem is there. The wind holes are very small there. I must have to be very careful on replacing the valves of inside of reeds.

That spoon is not good you will ended with wax dripping all over place! And you will not get even flow of wax.

So, how do you figure out the order of your reeds? I opened one up because it was rattling, and there was about 10 reeds bouncing around

Hello, I learned a lot from your video! I now know that I have to replace two reeds for the reason that my father (who I inherited my "steirische Harmonika" from) had replaced 2 "same tone" reeds with 2 2-tone (or bi tone reeds). Unfortunately I can't continue my music school lessons unless I put the original same tone reeds back in. My instrument looks a lot bigger and complicated though, so I think I would like to have this done professionally. In what state are you guys located? Or do you know anyone in the Savannah GA area who can do this for me?

Interesting instrument, but sounds nowadays like an cheap chinese kids keyboard.

instead of a scraper and an accordion file i used a screwdriver and a nail file, and it worked just fine!
