Ey up! I’m Gem and I’m from West Yorkshire. I’m a wheelchair user that enjoys a lot of things in life. I love to analyse the experiences I have, then share them - probably with jokes in between.
When I was younger, there weren’t many disabled people in the media so I want to make sure I add my sparkle to the tiny part of the internet on this page. Oh I also have a condition called Osteogenesis Imperfecta (type 3) aka Brittle Bones, because some people like the deets.
After starting a blog in 2016, I now use my years of experience to create content, public speak and consult on disability around the world!

Gem, this is such a good talk. So many people this time of year deal with Seasonal Affective Disorder. Many feel depression and anxiety because they think they're supposed to feel a certain way or are overscheduled. It is important to find your comfort zone and support from those who care about you. Thanks for sharing!
