    I think as we transition from kids/teens/adults, when the bones stop growing, in general they become less fragile. Really interesting what you said about possibly 10 types. By every observable measure I'm same as you i.e. type 3, yet my experience of BBS has been very different in adult life from others like you from what you're describing (btw I'm 53).

      Also on a similar theme you mentioned about experience of parents. Well the 20 yr age gap between us, much less awareness of OI in the 1970s. On several occasions when my parents took me to hospital with fractures they were suspected of child abuse. Re. doctors it was a mixed bag. Some were hopeless. Others were great. It became an issue of parents making sure they got me to the right people, often bypassing standard A & E.
