Glad you talked a bit on the whole not needing points but still winning them anyway thing that happens in VGC as very interested in it What are the cons of capping a players ability to compete in future events in regards to qualifying for worlds when already qualified? Would less repeat winners and participants bring in too many competitors to worlds above there capacity since now regionals will now have more unique winners and top players?

There's a shuttle service called "Robert Q" - the prices are very reasonable and drop you off not too far from the college so a bus/uber can be very easy to get! :)

The scene was virtually dead until SV and the last thing you need is for them to tweak locals to the point where it's almost impossible to get your invite unless you can travel to every regional/IC. They already raised the bar to 500, if people have a problem with that they are free to try to qualify for a 1st round bye

My question is assuming they open this Showdown style platform for VGC specifically And both Gen 10 and switch 2 drop which VGC players is going to buy the actual game, the second version for version exclusives, the new console, a second console to self trade and DLCs for both versions? Or will they just sub exclusively to this platform for the quality of life if don't value the playthrough experience as much? People joke that winning the prize money can help break even to just competing and travel costs but what about the initial investments for the caual VGC player or the hardcore one that can now save all that money? I've heard all of these points when people bring up why this platform should happen but never will

I've watched some Spider-man 100% YT videos I'm kind of disappointed of no Spectacular Spider-man show Kraven with his animal form as is the Kraven I'm most familiar with

"Transparency" this, "Tell us why" that, jeez... Why? So that the way hackcheck is catching people can be bypassed quicker so that we can go back to the rules being unenforced? 🙄 Personally, I play ladder and I breed and train up my own Pokémon. Between Bottle Caps, Mints, Ability Capsules/Patches, the Treasure Eatery, Mirror Herb mechanics, and access to Fresh-Start Mochi, Feathers, and Vitamins, there is no reason to have to generate a new Pokémon when you just need to tweek it. Comepetitive is more accessible now than it's ever been. There's no excuse for hacking.

These genning bans makes me not want to go to a regional. I live in Colorado, so all the regionals are far and I dont want to go through all that travel just to have anxiety about getting my pokemon banned

I actually have to hard disagree on the lack of information for entry to VGC, which as an entry member to vgc might be surprising. Googling pokemon vgc events and going through the official Play! Pokemon Events website gives location, date, pricing, play type, etc. Plus its one of the three main tabs pushed for events. So while having someone recommend it to you is probably the main way peopel find it. Kids just googling "Pokemon Video Game Events" will also find it The description for the "VGC" events nearby me that i found had a VERY detailed description, which with some specific terms like Regulation F and Swiss Round that might need googling, I could easily take part in. Caveat being this is the Organizers description, so while the two shops hosting events near me have quite detailed descriptions, I will give the details FROM the pokemon company are lacking

I didnt get into VGC until SV even though I got SwSh at launch because I had no idea VGC was a thing!
