- The Knoxville Pokemon Regional just happened and we're seeing even more weird judge calls coming out of this. What does this mean for the game, current and future, and what all should be done about it?

These genning bans makes me not want to go to a regional. I live in Colorado, so all the regionals are far and I dont want to go through all that travel just to have anxiety about getting my pokemon banned
Yeah, we totally get it. It's really off putting to realize that some people might be getting banned for no reason of their own and there is nothing they can really do about, resulting in effectively wasted funds to get there. Really puts a damper on the hype....
"Transparency" this, "Tell us why" that, jeez... Why? So that the way hackcheck is catching people can be bypassed quicker so that we can go back to the rules being unenforced? 🙄 Personally, I play ladder and I breed and train up my own Pokémon. Between Bottle Caps, Mints, Ability Capsules/Patches, the Treasure Eatery, Mirror Herb mechanics, and access to Fresh-Start Mochi, Feathers, and Vitamins, there is no reason to have to generate a new Pokémon when you just need to tweek it. Comepetitive is more accessible now than it's ever been. There's no excuse for hacking.
We did make a lot of those points. There is certainly the fact that people who hack and people who work on the software for it will certainly do better jobs at hacking to pass their checks. The games have definitely gotten better at making competitive teams, but it is definitely not *trivial*. 0 speed, legends only appearing once, not all Pokemon in the game all make it more annoying than it should to create a truly competitive team.
