My mother in law literally got me beat half to death, just after getting out of the hospital after suffering a heart attack. I believe she was jealous that me and my ex had more of a connection together than she had with her. Hence my ex saying she as never had a photo taken with her mum before. Then they finally got one, then started arguing. From what I was told. Me and my ex had over 12 photos together, went on beautiful dates, was always strong together. Had a beautiful connection. The only woman who ever loved me. For the first time, I was a changed man, a new man. A good man. I finally found the one. We both loved each other. Her mother was really jealous of me, hence her getting me under surveillance. I treated my ex so good, would do anything she asks, so I'm guessing her mother had nothing on me, so she couldn't say bad about me. So she literally had to use crap against me from 11 years ago. When I was literally a child at the time. Me and my ex loved each other so much I can't see why people couldn't be happy for us both. Because if anything happens to me she wouldn't forgive them. I know this. And it would break her heart. Sadly I didn't know her family worked within the law. I wouldn't of minded though. I loved her. It's cool her dad was a cop. I still love her, even after suffering 2 heart attacks from stress relating, to the jealousy etc. I will always love her.

I’ve been with my partner almost 4 years. At the beginning I didn’t notice it as much but over time I have. Thankfully my partner started to see it as well and noticed how I was being treated. We are trying to go no contact but sadly due to the housing market we are renting out a space with his parents. This is scarily accurate. My MIL set me up for the “interrogation” when I met her brother and sister in law. I was totally naive someone would do this. The first time I met them, they sat me down for two hours questioning/drilling every part of me(my past, my character, my intentions). For two hours! At the time I took it because I cared about my fiancé, but looking back now I’m completely disgusted she would set me up like that. Unfortunately, it was just the beginning of what narcissistic behavior of hers was to come. Interestingly enough I turned out to be a good person for my fiancé, but I will never look at her brother and SIL in a good light.

Letting the narc MIL meet your parents is a big mistake. Their plan is to outdo your parents to gain your preference and then use it against you once you are hooked.

My mother in law let me tell you when i was at my most vulnerable (Treatment for Stage IIIB Cancer) she woke me up from a dead sleep (pain meds kicked in) telling me to call Customer Support for her cable/Wi-Fi I have them on the phone asking questions I don’t have the answer, i tell her i need her pin or password there she is oh she has a tiny scratch on her leg running to the bathroom. I knocked nothing but she didn’t come out so I apologize saying she’ll call back. I hurried gather my purse, shoes and left walking to my friend. Little did i know she told her daughters I yelled and called her names i found out only because one messaged me on Facebook saying how dare i scream and cuss at her Mother (i didn’t have the app so it was months later i found out. One weekend she was out of town upon her return she tells me her neighbor was Frightened by our noise from Love Making so scared she fell out and under her bed. I replied Really what have you been saying that would even make her think of such a thing & btw at the start of Treatment my radiation doctor told me to refrain from sex all together. Now i know why her friend was always apologizing for her she knew. Nothing was ever good enough, did it too slow, she could do it better, We remodeled her kitchen, she would ring that doorbell she got (buzzer in her bedroom and the back porch) ringing for me since i cleaned out/lined the cupboards asking me what did you do with this or that. My legs/feet were swollen so bad I could not get any of my shoes on but there i was up on a ladder in her kitchen touching up the paint getting ready to hang curtains when I got dizzy nauseous, they were out shopping her favorite thing, i left my phone everything went to the back to lay down. There he was next day nudging me, my Mom wants to know when you’ll finish, There was No “How are you Feeling whatsoever “ Little did i know my daughter had called her those 2 days i slept asking her Is my Mom okay? She doesn’t answer her phone? Oh she is fine! But my daughter came to see for herself it wasn’t but 5 minutes there was that mother in law ringing the doorbell over and over. My daughter looked at me. This is nothing, it wasn’t until her manipulation was direct at My Family i had enough. Do you know When the Pandemic Covid first began and we were were told only to go out when necessary she would literally think of something to send her son out to the market or CVS. When i had confided in her telling her i thought her son was sick he needed to get checked out Her Response “He can’t Die On Me Now” Then she looked surprised she blurts out “I didn’t mean the way it sounded “ Over and over i told him this environment is Toxic I’m getting worse, what am i talking about and why did i tell my family what she did? I said why ? Your mother can blab all these lies to people yet I can’t tell the truth? Oh she’s better he said. Needless to say i packed 2 bags said i was having linch with my daughter and never looked back then i began to see the Evil, Manipulative things she would say and do and got so mad at myself for allowing it.

My NMIL tried to convince me to divorce my husband and brought up every mistake he’s ever made in his life. She offered to pay for all legal fees and for me and our 4yo to move in with her on the other side of the country. I told my husband the next morning because it felt so wrong since we are happily married and high school sweethearts. His mouth dropped and he told me that she made the same exact offer to him a few days earlier! This was all while she was staying in our house as a guest. We both think she wants us to break up so she could be in total control of our son. The “my house, my rules” trap where they lure you in by making it seem like free rent is an offer of charity. 15 months no contact! She hasn’t met 2 of our 3 kids.

My boyfriends mother would make snarky comments about me or against me in front of people and if i was upset or someone didnt agree with her then she would say its a joke and say you cant take a joke? She also would give me the death stare when me and my boyfriend left in different cars. She would wave and be happy with him and me while hes looking and as soon as i drove it away i was always behind him to follow him, she woukd cross her arms and stare at me like she wanted me dead. She is ao awful. She recently tried to break uo me and my boyfriend again, and 5 finally onto her and getting therapy. Thats the only reason me and him are still together. she found out i got him medicine for his bipolar and into therapy for it. She has been telling him i want my name on the deed to his house and only want him for money but i pay the majority of the bills and i make more than him and her put together!! What she doesnt know if he tried to put my name on his deed 4xs and i said no. What she said to him this time i wont even repeat bc its so awful. I will say it involves like insurance so i think you can figure it out. Shes been trying gor 4yrs to have him get rid of me and i just found that our as well. She has told his family something that makes them not want me atound at all anymore but i dont know what it is. What i do know is im not allowed at family functions anymore and they all used to love me until she did it. My boyfriend is the golden child and his sister his mother hates and dogs all the time as well. His sister was kind enough to tell him what she was doing and why im not allowed at the functions anymore. There is sooooo much more this woman has done. She treats my boyfriend like hes her husband and its really sick and gross. To the point yhat she tries her best to get him to stay the night with her and then proceeds to tell him he can just sleep in her bed with her so he can be more confortable. Thank god he doesnt do it but he will call me to come get him if his mom picked him up for dinner and then refuses to drive him home trying to get him to stay the night. I am always met with the death stare for that one too. Idk what else to do other than to never soeak to her again. If i put in the situation to ever be around her again i want to tell her off by telling her all the lies i know she is saying and call her out on what she is doing but i know she wont listen. At the least i can hurt her feelings and make her mad like she does me. My boyfriend has told her that she isnt allowed at our home and they are going to have a very distant relationship but im afraid shes going to get into his head and manipulate him again. She is very good at what she does. She always plays the victim and makes him feel sorry for her. She actually has the nerve to say what she said to me is what i told her and im lying!! I literally cant stand this women and sge is always negative and talks about everyone. She has literally said everyone at her work is trash and shes so much better. She says rhey are fat and tower over her and her words are heres little oh me they could squash me. She claims shes being stalked to get her son upset and make him stay around her more to protect her. She is pathetic and i wish she would find a new person to mess with. Its like a hobby to her. She loves the drama she loves to create a scene and shes even gone kn every date but the 1st one the 1st 2 yrs we were together and said shes rhe 3rd wheel making him feel bad for her. She wouldnt let.me sit by him. She would try to feed him from her plate and woukd beg him to give her a bite of hisnfood but only if he feeds it to her. She is disgusting and gross and has a weird obssession with her son.

10:27 you are so right! I'm glad I'm able to relate to these videos because it helps a lot. There's a lot of could say here, but the most recent thing was she knows I have an INTENSE fear of spiders. This is something she knows very well. Well right before Christmas she orders an extra "surprise" for my five year old son (her grandson) for Christmas. She told me it was coming in the mail and for me to open it. I open it and it's this GIANT realistic walking tarantula toy. My son has zero interest in bugs, and I am convinced that this "extra surprise" was meant for me. The moment I opened it I was extremely upset, and my husband was as well. He returned it and she was angry about it. He called her to explain the situation, even though she already knew, and just proceeded to get angry I'm not even apologize the way someone would if they didn't realize. But she knew because she was there a couple weeks prior when I had a freak out over a big spider in the house. It's stuff like this that's so mean and manipulative under the guise of a "gift ".

My ex-fiance's mother used to comment a lot about my appearance and sometimes I trully believe she saw me as a pretty, tall manekin that made her look better (look what a daughter in law I have!). Basicaly all she was saying about me was my look. I remember when my ex was choosing an apartment and I tried to add my opinions, my MIL said- but you are gonna to look like a catalog model here on that chair! I felt like an object honestly... And I have a question to all here. Because English is not my first language so maybe I misinterpretate sth or am too sensitive. Would you feel offended if someone would call you: next nomination? Because my first meeting with MIL looked this way- she told me what she didn't like about my ex's previous girlfriend and she said- "and now you are his next nomination"

I always knew my MIL was a b*tch, but it's only recently become apparent to me what a raging narc she is. 15 years of hindsight will do that for a person. First, she boycotted mine and my husband's wedding. We planned to go to the courthouse and wanted to be married on the day we had met (we knew each other only for 1 years, so it seemed natural to me that a mother might have some reservations.) When she heard the date we had chosen she said to my husband, "Your brother and I will be in Disneyland that day." Really a Tuesday? She didn't go out Disneyland or our wedding. She went to work. Years later I overheard her tell her sister that she had been upset with me because I didn't invite her to my wedding. In fact, her own mother who had been a wedding planner wanted to organize a Vegas wedding. That wasn't my first pick but I figured I could oblige the family if they wanted to be a part of it. I followed up with my to be MIL and she just said, "Oh yeah, that got cancelled." So I scrambled to get our courthouse date back. When we used to visit I would get upset because my husband would abandon me with her and go hang out in the room with his brothers. I only began to bond with her when I participated in b*tch sessions about her son, which over the years became easier to do for being routinely disappointed by him - but it was still toxic. I did not like her and we both avoided her as much as possible. Everything really came to a head during COVID, when she squatted in our house for over 3 years. We moved away from the area, she wanted to rent our house from us, to "help" us she said. But our mortgage was $1700+ and she only wanted to pay $1200. In order to get her help, against my wishes and better judgement, he let her move in. She paid the first months rent and subsequently began complaining about XYZ and making excuses for not paying the agreed upon rent. In order to get out from under the rock and a hard place financially, we wanted to help her acquire our home without having to pay the 20% down she didn't have. This required putting her on the title so that she could refinance and then get us removed from the title/mortgage. (It's a long story.) She never followed through with the loan/refinance but the company did file the docs for the title. So she then had legal ownership without any of the financial responsibility. I was pissed at her and my husband. She should have helped herself right off the title but of course, hindsight tells me that was never her goal. She forced us into our mortgage company's forbearance plan. When it came time to square up with the bank for 3 years back pay, we needed to sell the home fast. She demanded 100% of the sell of the house or she told she would sit in it and let it go into foreclosure. Hm...thanks for the "help." She also racked utilities in our name to over $6k. She absconded out of state with the money and not even a year later my brother in law is calling to tell us they are being evicted from the new place. They end up at a.sober living facility for a month or so before they are evicted (because she is drinking.) Through all this, the woman who has not dated as long as I've known her, begins dating again. A narc has to get her supply somewhere..since she doesn't get it from her kids anymore. She starts telling my husband she is getting married and she wants him and our daughter there, but not me. (Ha, yeah right.) The homeless, raging, alcoholic narc. She is getting a hefty dose of that "karma" she always talks about. But she's the victim. Her delusion and projection is off the charts..the funny thing is, she got exactly what she wanted. My husband served in the military. It's how he bought us our house. Before we had even gotten married, I went with him to the VA office (I was only 19 at the time. He 21.) She has asked him to use his VA benefit to buy her a house. I'm so glad that never came to fruition. At the time he was not my husband and I thought it was not my place, but once we were married I quickly drew some boundaries. She resented me. I got pregnant early 2020. And her behavior throughout my pregnancy had been egregious towards my husband. For my sanity and emotional well being I had to go no contact with her. She never came to see the baby. When we went to visit my family we would take the baby to visit her too. At the time, she could put on an act towards me at least. Now, in the rare moments that she reaches out to my husband she makes my daughter a point of contention, insisting she has some kind of right to be present in her life because she's "grandma." Um, no. Kiss my a** lady. We're done. Her son is finally done too. God help me brother in law. The other BIL has been wasting away in the streets for the last 10 years for all the trauma she caused him. It looks like she will share his fate. 🍨🍭🧁 🥄

Mine would come up and peer into our windows if we tried to have time without her. She had a stroke and it got a million times worse. My partner could no longer take care of her anymore when dementia set in. She couldn't hold her masks in place and started to unravel. She was hiding knives all over her house. We just put her in a alzheimer unit and I finally have my life back. She helped break us up years ago, so when we got back together I already knew and set boundaries, which made her crazier.

MIL wanted all her kids to visit her constantly. She used her injuries from an accident to try to do this. Right up until her dying day, she still accused myself and the son she ignored all of his childhood for not showing up enough for her. We both refused to be under her witchcraft and she hated it! We no longer have to deal with this and we are so relieved!! Great video!

This may sound perverse, but a secret in long-term after care, I've noticed, when dealing with the person with NPD, if you're obnoxious towards them any time you might unintentionally interact with them, if you're intentionally hurtful towards them and you keep them red-line pissed-off, it short circuits their process in that it prevents their internal hard drive from their usual catalytic conversion, keeping them stuck with viewing you as "all black," and it renders them incapable of re-idolizing you as being "all white" again when they seek to return to you and siphon your resources. This also serves to circumvent any future hoovering activity.
