Imagine a villain who's so consumed by the hunger for power that even death cannot derail him from this mission. And, even in the afterworld, he spends centuries wreaking havoc and fulfilling his desires through heinous crimes. Now, THAT is a force of deliberate and determined evil.

How To Write A Terrifying Villain - Puss in Boots

I haven’t used the phrase “shiver me timbers” in a long time-or ever, actually. But the personification of Death in Puss In Boots: The Last Wish calls for it. It’s not just his intimidating presence but the complex and layered motives that make him truly sadistic. Head over to Reddit, and you’ll find people still questioning whether he’s simply a force of nature or an actual villain. Copyright ...
How To Write A Vengeful Villain - Kung Fu Panda

When you think of Tai Lung from Kung Fu Panda, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? For me, it’s how brilliantly complex he is as a villain. His intense presence, terrifying aura, and raw power make him an unforgettable antagonist. But at the same time, he’s a relatable character with intricate motivations, a burden of expectations, and a story of betrayal… which is the reason he’s loved ...
How To Write A Realistic Villain - The Hunchback of Notre Dame
มุมมอง 202Kหลายเดือนก่อน
With The Hunchback of Notre Dame’s Judge Frollo, Disney broke so many of their own rules, and in my opinion they haven’t created such an accurately horrifying animated villain since. From the gut wrenching first scene, and that certain sin that Disney rarely acknowledges, to the realism and self-righteousness that we so often see in the people around us, Disney ripped Judge Frollo’s character f...
How To Write an A.I. Villain - Wall-E

There’s one type of villain whose one piercing red eye and inhuman voice keeps me up at night. They’re scarier than a scorned woman out for revenge, or a ruthless man who would do anything for power. They’re even more terrifying than villains that were simply born evil, and I think right now, with everything that’s happening with AI, is the perfect time to bring them up. Logical Villains might ...

Tai lung-? Lord shen - Hitler General Kai - Stalin
Kai treated like a joke by master shifu is definitely where his momentum fell. While I absolutely love humour in KFP3, Kai getting roasted by oogway, the five and Po doesn't help in elevating his villianism like that of Tai Lung. Had Kai's backstory got just some more context (or) made some atrocities similar to Shen, the third edition would have been much better.
I think that Puss’s devaluation of death makes Death more of an antihero than a villain. His abandonment of Puss’s death at the end highlights that he wants people to appreciate life
Kai's old design, literally a ghost
First of all, I thought Kai was a buffalo. And didn’t Po’s dad wear Master Flying Rhino’s armour?
Shen is, in my opinion, the best character in the whole franchise! His writing is tight and believable, his design is beautiful and haunting and Gary Oldmans acting is terrifying, emotional and only rarely funny. Hollywood should look back at villains like him to make them better. As an example, Deadpool & Wolverine is a good movie, but Cassandra Novas is a boring villain that is impossible to like or connect or even fear. She just IS! Any good villain need complex emotions, a conflict, potential redemption or at the very least should be terrifying and unpredictable, but not in a way that serves the plot, but in a way that serves their story-ark within the plot. Their actions and decisions drive the plot as well as the protagonists choices, but it is when both sides meet, that the villain and the hero both need to shine, both in their actions and in their development. Kung-Fu Panda 2 does this amazingly well with Po being an amazing protagonist and Shen being one of the best Antagonists EVER! Each of their encounters offers new information for us (the viewer), as well as gives hints to one another and themselves, drives the plot forward, increases our interest in how it will turn out or what other revelations may unfold, and ends in a cool and amazing final confrontation where both sides seem equally matched, but the wrong choice of one of them will dictate their final moments and validates our own thoughts and theories of how the story will end. THIS MOVIE IS A MASTERCLASS IN FILMMAKING!
you repeated a point a little too many times
Not just my favorite Dreamworks villain, but my second favorite fictional villain of all time, only behind Magalor. Darth Vader? Joker? Step aside
4:20 a duck and a rabbit, not a pair of duck, but a pair of a duck and a rabbit, maybe!
Jack Horner is better villain
I aM yOuR 666tH LIkE
I think that you have made a mistake. In the first part of the movie, when Kai was battling Oogway, he didn't have the chi of master crocodile and master storming ox at all. He gained their chi later along with mantis and crane. Also, I think that Kai wanted to erase all of Oogway's memories by taking the chi of all of his living students, not just to get powerful.😅
Bellweather was really good, and if you rewatch the movie there is many proofs it was not out of pocket, but pretty good planned. Not like Hans. Hans was a cold shower. Bellweather was fantastic and the whole message and vibe of Zootopia was one of the best movies of Trashney. Aside that, i agree on the rest you said.
will this masterpiece be turned to live action
You did not address Master Shibu said to Kia I will not let you destroy ohgway memories KIA said in retaliation why not he destroyed mine you forgot to explain the details about that
This film was fantastic. And THAT is how you write a villain
Still only the third best KFP villain. Amazing, but not nearly as good as Tai Lung or Shen.(blows the Chameleon out of the water)
"genocide" and "kung fu panda" being reasonably in the same sentence is just bizarre to me
I love how this movie has pretty much the 3 main types of villains. Goldilocks, the redeemable; Death, who's scary but mostly just doing his job; and Jack, the narcissistic and completely irredeemable monster.
I thought this was a gameranx "Before You Buy" video
Honestly I always enjoyed Kai. He had a simple motive but his unrelenting greed and dangerous presences made him a villain I enjoyed. Personally I’d say he’s the most powerful Ku g Fu Panda villain
Tai Lung and Shen were much better villains than he and the Chameleon.
I’d say all the first three villains are better than the Chameleon imo
Fun fact: Kai is Kai!
I like how you have used all of the 3 villens from kung fu panda lol
You really, really, REALLY liked to repeat yourself in this vid to stretch it out. MAde it pretty hard to listen to.
kia i a bit like drath nihilus if you thick about it
Kai is not nearly as interesting as Tai Lung and Shen, and I'm not a fan of his voice. But his design is great, and he is a really threatening villain. My main problem isn't that he's simple, I just wish there were a little more to him. I also wish they made less jokes about him.
Honestly I wish he had more screen time, and they fleshed out his backstory a lil bit more but honestly he’s my second favorite villain
how to write a tragic villain ? (i propose D16/megatron from transformers one)
Never thought he would appear on the channel
Sooo can we expect an episode about world's best dad Bondrewd?
Gotta stop calling these videos "how to" when the vid is a 22 minute summary of the movie.
i was JUST watching kun gfu panda 3
Kai is underrated and has one of the best theme songs and JK Simmons puts all his voice into his characterization! I wish they could explored more of his past/relationship with him and Oogway a bit. He may not be good as Shen or Tai Lung, but he is not as bad as some people portray him to be.
I personally like the take that the prophesy was about Shen destroying himself as it perfectly fits with his consistent self destructive tendencies. He's the one actively taking the path that will lead to his ruin. I like how it shows that in the end we are all ultimately the ones in charge of our own fates.
I always heard ppl sah the 3rd movie was disappointing, but i think at the very least. It had a pretty decent villian!
TRUE ! iT JUZT NEEDED MORE FLESH OUT & A DiFFERENT ENDiNG, SOME TALK NO JUTSU BETWEEN KAi &, OOGWAY, PO, MAY B EVEN SOME OTHERZ PROBABLY WOULD'VE WORKED GREAT HERE ! [NOT YELLiNG, JUZT LiKE TYPiNG iN CAPZ]
I think Kai should've won in the 3rd so there'd be a sequel where po can really shine after dealing with the lost. 4th movie would be about Po getting serious not being goofy, learning chi and raising up an army to stop Kai (The Jade Emperor) and then having some epic fight that would have to work with Po's Body, Mind, and Spirit all within unison inorder to beat Kai. And after all that? KUNG FU PANDA 5 BABY, new dragon warrior? Maybe? Idk
I think the reason why Kai became the way he is is because oogway was actually one evil bastard himself before. Then after the pandas saved his life he decided to put down his weapons and become a monk. Kai who only saw the “war version “ of oogway didn’t like the idea and thus felt betrayed
I like that theory. It makes more sense why Kai felt betrayed too.
"What is better - to be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?" -Paarthurnax I like your theory regarding Oogway because it has a similar ring to Paarthurnax's story.
Still doesn't explain his own lust for power
@@Kingofmenaces I don't think it's meant to, just why Kai has such a grudge against Oogway and the legacy he left behind
@@I.T.P Kai said himself that it was because Oogway betrayed him not because he changed or anything
What I love is that Kai's hunger for Chi is essentially an addiction. It doesn't matter if he exhausts the resource he needs to get Chi, he just needs it.
Maybe now an episode on how not to write a villain?😉🦎😂
Oh yeah baby, that’s what I’ve been waiting for yehee
He should make a video about how not to make a hero or how to make a hero, just a suggestion.
This guy is just kinda yapping. Get to the point bro
Shut the hell up dude, no one. LITERALLY NO ONE, is forcing you to watch the video. Don't like it? You are more, than welcome leave! Why do ppl like you think everyone gives a shit abt your gripes abt something? Just don't interact with it, it's not that hard. Oh I don't like this video, I'll simply go watch a different one joy sit here complaining abt it. Ffs.
Now that we have the three villains from the three movies from Kung Fu Panda I challenge this guy to make a video about the villain from the fourth movie, also congratulate for your videos, really good content of characters.
Ooh boy, that’s gon be a hard one 😂
I loved Tai Lung and Kai

Some talk of Alexander, and some of Hercules Of Hector and Lysander, and such great names as these But of all the world’s great heroes There’s none that can compare With a tow, row row row , row row row To the British GrenadiersNone of these ancient heroes ne’er saw a cannon ball Nor knew the force of powder to slay their foes withal But our brave boys do know it and banish all their fears Sing tow, row row row , row row row For the British Grenadiers When e’er we are commanded To storm the palisades Our leaders march with fuses, and we with hand grenades; We throw them from the glacis about the enemies’ ears Sing tow, row row row , row row row For the British GrenadiersAnd when the siege is over, We to the town repair The townsmen cry ‘Hurrah, boys, Here comes a Grenadier’ Here come the Grenadiers, my boys, Who know no doubts or fears Sing tow, row row row , row row row For the British GrenadiersSo let us fill a bumper, And drink a health to those Who carry caps and pouches, And wear the louped clouthes May they and their commanders Live happy all their years Sing tow, row row row , row row row For the British Grenadiers
In my Personal Opinion Kai in Kung Fu Panda 3 had Vast Amounts of Potential as a Main Villain I dare say that he could have been Much More Compelling as a Villain.
Fun Facts: Its a blink and you'll miss it moment, but Kai actually has Tai Lung on his chains, he's the only jade zombie he doesn't summon I've seen the theory of Kai's turning was because of his fear of losing Oogway, he felt too weak to keep him alive so he tried to get stronger (through questionable methods) to protect him, only for Oogway to "betray" him Kai's eyes glow green not because he's undead, its because of Jade, he made his blades out of Jade and his zombies jade because Chinese mythology believed that Jade had supernatural properties
Oogway too
4:19 Ah yes, two ducks.
3000-Year-Old Chinese Secret: Hidden Rabbit. The duck used Kung Fu to become a rabbit to cross train Rabbit-style martial arts better.
Redundantfridge9764: naaah, i just Think the narator did an oopsie! He meant a pair of a duck and a rabbit, where the duck squinted his eyes!
Even though Kai has never really been my favourite villain in the KFP quadrilogy, he is definetly a force to be reckoned with
Ignore the fourth one please.
