Kitchen counters for midgets, bedrooms are small (can you get two bedrooms with the same floor space of the three bedroom?) Not very impressed.
I'm in New York City andan apartment like this would go for around $4000 a month.
Yeah just about the same as Sydney where I was before hey. So much more cheaper here all round! Its the best haha Move to Japan buddy!
He’s super cute
Haha thanks mate!
Great tour. Will be following.😊
Thanks mate! Hope you’re enjoying the videos so far - appreciate the following 🙋🏽♂️🇯🇵
Wow exciting news! I have been thinking of the same thing in Nagoya :) unsure of the costs involved, it would be great to know your story so far :) love your videos so creative and interesting.
Thanks so much mate - really appreciate you watching 🙋🏽♂️ I’ve done a couple videos called ‘Ask me Anything’ where people have asked those questions, feel free to check them out and drop any additional questions you have below and I can try to answer best I can if that helps! Thanks again for the kind words buddy and hope to hear from you again soon 👍🏽🇯🇵
Congratulations brother Form seven eleven store 🏪
Hey legend! Good to hear from you - thanks so much for subbing. Appreciate it 🙋🏽♂️🇯🇵
Going to school there?
I was mate, but then I chose to leave as learning in a classroom isn’t the best way for me to learn! Great school I was going to though 👍🏽
You return to Japan brother.
Did I return to Japan? I live here now legend, never left haha but this is a great giveaway for people wanting to come here! Hope you get involved 🙋🏽♂️🇯🇵
What place or city you live ???
I live Fukuoka here in Japan! 🇯🇵 Such a great city to be based from. People here are awesome and so helpful!
i have been thinking about doing this kind of thing myself but i wouldnt know how much i would need to do the year course with a studen visa
That’s great mate - I definitely encourage you to look into it! As for money, it really depends on lifestyle really and how comfortable you want to be. The main two things are money for school and accommodation. Both you can request a quotes by emailing schools. Then its just food and spending money which I worked out roughly a daily budget, by how many days I’d be here. Bit of planning and calculating!
Hi, may I know the name of your Japanese school in Fukuoka and if you recommend it? I plan to study Japanese in Kyushu too, looking forward to your response 😊
Hey mate - yeah of course. I was attending GenkiJacs in Fukuoka. And I absolutely recommend it! They tend to be all around the same price but GenkiJacs was on the more expensive of the schools though. Though in my opinion and what I know now, its worth it. It’s really supportive on all fronts and the teachers are very kind. It’s intense learning like all school but there they focus on speaking first which was more my focus. Other schools I’ve heard focus more on passing the JLPT which is more written and listening so you leave not having much speaking practice. Important to email and ask schools questions before applying if you are interested in learning anywhere! Hope that helps mate🙋🏽♂️🇯🇵
@hangswithchristian Thanks, very kind of you!
No worries at all and best of luck!
hat off inside ...
My house, my rules! Sorry buddy haha
Hello, Thanks for taking the time and doing this video. If a person is wheelchair bound or handicap, there is not much accommodation?
Thank you so much for tuning in mate. That’s a great question. Im not too knowledgeable on this one though I have definitely seen wheelchair accessible properties around many places. They will include, ramps and lifts which is great. But I wouldn’t say they are common in older buildings. Maybe more newer buildings built within the past 20 years or so. I hope that helps!
I quite fortuitously discovered your channel. There are heaps of wacky things in Japan like drinkable mayo (that is sick....). Get a hair trim! No-one will trust a long haired freak, especially in Japan.
Would love to see a video where you only speak Japanese!
Haha thanks mate, maybe in the…far future 🤣 I’m still a bit rusty! I use it everyday but its a slow progress that I’m enjoying 🙋🏽♂️🇯🇵 Hope your studies are going well mate!
It’s definitely a bang for you buck. Here in NYC that would cost $2,000 or more and you’d still have to pay for other services
You’re absolutely right, NYC is a whole different ball game when it comes to rent! I was previously living in Sydney which are almost on par with prices in New York City. It feels like everything here is so much cheaper, I’m super fortunate!
Having only one toilet kills it for me especially if you have a partner or a family
Yeah I’m exactly the same. Though it’s so common in Japanese houses. I need two bathrooms if its a family house.
@@hangswithchristianto be fair, it’s mostly because I’m a 15-20 deucer so it’s not fair to the rest of the fam
@ hahah fair call
Do you make videos of houses in Osaka?
Nah I don’t yet unfortunately! Just Fukuoka for the moment but I’ll be working on doing more property videos this year so who knows where it will take me 🙋🏽♂️
@hangswithchristian looking forward to it
I am in love with your bedroom
It was such a great space for one person, loved this apartment! I miss it!
On the topic of Google Lens, I've visited Japan this year, and I've found that Chat GPT is very useful, because unlike Google Lens, you can ask it questions and it understands the context. Also, the new Advanced Voice Mode with a Video Mode is quite useful for getting around. Give it a try, maybe you can do a video on uses with it you figure out along the way.
Yeah, I’ve been using ChatGPT for awhile so my only issue with it has such limited request you can use for every few hours. The last time I was on the paid version it was only 80 requests during a translation conversation every few hours. So that’s 40 request per person. I’m really looking forward to the future in what all this AI technology brings for translation! Breaking down language barriers will connect the world in such a different way. It’s exciting!
Got to say, that sleeping room is nice and cozy 👍
Super nice hey! I moved on from there now to a bigger place but miss that spot. Appreciate you tuning in buddy 🇯🇵🙋🏽♂️
Yay Cinema! I'm regularly watching 3, 4 or (occasionally) FIVE films in a sitting, but I'm paying about UKP 11.25 per month, getting my money's worth, but they have a number of indie films regularly that show for just a single week. I saw Moana 2 in 3D in the opening week, and I know the weekend was busy, but I went on the Monday when kids would be back in school, and had the room to myself! 😬 Tapping the app in the station - there's not a chance we'd get something like that which doesn't have big doors to stop you going through without paying. So much more honesty and good behaviour in Japan that should be replicated elsewhere!
Haha OMG that is soo many films in one sitting! And how good is having the cinema to yourself. That’s why I always go first thing in the morning and I always find that it’s completely empty. I love it! Yeah, and also the trust here is insane. I also love that I can go to a cafe and drop my bag on the table and then go and order my coffee next so I know I have a seat for when my coffee is ready. You just don’t get that back home.
@@hangswithchristian It can certainly be great to see a film all to myself, although once or twice, a film's been really good and I'm also thinking at the same time, "It's a shame other people aren't watching this". However, not for Moana 2, though, as I know it was rammed the day before, in there 😁
A belated Merry Christmas, rock star😊!
Ayy thank you mate! Merry Christmas back to ya legend 🎄🙋🏽♂️
Yo! Bernardo!!! I know him. Wtf, small world. As soon as you said the name I was like what are the odds
Haha oh yeah? Do you know his channel or him personally? We both went to the same language school when we first moved here and found we both started TH-cam haha
We were working with the same online Japanese teacher, so I've interacted with him in some classes and message threads
Oh wow! Small world buddy. Just had lunch with him the other day haha
Would be nice if you interviewed foreigners that were studying an undergraduate degree an ask them how hard was the admissions for the universities that they chose.
Yeah I’m hoping in the future to interview more students about the experience doing university here. Stay tuned bud and I’ll see what I can come up with in the new year 🙋🏽♂️🇯🇵
Man its liberating to see people in their 30's chasing this dream.
Never too old or young to chase your dreams legend. Age really is just a number!
nice video! Lovely apartment. And quite cheap, as well! greetings from a new subscriber from Córdoba, Argentina.
Hey mate thanks so much for subbing - appreciate it mate! Yeah this place was so great, I miss it. I've actually moved on from this place and moved to a bigger unit with my family. I made a video on that one also if you are interested - th-cam.com/video/mhTiLXsOAo8/w-d-xo.html Hope to hear from you again bud! 🙋🏽♂️
That’s a fantastic apartment!
Not bad hey! I've actually moved on now from this place but I miss it so much. Though I made a video on my new place also - th-cam.com/video/mhTiLXsOAo8/w-d-xo.html it's so cheap renting in Japan!
it is really a lovely apartment - i like it very much - except one gas ring/no oven would not be enough for me as i love to cook - otherwise excellent and very reasonable price.
haha yeah your are right, the kitchen is very small and you never have ovens in Japan actually. It's very rare. If I owned this place, I've definitely renovate the kitchen but the rest was actually great! Thanks for watching mate!
I wanna win this. It would be the best gift ever
I hope you went in the draw for the giveaway mate! wishing you the best of luck!
These places are amazing ❤
Thanks so much mate! It was alot of fun even though it was raining haha
Christian, thank you for showing your amazing place! I think it's a steal for a 3 bedroom! I'm from the US. I'm interested to have a 3-months stay in Fukuoka. What do you recommend for low-cost living options? I'm going to be traveling solo by myself.
Hey mate - I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching. It's definitely alot cheaper for me rather than Australia where I was living previously. So before moving here I travelled around Japan on a 3 month trip and one of those months I came and stayed in Fukuoka. I found the easiest way was finding an Airbnb that gave discount for renting out a place for a month. Put in your dates for the months you will be here and they might show larger discounts. Though, you definitely won't be finding places like mine and this price for short term stays! But that was the best low cost living I found when travelling here. I hope that helps bud!
@ thanks so much for the tips! I’ll follow your advice and plan some trips to Japan next year. Hey, curious what u like to do on your channel? Is it covering rentals in Fukuoka area?
Absolutely mate - best of luck travelling around! I can’t wait to start doing more next year. As far as much channel, I’ve only really started fulltime on it since April so right now its more about my life here living in Japan and sharing my experiences or opportunities I’ve been fortunate to be given 🙋🏽♂️🇯🇵
