The rear subframe is only 5.5 kilos something. Mine broke and had to be replaced.

I had to replace my rear subframe because the back end broke on both sides.

The coolant reservoir needs more transparency.

well I'm kinda sad that they discontinued vmax because I'm planning it to be my last bike

From the looks of cost and a few other things. I should have gotten a vmax vs my harley ultra limited. The vmax has the power I would prefer, does not have the storage I use and love. But is not even 1/2 the cost of my bike.

I totally agree with you I have a 2014 Vmax matte gray color with four pipes original exhaust it’s the only way it looks so cool

I use a amsoil metric in my v-star 1300 and would like it in my 2016 v-max. Anyone use this in a max?

Going on a tour with this glider will be a nightmare of visiting every gas station on the way! LOL! I once saw it was possible to install a 25 liter tank on them! That might help a bit! Other than that, I guess it must be fun to just roam around locally and burn asphalt!!😄

You have very informative videos but I have one question for you. Did you buy the bike like everybody else that buys the bike because of the muscle and actually use the muscle? You don't seem like someone that would write it like me. Once in a while you have to ride it like you stole it. I have a 2016 VMAX with a gurued gear ECU flash. I thought it was evil before and now it's a monster.

I wish I could find one in silver.......I used to have a black on black Gen 2 and I had this but also the rack....the rack turned out to be invaluable.....Now I own a 2010 but the silver ones are long gone. I may have to strip the black powder coat and convert it to silver.

I had a 09 with all the goodies. Fun bike. The bad was, top heavy and the steering just wants to flop over to full lock. It also didn't ride that well.

Love your Vmax shows. I have the 2014 model and had the restrictions removed from the ECU. Yamaha restricts the electronic throttle to 25% at 9,000 RPM = 100HP. Moore Mafia re-flashed the ECU, that extra 100HP spins the rear wheel in all gears, anytime you want, just roll on the throttle. Highly recommended mod. Kept the stock exhaust & Cat.

I'm an ST1300 rider but I had a VMax around 2000. I'm in the market for one now, keeping an eye on Facebook Marketplace and BikeTrader. Any other places I should look? Anyone ready to sell? I'm in southern California.

Hi. Just wondering if you ever had an issue with the digital speedometer staying blank and also no back light working around the tachometer. I have one of these in my work shop from a customer who bought a brand new speedo/tacho and still same result so im thinking must be in the wiring harness possibly a broke wire. Just thought ide ask in case you ever had the same issue over the years.

I'll be happy to answer that question because it's f****** awesome. I think the price has a lot to do with lack of sales as well it's a very expensive motorcycle.

Spending 18000 USD for a bike, and then the putting some shitty cheap oil into the engine to SAVE (???) money is kinda not very smart decision.

Thank you for sharing all of your vmax wisdom. I’m new to the vmax, I just got your same bike and have similar mindset to you. I need your help. The link to these sliders is no longer valid. There are $40 ones on eBay and $250 ones online. Are the eBay ones okay enough to use? Amd some just say fits P09-18, but 2020 is the same as 18 right?

My decat/exhaust, tuned mt10 also gets in the low 20's mpg when I'm doing crazy fast pulls. I'm talking deep into triple digits but that's what big displacement bikes are about. I'm 63😅

I live near Chicago and I have a 09 Max and I use Amsoil 10W-40 motorcycle full synthetic oil. I only change it once a year. But where I live it is only seasonal riding. Amsoil motorcycle oil is designed to be used with wet clutches.

Had an 04'. I would buy a 2020 VMAX because it's the baddest-ass bike on the planet. Love the murdered-out look. Do you still have it? Did you like the bike?

A Beautiful unbutchered VMAX. I'm keeping mine the same. As for power it has all the power I ever need completely stock and I don't even use it. I have not been past 5000rpm on my VMAX.

Harley has their own public as it is a different type of bike or you love it or not. I agree when Jeff says the tariffs will only hurt customers. I would never buy a Harley, you pay more for the name and tradition

If you want to save money, or don't want to wait on the tool. You can use a 5/8" Bolt, and two 5/8" nuts. The head of the bolt, and OD of the nuts is 24mm. Use one of the nuts as a jam nut.

I wouldn't tell you what to do, also someone shouldn't be a hypocrite. Can't get a different bike if it's already the top bike. It's lowered. I flashed my ECU, put on cross pipe exhaust, now pushing 197hp. also put on end of handlebar mirrors, and can see more behind me, than I could with the OEM mirrors. I like the looks of your bike, and wouldn't tell you to change a thing, but if I want to modify mine don't tell me not to.

If I put these on my bike I would be worried that my tires would lose air in a remote location from air pump access. If you suddenly lose air pressure in a tire while riding it can be a problem.

I got ahold of a 2020 VMAX with only 18 miles on it. The owner was afraid to ride it because it was too much power for him. Buyers remorse became my new bike.

Vmax 1200 I owned did also clunck at warm start and my xvz1200 venture does the same. I think compression raises on warm engine. Seats on all Vmax are hard. Thanks for video. V4 Max is wonderful!
