It's been awhile. It's good to see you Jeff. I hope you're doing good my friend. Well, for me I couldn't get the bike that I wanted since my accident a year, and half ago that is the MT09, but I did get a bike. coincidentlly I got the same brand and some what model from my last bike. Honda CB500F a little older and bigger than the last one CB300F. I"m happy with it. Maybe someday I will get my dream bike. With the predicament I'm in which I had to stop saving for my dream bike. I couldn't wait another two years to start back in saving so I just decided to go ahead and get the bike that I can afford. I just didn't want to miss out in riding to long. Plus stopping my leeching off from my type off job was hurting my wife. Couldn't make enough for the bills. That's why I had to stop saving. Now that I have it's been better for her, and I didn't mind giving what I had save up for my wife. She said I could just go ahead and get what I can, and enjoy riding. Of course she don't want to join in anymore cuz she's still freak out seeing me in the hospital with my skin scraped off from the road. For me though I have healed up like 90% shoilder still soar everything else is healed up. I miss picking the scab though. The bike I got is pretty cool. It have 13k miles, but almost everything on it was new. I got new tired front, and back. New break pads front and back, new chain, and sprockets. New custom re levers. A rack system with a nich lock and key box, and a wind sheild that don't really do nothing really but looks good on my cb500f. Even though a little bump in power. I still love the bike till I have some money, and than I will head to the dealership and get my new MT09. That's later in the future, but not to late where I can't ride anymore cuz of old age. Out of all that I do love my new/used bike. I even change my circle bubble profile to it. One things for sure. I'm not going to use it my new/used bike for work like I did with my old cb300f. This one is only for my personal enjoyment, and food run for me even with the heat like this and yesterday in Mobile. It was freaking hot! Yesterday I roade over the BAy to Daphne to go to Halls Motorsport for something. Coming back in the afternoon being 102 the road was scorching my leg. (I was wearing shorts, and tank tops okay) There was no cool breeze what's so ever! HOt Hot HOt!

My Shorai lasted about 5 years....back to a Yuasa....if you start and warm your bike up once a week when in the off season you don't need any tender....a few revs above 3k and let settle.
If your battery is about to die and you keep at it you will need to replace the solenoid switch too on the left side of the battery. Keep this in mind. A down battery screws up the solenoid switch that is actually the starter switch. Ok.
Ride cool. 40k plus now on my 2013. Easy cool..full power..Nash Flash.
    Thanks Jeff.

First off I want to send you and your loved ones my condolences.
Now, in regards to the lithium battery, it had the same effect on my 2000 V-MAX 1200 when I installed it about two years ago. The starter spins like it’s on steroids, and the bike fires up almost instantly, even when cold.
I also own a 2020 VMAX 1700 who’s battery is starting to show the faintest hint of sluggishness when cranking over that monster of an engine. So I’ll be replacing it in the near future. So good timing on your review.
    Thanks.

Good to see you back. I haven't changed my batteries yet and by dealer informed me that most motorcycle batteries can last 5-7 years. Ride Safe!

I've been using a lithium-iron battery for the last past 11 years. And it's still going strong. I never had to use a maintainer or charger for it. Doesn't need it.

Hello. I am looking for a bike and want shaft drive or belt drive. What about the valve adjustment intervals? Harleys have hydraulic valves, no adjustment, and belt drive. Why did you not look at those? Just curious..gathering information. In Texas btw.

Hi Jay. The year started off great. In fact, you can see part of why in my garage in this video. I will try and get out some videos on that new purchase within the next couple of months. Unfortunately, just a few weeks after that purchase my 29-year old daughter died. That has been quite the blow to say the least. I’m just now trying to get back to doing the things I enjoy doing.

@@JeffMarcum I am so sorry to hear that Jeff. I was wondering if all is well with you. I dont think any parent should go through this, but I really hope you find strength and patience. I do hope you'll meet her on the other side. Keep your spirits high my friend, we all gotta move on. Thanks for the video.

@@JeffMarcum Jeff, I am so very sorry to hear about your daughter, this must be the most devastating thing that can happen to a parent. After all my research of NDE's I can assure you she is in a very happy place and you for sure will see her again, I wish you and your family the best during this trying time.

@@JeffMarcum As to the new purchase, I could not see a hint in the garage and I tried hard,,maybe a GW? I did see the pretty car, but I doubt that is it :).

Don’t use a tender with that battery. Lithium shouldn’t need charging unless you have a parasitic draw then you may have to charge it every so often but even then I would never use a battery maintainer on any lithium battery. Full charge does nothing but shorten the life of the cells.

Thanks for your advice. My battery is stonedead. I have six bikes. My advice is: stick to japanese brands when we are talking bikes. Drive carefully. Peter, Höör, Sweden
