Your game seems quite dark. Have you adjusted the resolution and full screen settings? I resolved this issue by running the game in borderless mode and then switching to full screen again.

TS3 is so superior glitches or not, I mean TS4 has literal GAME BREAKING errors too, and sometimes worse than TS3. TS4 is literally soulless and I can play 15 minutes max without becoming, IDK WHAT THE EMOTION IS, because "bored" is not strong enough of a word to use for the feeling. It is like it drains my energy, physically and mentally.

Albeit the easiest game to do this kind of challenge in, I also think it's the most interesting one. It involves less grinding, and you have several different ways to go about making the buck. And with the open world, you can practically roleplay as a hobo. Certainly more fun that way, in my opinion.

One of my favorite ways to play The Sims is what I call "commune gameplay" where I get anywhere from 4 to 8 (usually-unrelated) Sims and don't let them get any careers. Every in-game night I look away and mash spacebar to randomize who I will have to play with for the day. So I have to train them all to be able to make money and contribute in some way. The way I play is not quite rags-to-riches but I start them on the largest lot, empty except for a very barebones shared living space, cheating money if necessary but always starting with low funds after building, with the goal of eventually giving each of them a "house" of their own on the same lot. Usually aging off. Usually works best in 3 or 4 due to the abundance of skills and independent money-making methods. It can lead to some emergent situations if, for example, you keep rolling to play your gardener while low on funds in the middle of winter. The downside being that those are both generally much easier than 2.

Sims 2 is unbelievable. The control system, motives, desires, everything is so smart and practical. The ONLY problem for me is spending a night out and then go back to the house lot, and the clock being set back to the time when you left, so you spend the same night again but at home... Breaks the immersion. But it's the only annoyance, at least for me 🥺

That was fun! I love Rags to Riches stories. I wonder how it would go for a Rags to Riches challenge with a married couple, 2 teens, 4 children. Having 2 kids and 2 toddlers instead of 4 kids would be insanity inducing. Or a single parent, teen, and child.

Fun fact: If you remove all townies your sim Will not be able to adopt a baby, because a adoptable baby is made from the genetics of two random random townies of the opposite sex.i learned this with marticore

Lol, I remember back then I used to play rags to riches with a single teenage dude. And it is surprisingly easy. Just level up any instrument skill (I used a guitar since I... was a guitarist then, so yeah) and spam any single composition over and over again (you can just cancel the action as soon as the animation starts, it is still registered), then go to a subway station (or use cheat if there aren't any) play for tips there and enjoy being a millionaire in just a few days after you start the game :D. Too bad I couldn't find a similar way in Sims 4. The best I could find is Copypasto a perfect dragonfruit, and sell it from your household inventory (by pressing a backspace on the plant, the plan and the fruits will separate automatically).

Cuando yo he iniciado en ceros siempre lo pongo a cavar para encontrar un tesoro porque sí es de que la única manera, se me hace muy complicado usar trucos así que suelo comprar un objeto muy caro metérmelo al inventario y regalarlo a un random y el poco dinero que me quede lo gasto en hacer montañas u hoyos y aplanar todo el suelo hasta quedarme en cero. Me dieron ganas jugar T.T
