♥ WELCOME ♥
My name is Therese - or Reese - and I upload content of interesting (at least to me) and funny details of game content, animation and story-line. I also do voiced-over tours of gameplay and the game's hidden gems.
I'm still going strong playing the sims 2 in 2024, that I've played since it came out in 2004 (and The Sims before that). I don't use customized content or mods - enjoy the pure and simple game just as it is 😉 🌟

Reese, this video is so much better than my suggestion. The way you review each song... damn, if you are not a musician you really deceived me well. You said a lot of things about the songs that makes sense! my 3 favorites are 5:10 (this one hits hard) 7:12 8:14 2 details: 7:30 your backing vocal was really good actually 8:52 the way you spoke with so much passion about this song, reminded me immediately a song from Daft Punk called Giorgio by Moroder. Amazing video Reese, congrats!! ☺
I’m so excited for the freetime pack cause They Might Be Giants cooked so damn hard Edit: I’m also surprised you don’t know who Mark Mothersbaugh is, he was the DEVO guy and he did a lot of other stuff too
I've had Cherry Cha Cha as my ringtone for over a year xD
I LOVE IT! Recently?✨✨✨
Perfect. Just what I needed.
At your service!😉
i would literally put all of them in simphony 😭 its too good except for the loading one bahaha i never knew a lot of the best sims 2 songs were from uni life !?
Wait until I get to Nightlife - that pack was ON! ✨ ✨
I don't think I had heard the Uni loading screen music before. Wow, I'm glad my game doesn't play it. It's so annoying. FWIW, the college rock radio station from Uni is so good that I've added some songs to my music playlist.
I'm looking so much forward to the radio stations for exacly that reason! The radio stations are SO good ✨
I wish my Sim could jump and flash her boobs to her partner like on The Sims 2 trailer😂 that would be fun
Haha yes 😂 I wonder if they cut that option out sometime during development. Some executive probably looked at it and said plainly: No.
I suppose it's just me, but I can't stand how the sims look in Sims 3 and 4 so I just can't into those games at all even though I gave a try. The Sims 2 cuddles are my favorite. I was getting freaked out by Gunther constantly looking up at me in the Sims 1 part! LOL
I also dislike the way the sims 3-simmes look. They are so stiff and liveless that it's a bit unsettling 🙃 Haha I felt the same way about Günther! Like why would he do that? Did he like that I was looking? 😂
Sims 2 definitely has the most comforting graphics. Sims 3 takes getting used to and sims 4 is like dolls.
Yeah it’s something about how the lighting strikes Sims, specially on 3. In Sims 4 it’s way better but still, they look kinda off out of CAS. And the body mesh and posture for the sims were also awful on 3, 2 & 4 looked wayy more natural
It's true that it's something about the ligtning. Because I also think that the sims 4 looks like dolls, and I think it's because they're almosy shiny in the light. It make them look somewhat like plastic.
Might probably say that my most beloved tracks were released later in EPs but anyway Makeover is probably not even 5, it's pure 6.
My all time favourites are also in the later packs, and I'm looking so much forward to rating them - Nightlife especially
They are called "playing" in Sims 1, my innocence was forever changed since I learnt what it meant lol. Interestingly there were a lot more woohoo places that I remember in the Sims 1... Fun times though.
Haha same, The Sims was definitely good times!😊
Honestly all of the Sims 2 base game is top tier. No way I could rank them fairly. Salsa is annoyingly good ahahah
The salsa tracks are my favourites, so I won’t be able to rank them unbiased when I reach the radio station music tracks 😂🙏🏻
I would not mind if you ranked a lot of them an S tier just because of these soundtracks aged nicely. It's probably nostalgia but I just love the simplicity and upbeat rhythm some of these had. Not many soundtracks in the Sims 3 can compare to this. I felt a little annoyed with Sim heartbeat and while it does feel like construction music it has a tense drum beating that I don't really vibe with especially when I have to build from scratch
Agree! A lot of them are definitly S tier, but I tried to compare them relatively to each other, so it would do to just top rank them all 😂😂
I am playing sims 2 now. I love it so much, it´s simply timeless!
It really is! Aged like fine wine. Which pack is your favourite?
@Reese-sim University!
It's SO good! Must be my second favourite after Open for business 🙏
@@Reese-sim same!
makeover is my favorite!
Truly a legendary track! I love it too 😊
I didn't know that there was a credit song for the Sims 2!
Me neither! Did you like it?
@@Reese-sim If I have to be honest, not much xD but I wonder if it's partially due to me not having heard the song a gazillion times
@ Haha I thought the same thing. If there is no nostalgic element it's just odd 😂
Honestly, all Sims 2 music is just tied to mental breakdowns for me at this point-got the playlist on repeat every time I do anything work related haha Loved this idea and can’t wait for the Nightlife pack review (it’s my jaaaam)!
Nightlife is my favourite too! And omg that's unfortunate, but I've kind of done the same for myself with the Sims 1 music. But if I leave it off work for about a year it's back to 'simphony' 😂
Oh HECK yeah, can't wait to watch this. Sims music is such an important thing to me. Would you ever consider doing it for Sims 1 OST? 👀
Absolutely! I plan on doing the Sims 2 tracks, and then afterwards the Sims 1. My heart melts for the Sims 1 music!
THE CATS 😂 this was hilarious! Great video and channel btw
Just casually ripping everything apart (very realistic tbh) 😂 Thank you so much!
Pizza in Sims 2 is the best, hands down!
Agreed! ✋ *high five-ing the hands down*
I loved your video! The Sims 2 is certainly the best in the franchise, in my opinion. The richness of the details, even though it's an old game, is something admirable. I'll keep following you and also take the opportunity to practice my English. Greetings from Brazil!
Thank you so much! 😊 Greetings from Denmark
Commenting to hype up your numbers, gonna watch the video later! I enjoy your content a lot lately, it's nice to see someone playing the older games :)
Thank you SO MUCH! I really appreciate it 😊🙏
Love the green!
That’s what I was thinking
That's her new year's dress then 😍
💪😍
I have no idea how your video got to my youtube main but I'm glad it did! It's a novelty seeing someone play this irrationaly hard game XDDDD I have no balls doing it myself, so I'll happily stay to watch you do it 😂😂
Haha welcome to my channel! 😂😊
I love The Sims 1, it's like a piece of interactive art. It is not at all, however, an easy game. I dont know how 7 year old me managed, I guess by not caring as much and taking things as they come 😅 I've always wanted to see what the Magic Town houses looked like, but could never collect enough magic coins. Kudos for making it to level 10 logic
Thank you! As far as I remember, you can create a family IN magic-town and move them into one of the houses using simoleons. At least I think I did so as a kid once 😊
I feel like when I played this a looong time ago, I never used the fast-forward. Granted, I only played story mode with one sim, but the sims in Sims 1 are so. darn. picky.
They really are! And their needs drop SO quickly! 🙃
7:45 save the game then delete the sim, they’ll keep all gained skills and objects
Thank you! 🙏
Why is TH-cam tagging this game as SIms 2 UC? It's clearly not! lol.....Sims 1 is difficult as heck 😆
It's probably on me. I might have tagged it wrong 😊
"Cassandra's gone, is it a big loss, no" 😆😆If you save the game before you delete the sim, they will keep their skill points 😁
I figured it out MUCH later 😂🙃 Thank you for commenting!
I love your videos!!
Thank you SO much! 😍🙏🙏
in some scenes sims didnt have shadows and in the last one the pool didnt have reflections 😮
Good catch!
I remembered my childhood.
It's so nostalgic!
Couldn't move the cursor huh
🙃😳
I’m sure this is exactly how the developers planned for their love story to play out lol
Hahaha with lot's of drama definitely!
This is an interesting case, I still play this game on a daily basis but yet this intro always makes the nostalgia hit me hard anyway... It's just so iconic
Same - the music itself gives nostalgic excitement
I love the animations in this game and how expressive they are for each specific action. A game made to simply be good fun.
Exacly, they really were showing off with this intro!
This maybe the best intro ever! Or one of the best? 1994 born and Sims player this song gives only good vibes!❤❤💖💖 Btw... I found in Facebook this intro in play with piano! Wow! And now only that piano version of this intro its now my phone call song!💖💖❤❤
Agree! I love that it's your ring tone 🙏 ♥
Sims 2 Open for Business was PEAK sims 2! Still the best system for owning and building businesses, and it felt so good seeing your business grow! It is also the only pack that wants you to leave the lot often that I really like. I don't really like switching lots a lot in sims 2, loading screens get repetitive and there isn't much you can do that you can't just do at home, and your sims can't do really do anything except socialize. OfB changed that since you got talent badges (and skills on owned lots) on community lots now. Loved University and Seasons! University did the thing where they let time move forward on community lots, and let you keep level up skills on their community lots. Why wasn't that implemented into the rest of the game?! I have always loved seasons, in any sims game. And the fishing and gardening badges were nice additions. I loved that if you have homegrown fruits and vegetables in the fridge the meals filled your hunger bar more, and I also believe this pack introduced the concept of saving leftovers(?), which was a big deal. Apartments are too small for me, I like building out as my sims progress, eventually making big houses where I can learn all skills easily and have lots of different things to do, can't really do that in an apartment. AND the constant noisy neighbors waking my sims up all the time got old really fast! I despise Bon Voyage!!! After one day on vacation I got bored, there is nothing to do except collect stickers, and the only "difficult" thing about collecting them is finding out what they are. I will always love the concept of pets, but none of the sims games has really captured it for me. My biggest complaint with the sims 2 pets is that they would ALWAYS fight/hiss other pets autonomously, no matter what their personality was. It made it so difficult to have pets be friends and/or breed. And you can't cuddle with pets on the bed or sofa. Teaching them different tricks was cool, though. FreeTime had some cool ideas, but ended up just making the game too easy for me, especially with the slower need decay, knowledge sims easily gaining bonus skill points, popularity sims gaining friends more easily etc. And you couldn't really control what they were interested in, so they most often got a lifetime wish that didn't really satisfy their hobby interest! And while that might be how a lot of real people end up with jobs that don't rely on their hobbies, I think most people would love if they could do their hobby for a living, and that's why it doesn't work for me! The white glow and sound effect also got annoying really quickly! Didn't care about stuff packs growing up, and still kinda don't. Doesn't really change the gameplay most of the time, just the look of the game, which I am satisfied with already! Always fun to see and read other peoples perspective!
Thank you SO MUCH for your comments! It's so interesting to hear other people's view, and I really see your points. I do like the stuff-packs though because I really enjoy building, so new stuff is great for a more detailed look.
World Adventures is such an underrated pack! I can’t wait for you to explore Egypt because the pyramids are very elaborate and it’s always been my favorite. By the way, the fan and bird patterns you like are in the “themed” panel and make for cute bedding, lampshades, and curtains if you’d like to use them in builds but still prefer a white, minimalist look.
Egypt is coming soon! It's become my favourite destination too, exacly because it's been so elaborately done. Good tip about the pattern - I already imagine a study or bedroom themed with this. Thank you!
Small tip when building in Sims 3: If you hold the alt-key while moving a peace of furniture it will not snap to the grid, but move smoothly, which gives you better control of placement. It also allows you to rotate an object 360 degrees. This can be really useful for decoration objects, TVs and stereos especially, since they often can snap poorly to the grid! For example, my favorite stereo is one of the slim, expensive ones, and when placed on the grid it stays quite far away from the wall. By holding the alt-key, I can move it closer to the wall. Also, if you find the game too dark, there are some mods out there that might be able to help. It isn't that dark in my game, so maybe your settings are set higher than what your computer is able to handle, and it compensates by making it darker. Don't know, I'm not a tech-guy... Nice video and build! First video I watched, and I might look at some more :D
Thank you so much for the tips and the comment! Pressing Alt is definitely noted 😊
4 by 5 is a good size for a small bedroom that fits a double bed.
Thank you! 💪 Will keep that in mind for my next build
Building used to be my least favorite part of this game but now I do it the most: It just takes a while to get used to. If you hold down shift when dragging color panels to walls/fences it’ll recolor the whole wall instead of one tile. Same goes for placing an object, holding shift will give you an endless supply (which happens automatically with counters and such but is helpful with other objects too). I just learned this after over a decade and it’s a life saver. I like the style you went for and can’t wait to see how you improve it and incorporate other packs once you have them!
Thank you so much! And thanks for the tip about holding the shift key 💪 😊
Sims 2 is an easy win, but my channel is named after the sims 3 pizza delivery guy so I have to vouch for that game too. I used to order pizza in the Sims 3, quickly add torgo to my household, and start a family. Don’t think I would ever use it after that, except maybe teen parties.
Love it! Why is the delievery guy so great? :)
Thanks for the reply! The original selection of bachelors in sunset valley was lacking to say the least lol. I got sick of marrying Connor Frio and just so happened to have a want to order pizza the first time I did it. He also starts with one trait so I got to add my own without making a whole new sim (which is rarely fun for me).
@@TorgoPendragon I see, funny that it caught on :)
the problem with the sims 3 being so dark is bc you did not record in window mode :D for some reason if not recorded in window mode it is a lot darker than it is actually in the game :)
Thank you! I will make sure to change it :)
Very cozy video!
Thank you :)
hi, the sims 3 has bad lighting but it's not supposed to be this bad. there might be something up with your graphics settings. also yeah the base game doesn't have much to work with but i think it's because you can decorate and shange everything pretty much and the game lowkey tries to force you to take advantage of create a style lol
Thank you for commenting, I'll have to look more into the graphics. I have explored some more since, and I DO really ADORE the options for customisation 🙏
Do you plan to play other expansions of the Sims 3?
I will, I'm buying the expansion- and stuff packs continuously
Your game is usually dark 😬
🙃🌃
