I can't believe you almost forgot my favourite Kitchen and Bath Stuff?! I always get the feeling that I am the only one appreciating this pack and even with tons of CC I still use these objects in almost every house, especially the kitchen appliances
Great video, for me FreeTime is a must have since I always use the hobby system to give my sims personality along with the secondary aspirations and the rest of aspiration benefits; my lower would be pets since I feel like I could definitely play without it, even though it's a great pack I just don't find much gameplay besides having cute dogs and cats in the family hahaha - The one that makes me question a lot is nightlife, in one hand I barely go to downtown and I don't really use cars since I send my sims walking everywhere (I hate waiting for the cab) but I do use dates quite often and I love using the chemistry system to pair my sims; overall I feel like something about Sims 2 expansion packs is that they always had something great that made you think "I truly need it"
My list is pretty much similar to yours Open for business and Seasons was mind blowing for me back then Seasons was something that i wanted since Sims 1, so when it came out was kind of a check point in my memory. i still remember how excited I was! Pets was crazy to, i really love the attention they had to details from animals, the animations... was so ahead of its time. I like Nightlife too, but my pc was so 'humble' (new word learned, thank you) that it used to take like 5min to load the lots 😂 because of it i couldnt enjoyed it the way i wanted Bon voyage i didnt like that much. in my opnion was kind a downgrade to Sims 1, it looks like normal lots, with nothing so diferent to do. In Sims 1 Vacation i loved the games that you could play and receive some special coins to change for suvenirs, the voley and snowboard was really nice too. And each lot was diferent... Bon voyage looks all the same. really nice to see you again, keep up the good work! 😊
ps: its quite funny because i was about to send you a sugestion of video to make, and its a ranking too!! i just have to be inspired to put the idea in english words its kind of tough for me... but i will get it!!
Thank you so much for your kind comment 😊 I had the same problem with a slow computer, so I guess that's also why I never used the community lots (I completely forgot about that detail now that my computer is fast)! ☺ I'm happy, that we share the excitement for the games, I'm planning on doing a rating of the Sims (1) games too at some point. Please let me hear your suggestions, if you want to share 💪
@@Reese-sim I would love to see your rating of Sims 1, it is my favorite Sims! If you still have the boxes, show it too. Here in Brazil they were completely different 🤔 I sent the idea to your email, so no one could stole it from you 😊
I'd say the opposite, in Sims1OH all the lots were more of the same, just aesthetically different. The choices were essentially between being in a hotel, or roughing it in a tent. On the other hand, Sims2BV gave you three different worlds with tons to explore (that's what the mementoes did, they were like a logbook that told you whether you explored everything). Here choosing the mountains over the beach, over the far east really gave you a whole different experience...
@@adrianblake8876 Really? I mean, i haven't played over a decade. I would have to play again to see but i think keep my nostalgia memories would be better for now 😂
Interesting choices. Though in my video I would have ordered so much differently. Quite honestly Sims 2 era have more hits than misses in their DLCs so I would put every pack at cheering hahah
I agree that in reality all of the Sims 2-packs are hits, and I'm only able to put packs in 'sul sul' and 'uh-uh' because I have to compare them to each other 😂 What would your choices be?
@@Reese-sim Mine is Nightlife and Open for Business for me, but honestly I cant really choose! I forgot my ranking because I have done it a long time ago haha! I still have the video in my channel.
Sims 2 Open for Business was PEAK sims 2! Still the best system for owning and building businesses, and it felt so good seeing your business grow! It is also the only pack that wants you to leave the lot often that I really like. I don't really like switching lots a lot in sims 2, loading screens get repetitive and there isn't much you can do that you can't just do at home, and your sims can't do really do anything except socialize. OfB changed that since you got talent badges (and skills on owned lots) on community lots now. Loved University and Seasons! University did the thing where they let time move forward on community lots, and let you keep level up skills on their community lots. Why wasn't that implemented into the rest of the game?! I have always loved seasons, in any sims game. And the fishing and gardening badges were nice additions. I loved that if you have homegrown fruits and vegetables in the fridge the meals filled your hunger bar more, and I also believe this pack introduced the concept of saving leftovers(?), which was a big deal. Apartments are too small for me, I like building out as my sims progress, eventually making big houses where I can learn all skills easily and have lots of different things to do, can't really do that in an apartment. AND the constant noisy neighbors waking my sims up all the time got old really fast! I despise Bon Voyage!!! After one day on vacation I got bored, there is nothing to do except collect stickers, and the only "difficult" thing about collecting them is finding out what they are. I will always love the concept of pets, but none of the sims games has really captured it for me. My biggest complaint with the sims 2 pets is that they would ALWAYS fight/hiss other pets autonomously, no matter what their personality was. It made it so difficult to have pets be friends and/or breed. And you can't cuddle with pets on the bed or sofa. Teaching them different tricks was cool, though. FreeTime had some cool ideas, but ended up just making the game too easy for me, especially with the slower need decay, knowledge sims easily gaining bonus skill points, popularity sims gaining friends more easily etc. And you couldn't really control what they were interested in, so they most often got a lifetime wish that didn't really satisfy their hobby interest! And while that might be how a lot of real people end up with jobs that don't rely on their hobbies, I think most people would love if they could do their hobby for a living, and that's why it doesn't work for me! The white glow and sound effect also got annoying really quickly! Didn't care about stuff packs growing up, and still kinda don't. Doesn't really change the gameplay most of the time, just the look of the game, which I am satisfied with already! Always fun to see and read other peoples perspective!
Thank you SO MUCH for your comments! It's so interesting to hear other people's view, and I really see your points. I do like the stuff-packs though because I really enjoy building, so new stuff is great for a more detailed look.
Pls do a general ranking of sims 1, 2, 3 expansion packs
I'll most definitely look into doing that! ☺

And the Bathroom ofc, as Free time also came with a kitchen set...
I know!😂 I use it all the time as well, and I also especially love the kitchen stuff. It really added to the interior options.
