Long comment here. I’m looking for how this works bc my sister, dad and I are going to track our walking progress together to help dad get out & walk more. How does my phone know I’m walking? Do I have to have a Fitbit or watch - it really interested in having more devices. I only walk on a treadmill. Also, I’ve lived in FL most of my life and folks think it’s just a race track, Disney and beaches. It’s so much more. Thanks for any help/advice.

Hello @@mattinthehat22 Thanks for watching the video. Here is information from their website; The Walk the Distance app allows you to easily record your distance using your phone’s Google Fit (Android), Health app (iPhone), Fitbit or Garmin! www.walkthedistanceapp.com ...As you see in the video, I used it and found the information on it interesting. Check out the site and see more info. I have no affiliation with it other than I enjoyed using it and the coincidence of being at the same location on the app and in real time was pretty coo! Walk on, Frank

Quite intersting to watch this. I agree about walking ("a low barrier to entry" hahah!). In my opinion, what is underestimated is the anxiety and stress created by medication and operations. Doctors recommend all kinds of tests and screening and medication and never seem to take into account the stress such things will cause and stress is a major carcinogen and Afib trigger!. Somewhere in you tube a person relates how he had a stroke while being ablated and is grateful that by chance doctors were to hand to deal with his stroke!! Didnt occur to him that the abaltion caused the stroke.
