Thank you! I listened to the original story one time on audiobook when I was sleeping I woke my wife up with my screaming because I was freaked out by the part where they were trying to break in the door. Haha

I listen to these TH-cam videos that are basically an hours worth of story set to ambient music with another several hours of ambient music at the end. I’ve been listening to those kind of videos for several years now. And it just occurred to me I’ve had a bunch of original stories in various forms of draft for quite some time now and the only thing that holds me back from publishing them as it takes a lot of time and effort to do the type of video animation I do for the prologue videos. But this format doesn’t require that because you’re not watching anything, you’re dozing off and falling asleep. So while I do hope that people actually listen to my stories, I thought this was a good way to just get a bunch of them out into the universe.

I hear you, I’m constantly bouncing back-and-forth between painting miniatures, organizing the games and playing the games with the last one being the one I do the least. And now making content for it takes up time too. Yes those dashboards are really great. We had two lucky winners for this months giveaway. But next month we are doing another giveaway which will be pretty damn awesome as well so definitely stay tuned for that.

I love reading his original stories but it is a little bit more difficult because of his very old school vocabulary and writing style. If you want a very easy way to get the same stories but in a more consumable audio drama format I can’t recommend HP Lovecraft historical Society’s dark adventure radio theater enough. I think they have like 30 of his stories or so. You can buy them on audio CD on their website or on audiobook on Amazon. Which is where I bought all mine. I write the intros myself. There’s a little bit of text in terms of the description of the scenario from the game but it’s usually just a brief couple sentences. I take that plus I go through all the discovery cards and the game mechanics for that particular scenario and use as a basis that to write the prologues. However it’s usually very little story so wow that might be some of the ingredients I add a lot of additional ingredients to the recipe so it’s more of an engaging story versus a snippet of lore. If that makes any sense. This particular episode is a very good example of the stuff that I add to the bit of lore from the game. And some of the discovery cards they talk about circus performers. And then of course there’s this dance with these sort of trance to people. So I took the bit about Circus performers and said they were murdered by a cult and then turned into the dancing zombies that are at the masquerade. All those pieces just fit together perfectly and made it a little bit more horrific than anything from just the game would have.

Good point. I guess I was looking to have some sort of a team putting a plan together vibe but I guess it’s sort of the antithesis of that in terms of what it looks like they’re doing. Lol

Yeah I’ve kind of made these a little bit all over the place but once I started a box I tried to do each episode in sequential order. It would be nice to get season one completed
