I love playing the game. I’m not that good, but that doesn’t stop me from playing it.
That's the problem high over powered players its not about one person l it's never good and most of us can't do trails and not at all on vet mode it is certainly necessary to remaster the game And make better animations for gaming and texture should certainly be much better for certain earlier gear and mounts Most of you are stuck on one thing, the game definitely needs to be polished For PvP there must certainly be or will be a gear that must have if you do or will do PVP as soon as you enter the battle you will activate on for Everyone the same gear, no extra powers from rings in combination with gear, they have to remove that, only your looks or skin motif remain the same the game is hard enough and unfortunately with the world bosses you complain too much that it becomes more difficult, I would say take off your clothes or gear and take your black and staff with you and start gaming like this, I used to be able to change the bosses now most of them can't even be beat only for some of you and most of them are nowhere to be found if you need their help please don't let them make it any harder otherwise player like you will all stay behind and just watch me become the most people start playing another game They can enjoy better mounts and better weapon and spell animations that are smoother and not only that the merchant and banker have to get it on your US and European server as soon as you have bought something with Crown instead of buying it new again false and deceiving The highest level players cannot play, the only thing they can do is run numbers, but they have no skill, their strength and skill is calculating numbers and how to do them with specific gear, when I often look at them, how they are on fire, they are specialized in the Mechanics and that is why most of them find it boring your you are no longer free but more dependent and I think that is a shame about some MMOs
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, this is a lot to respond to! I am not a top tier player. I have never parsed over 100k. I don't have any trifectas, and I am generally not invited to prog groups. I have also always been a strong advocate for accessibility and casual-friendly content. But I still think ESO has a 'sense of progression' problem and much of the content is too easy to provide a fulfilling gameplay experience. Unfortunately, this can't be resolved by the occasional world boss encounter or self-nerfing by taking your gear off and I think it has been detrimental to the long-term health of the game. The fact that adjusting overworld difficulty is on ZOS's short list also seems to confirm that this has become a top concern of the player base. It has been one of the most common topics throughout the community on the forums, subreddit and so on. This doesn't mean the entire overworld should become more difficult, there are many ways they could tackle this challenge without making the game overly difficult for the super-casual player and I look forward to seeing what they propose. Perhaps it's an opt-in system, specific zones, vet quests, bonus challenges, or something else entirely. I would be truly SHOCKED if we saw any sort of blanket increase in difficulty across the entirety of Tamriel.
Thanks a lot, brilliant guide! I'm here for Zerith-Var special furnishing indeed haha :D
Wow. That is so nice. Definitely on my list now.
Hopefully they can release more content similar to swtor. A couple of small updates with 2 large updates a year.
Agreed! I wish the director's letter had been accompanied by a roadmap with more details, but I'm still optimistic.
Love your elf's eye colour. Is it a crown crate one? Thanks!
Definitely my favorite, Eyes of the Xivilai, actually available for the next 3 days in the Stonelore crates.
One thing to add maybe in a new player part 2 is that contract cards don't add to your deck so are safe to play and you can also pick cards like the blue and purple cards that instantly draw another card that essentially then don't take up place in your deck since they cycle themselves out.
Great points! I'll definitely favor contract cards as well if there's nothing better to purchase. Deck dilution is one of the biggest mistakes I see new players make in pvp matches.
Were you using an appearance change token in the video?
I was, but only to access the character customization screen. I always keep one on hand so I can get back in and check sliders / film these videos then revert the changes.
Very well done video , but honestly I have watched the whole thing and still have no clue how to play that damn card game. I gave it a shot when it launched despite my better judgement and never understood how it works. I don't know why ZOS put all this energy in a feature no one asked for and few play but do appreciate you trying to simplify an over complicated card game. 100% support your effort as a content creator but they should just let this card game rest in peace hahaha
Fair enough! I was mildly surprised when they added it but then again, Gwent and Triple Triad are both fairly popular among their respective fanbases, and I actually enjoy Tales of Tribute more than either of those. Even as a ToT fan though, I'm good for now. I don't think they should allocate any more resources to it for a long time.
Why not different animals like a guar and wolf
I was just trying not to get my hopes up too high! But I agree. I think Wardens should be able to get a skill style for pretty much any beast in the game. I would happily spend hours collecting fragments all over Tamriel for new Warden pet options.
YOU CANT MAKE ME PLAY TOT!
Its pretty fun once you understand how it works
No one is trying to. You do you.
Been playing on and off since the beginning and this for me is only positive and I’m actually planning on doing a new character again. Looking forward to it
So when is this coming to bedrock? I need this now!
Move on people, times up on this game. The proverbial dangling carrot is looking a bit too old and mouldy to keep following. They want your cash for way less effort now.
It's nice to be optimistic, but an honest look at the numbers, both from the MMO Populations website and Steam charts, shows a drastic decline in active players. Whether Bethesda is publicly admitting it or not, they are moving their best devs and creative team members over to the new secret space MMO. The unspoken hope is to keep the ESO cash register ringing until the new MMO is raking in dollars and Euros. It's a business. The idea of seasonal rollouts rather than the yearly chapter is an effort to disguise less new overall content sprinkled sporadically over a more extended period so that no one notices that it's actually much less new content.
Perhaps! For better or worse, ESO is the only MMO on the market right now that delivers on the features that matter to me. If this new seasonal content system is all smoke and mirrors, I'll be disappointed of course, but I do believe it was time to shake things up. There are a lot of game systems and even mini-zones or 2nd tier features that probably wouldn't fit well into the yearly chapter system - some of which they alluded to in the letter.
Love your collected take man!
Hello I'm really confused this comment about Not showing new players prologue quest or Chapter quest compass pins. Does this ZOS are removing quest starters in the ESO online ? were you can activate them for free, because there are proulge quests for the main ones.
I believe a common critique is that the game is overwhelming for brand-new and returning players. There are too many NPCs yelling at you to save their homeland or whatever. My takeaway from the letter is that they are going to clean that up and advertise a clearer pathway through the content in game. I suspect you would still be able to choose a different sequence, but there won't be as many breadcrumb quests distracting you out of the gate.
I'm not sure this is more efficient than normal way but you can also level up like 10+ skill lines at the same time. Wear 3 pieces of armor for each weight to unlock the skill line then wear 2 heavy, 2 light, 3 medium till you hit 50 in all of them. You can put 1 skill from all your class skill lines on the bar. 1 of them should go in the ultimate slot once you get to level 12 in it. The other 3 slots on the bar will be 1 skill for each weapon you are interested in and lastly wear a different weapon from the ones you have skills om the bar. So, for example on an arcanist you could level up. Light armor Medium armor Heavy armor By adding 1 skill on the bar: All 3 class skill lines Resto staff S&B Destro staff Dual wield by equiping 2 swords Fighters will passively level up in the background if you have it unlocked as most dungeons qualify for it. Racial skill will level up in the background. If you intend to use it it's also best be a vampire as the skill line levels up passively. Assault and support will passively level up while you queue for the battleground daily. I will suggest having a war torte active for that daily. The skill on the bar should also be swapped once you get to morph to level the next one in line. I.e once runic jolt is ready to morph swap it with runespite ward, and so on. This will also give you all the skills ready to swap builds and mess around later on without any added effort.
This wont change anything the games dead. And most people have there trifectas due to the game being watered down from the arcanist.. and newbies last a maximum off a month and become lost and if they do stay its untill they find out how unbelievably toxic and cringe end game is.... nothing is saving this trash game anymore. Plus the servers are at the point off going bang aswell... pray all you like this game aint got much more in it and its pretty obvious and if you disagree you aint been around since day 1.
Censorship on complaints thru forms or subreddits is real. They need to open their ears and listen to the guys that grind this game! This year hasnt been a hot year for eso at all lol Wishing the best to bring in new players, vet players and keep people in the game. All the issues going on right now with IC, Cyro and BG and we get a $20 skill style instead!
If you screw up this mission by talking to the characters in the zone, is there any other way to get that 30% or restart this mission?
The easiest option is just to run a Battleground or two. They are usually pretty relaxed under 50, and that's often enough AP to level up the skill enough to purchase the passive.
@@Kalam0n awesome, thank you
I just unlocked the Hall of the Lunar (still need to get the tablets) and was looking for inspiration on how to decorate this massive home especially since I've lived exclusively in inn suites and have been playing for a few months. Your house build epic! 🎉
Thank you! The Lunar Champion home is so much more fun to work on than those tiny inn rooms.
ESO needs to overhaul cyrodiil remove the map borders making traversal seamless and overhaul PvP to be a whole cross the map experience with keeps throughout the entire Tamriel
It's no secret they made Scribing locked behind buying the chapter DLC, but if there's no chapters, they would probably release these new systems as part of the main game. Chapters are too rigid, and force them to walk content in pace with release schedule... without a strict release schedule, and them saying "we're going experimental", the best case scenario is that they release MORE content without these restrictions.
I definitely agree with the less strict release schedule. I hope this enables more content, and a wider variety of content as well. Can't wait to see a roadmap though!
Thank you for the great breakdown Kalam0n.
I want new pve guilds like necromancer and Vampires. This would make playing them more immersive. Mini game guild watch unlocks like a tavern brawler miniggame. Mount racing guild wars 2 style there's so much mini game ideas in yakuza that would be great inspiration how to make thematic mini games that aren't card games.,
I would love to see an extension to the Vampire and Werewolf storylines!
I am glad they are investing time to update the older zones. The game is getting static with most of us in the new chapter map while all other maps are almost deserted. While we have completed all zone quests, we do not have the incentive to revisit those older zones.
I was just thinking about this while working on the new companions. They've been giving us more reasons to visit so a fresh coat of paint makes a lot of sense.
The graphics update on starting zones.. sure ok nice! The thing is the ugliest thing about the graphics is the characters model's not the zone's.. the must upgrade character graphics/animations
Interesting! I've never minded the character models/animations, at least not for the most part. I wouldn't complain about enhancements there as well, but I generally like the way my characters look. I do think some of the animations are a bit stiff though.
#1 players in cyrodill will NOT like their skills repalced having skills you dont like and are forced to use them isnt fun it will have to be an option to turn on or off or it will fail. #2 eso will become a seasonal game like world of warcraft i dont know if i will like that or not most games with seasons replace all their gear every season so i wonder how it will work for eso. #3 im excited for the updated graphics its about time many other games already have graphical overhauls that are much older then eso. #4 Harder overland content for better rewards is a great idea it could make players want to go out in the newly graphical overhauled zones and do stuff.
We're definitely reading between the lines a little bit, but I'm assuming that these Cyrodiil-exclusive skills would be limited to a single campaign unless they are well received. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw them retain a campaign with the current player-caps and skills alongside an alt campaign with pvp-skills and higher player-caps. This is just speculation on my part, but it almost reads as-if the engine can't support both a higher player-cap and the full selection of existing skills.
@@Kalam0n ready for $40 seasonal battle passes?
Yeah nah, seasonal content is stupid. It does nothing but drive FOMO. If I brought a chapter, I could play at my leasure, my time. You can't do that with seasonal events.
They did clarify that 'Season content' in ESO would still be permanent content additions and not limited-time FOMO stuff. We have to take them at their word for the moment, but I read that as mini-expansions/DLCs and not limited-access battlepasses.
Since the Letter by Matt Firor was published I watched a lot of content about it. Some negative and some positive. Your approach comes as close as possible to mine. I see this as a chance for ESO to finally get rid of longstanding issues with the game but I am also skeptical how they will deliver the new content. I like to play in Cyrodiil. This new campaign doesn't sound all that good to me. Like a dumbed down version of combat but I am willing to wait and see what it is really like. And hopefully, if it is bad, the community will let them know and they scrap it.
I've been playing a ton of Cyrodiil lately and it's kind of interesting to read all the negativity out there. As a relative newcomer to Cyrodiil, I haven't really experienced much serious lag, even when all 3 alliances are capped in Gray Host, and it's been a mostly fun experience. Perhaps I just don't know what I missed out on in the past?
I have mixed feelings so yeah. 🤦🏾♀️ I will start off with saying i disagree with the overland difficulty increasing harder i think that’s ridiculous that’s all i gotta say for now.
I’m comin back 100% this sounds great lol
Don't tease us! Loved your off-meta build videos!
I saw you posting in the ESO subreddit this week and I wondered if you were considering a return!
I'm cautiously optimistic. The seasonal bite sized stuff sounds fine, I'm just worried it will be to obviously patched in and wont feel like it belongs to older zones. I'm most excited about base game love. Very nervous about the PvP specific skills, I'm afraid this will water things down too much and take away choice. I'm a casual player since launch, and mediocre at best at PvP and I don't mind getting ganked or losing to an obvious sweat lord, I usually learn something. I love large scale PvP but I hope we can maintain different kinds of activities, so elite don't get bored and stop teaching us scrubs! Overall I'm glad they are trying something and will try to be fair and constructive. Great video thanks Kal, looking forward to anymore housing tips/vids! That's my favorite content on your channel!
Imagine how cool it would be to enter an actually dangerous zone like Deadlands for the first time, I would mind every enemy every step it would feel so real! But of course im speaking as someone who love the lore and roleplaying...I dont roleplay with other people but love that feeling that that world is real! I basically play as it was a singleplayer game and would love more of it buuut I know its a mmo and not everyone would love it. I dont think they will do anything extreme though. I also like the part about adding new stories to old maps! That are already so much lore and known characters I wish to know even more about them, and not new characters and threaths to the world, we already have enough threaths and enemies on many realms, lets just join forces with existing npcs groups/guilds and face them! I agree with you, after reading the letter I felt it was positive in general.
This is exactly what I'm hoping for as well - I certainly don't think we need every zone to be an edge-of-your-seat, nail-biting experience, but I just feel like something is lost when a zone like the Deadlands is no more challenging than a zone like Auridon. It trivializes the sense of progression and undermines the story/roleplay aspect IMO. I've seen several excellent suggestions on how overland difficulty could be improved but I also recognize this is a touchy subject with a lot of room for error. I'm just excited to hear they are planning to try and address is.
Everyone keeps bringing up Craglorn, as someone who has played the game for a good long while allow me to remind every one...Craglorn was unpopular when it launched and eventually they had to dial the difficulty down. It was frankly a failed experiment. I can take or leave an Overland difficulty change, as I am fairly well geared player at this point. That said what I do not want is to have to be a in a four man group to run a zone. That is literally the point of Dungeons or group Delves. A little harder, sure no problem, the entire zone is basically a giant dungeon... HARD PASS. I, like a lot of people, do not want to have to group to quest. I quest at my own pace and do not want to be forced to fly through the zone because someone else in the group is the kind skip all the quest text and charge forward. Also, and everyone is entitled to their opinion here, but the biggest reason I play an Elder Scrolls game is for the story telling...and it has been extremely weak of late. I hated the story of Gold Road, it had a few good moments but the ending left me feeling flat and just felt like a HUGE missed opportunity. If they dial back the story content to basically ten or twelve quest a year that I can do in thirty minutes, that will probably be reason enough for me to move along to something else. Unlike yourself Kal, I am not optimistic about this, but we shall see, and hopefully I am wrong.
As a player who wasn't here for day 1 Craglorn, I appreciate your perspective! I also agree, I would absolutely NOT want to see entire zones become inaccessible to solo players, and I certainly don't want to have to group to get basic quests done. But I wouldn't mind if it took me a couple tries to beat the big bad at the end of a zone story, or if there were some zones where you really want to have a good build and a fully kitted out companion before you dive in. I get that we sort of see this with Public Dungeons and World Bosses, but for some reason, that doesn't quite satisfy.
@provisionalhypothesis I did complete them both, I have completed everything they have put out so far. I felt like the ending of this forgotten Prince was such a let down. They basically said “use your words” and made her go away. It should have been an epic battle and put her back in her cage for future use. Instead we got the “oh I’m sorry and I’ll simply go away.” A huge waste. Of course that is my opinion and no one has to agree with me. But I am not the only person that believes that the story telling from ZOS has gotten weaker as it progressed. As for over reacting I said I would wait and see. Also if ZOS want to avoid this sort of thing, don’t wait 4-5 months between giving us more information that kind of time gap is going to cause problems and massive speculation.
If they make overland content hard/harder I will unsub and uninstall. There is hard and harder content in the game already (trials/arenas/IA). I am not a sweatlord, I like to chill when I am playing an mmo. Also, the power level difference between a new player and a vet is huge. Try leveling in overland content with zero cp right now, it is hard. Making it harder will just push more new players away
I definitely think there's a right way and a wrong way to approach this. If I were in charge, I'd be specifically looking at an opt-in mechanic and converting a handful of zones/areas into 'vet' with upgraded incentives. I mentioned the Deadlands but Amenos, Apocrypha, and Blackreach come to mind as well. I'd be very, very surprised if overworld content just got harder in general.
Fr 🤦🏾♀️💯
they meant increasing the difficulty like adding more bosses and group events like dolmens or maybe even a mini trial world boss in the overland
Ask yourself one thing: how is zos trackrecord of doing things right, and you would be as concerned as I am
I cant part with furnishings
the reason i left Everquest is because it became hard core. you couldn't solo. if you didn't have a group, you were dead, period. and even for casual grouping it was impossible. the reason i left Everquest 2 is because it was beginning to get that way. I like ESO because I can play every zone with a companion. I don't raid. I don't do Cyridiil. but i do love being able to go to every zone and kill any minor mob that attacks me. I don't try to do bosses with just a companion except in the dungeons. so no, if they make some zones so difficult that i can't play them, then i will find another game. i pay for this game and expect to play it my way. it isn't free to play like in everquest where you just log in and don't have to buy anything. you actually have to buy the game. i am a casual player who is just looking to enjoy scrying, fishing, getting house items and crafting. the thing i miss from other games are things like crafting, (potion, spell, etc) depots for the home where you can put thousands of crafting items in storage, 2k plus slots for putting any type of furniture i want in the house, being able to research spells (no, scribing doesn't come close), breakouts- where you can break out of the house into the areas around it, personal banks in addition to account shared bank and guild bank, and the ability to resize furniture to fit into any space. some things are just too big or too small. I also miss a concept that used to be in EQ2 but they took it out, and i would love to find a game that has it- player made dungeons that offer xp and rewards.
Thank you for sharing your perspective! I do suspect any changes to the overworld would likely be limited to specific zones/areas or as an opt-in mechanic. We obviously don't know much today, but in the past, they've spoken at length about how they see the ability to choose your own path as a key game feature. I'll go out on a limb here and say that I think there's 0 chance ESO ever becomes a hardcore pve experience. I'd also be excited to see some of the other stuff you mentioned, improvements to those secondary game systems, housing, storage, player-made experiences. All great suggestions!
@@fyurileblanc7206 I wouldnt be happy if I was forced to join groups to do overland stuff either. What I imagined was making some enemies that should be stronger, stronger, more challenging, of course, in a way I could solo it with a companion. I just feel it breaks the immersion when you kill quest villains way too easily or certain overland enemies you see theyre visually tougher, bigger, etc but facing them doesnt feel like a fight...it would take longer/more attempts but at the end I would be able to do this on my own.
Thanks!
Thank you!
garden update/texture update would be nice..
maybe add some earie vibes for the mobs? yes?
main note all the work you did for MCV 1.21.1 doesnt work passed 1.21.2 due to how they re-did everything.. For future readers Yes. This Pack is Broken till they update it. and you WILL crash your game if you start it in 1.21.3/have it crash your other resource packs
RIP to twohander tanks :(

hi can someone pls tell me do i need optifine?!
Optifine or Fabric+CITresewn. In more recent versions of my pack I've started using the Armor Trims.
@@Kalam0n ohhhhh ok thank you so much and is there no way at all without fabric/optifine/ etc without downloading anything, and starting from scratch?
No joke this method made the game 10x more enjoyable thank you so much 🙏
This game is on its last leg especially after the lead combat designer showed live on stream he has no idea how core combat mechanics work 😢
Playing since beta. No it’s not dieing lol just the deadwood leaves
This is also a great way to stock up on transmute crystals if you have the undaunted unlocked already
