They really did a excellent job with the electronics on this one, normally RTR electronics leave a lot to be desired.

The 1060 is really good for the price, really hard to beat it. I was able to repurpose this 1060 into another truck.

They are oil filled and I think "halfway decent" is a pretty solid description of them. The truck is on the smaller end of the 1/10 scale trucks.

That's fair haha! I didn't want to bother with it but I'm pretty sure it is a few screws to take out the interior and then a screw at the bottom that attaches both the head and the hat.

I just pulled the front of the interior loose from it's double-sided tape mounting to put the cap on the driver with the 2 bits of double-sided tape provided.

Sincerely appreciate that, I really do. I need to do a follow up video because I did run into issues with the drive shaft, not sure if it is a one off thing or poor parts.

@@YARCWest I think this kit and RGT Tracer are last models before major change in design and quality. EX86190, EX86130 aka Pro Runner and EX86170 Pro are awesome trucks. Those last two I own. Pro runner is a beast. Great out of the box. Well equipped and great quality. Challenger Pro is next level. Fusion and brass in RTR ? No one is doing that. RGT is on fire. Their newest Pathfinder release is amazing.

I didn't run the greens only because I was worried they would be too soft but from everything I've heard they're fantastic on this truck.

I haven’t broken anything yet but if I did break an axle that I couldn’t fix I would check Banggood first before risking a Traxxas replacement. If I broke a link I’d probably just buy any links that match the length from Amazon.

@ perfect thanks, I will do the same then, because in aliexpress they dont sell parts for the hb r1001 concretely, but in banggood they do sell them, from the manufacturer of the car. There are some videos of people saying that traxxas axles work, but I will not risk it either, since it seems the stock axles are quite good. Thanks again!

It takes a little bit of work to upgrade the motor and servo but it's not hard at all. The Remote that comes with the truck will still work. The remote, or transmitter, ties into the Receiver, which I left alone in my upgrades.

I was able to fit the wheels on another set of tires for a different truck so it all worked out in the end!

The FCX18 version came with the lift and the tires are 1.3inch

I either use a 2200 3S or 5200 2S, I usually get about an hour of run time but I almost always in low gear so it lasts longer.

I did, in the Upgrade video I swap out the ESC.

I haven't had an issue with the diffs yet and I can't speak to parts availability specifically for that, but I've seen other replacement parts on Banggood. If locking diffs are unimportant to you, I'd def go with the Bronco.

There should be a switch on your transmitter for St Rev (Steering Reverse), just flip it

Hey! The links for the tires are in the description of the videos where I find the upgrades. Bronco are JConcept Ruptures and the Wrangler are the tires from the Ascent Fusion. I like the Ruptures but the more I run the Wrangler the less I like the Ascent tires, I just don’t think they do well enough in the environments I run in. I haven’t changed out the shock oil but all the stuff I added to the Bronco have made it very heavy.

@@YARCWestgreat, thanks! I am also adding a lot of weight(brass, rims, light bar, silicone inserts, undercarriage shields…) and I was debating to add 100cst/10w shock oil or leave it stock, I like soft realistic suspension movement, what do you recommend? Thanks again

I would run with it how it is and if you don’t like you could always changing it for different weight

I used the stock servo horn, it’s metal so no need to change as long as the teeth match
