Bennedict Mathurin is Ready to TAKE OVER for the Indiana Pacers…
4 games in to the season, and Pacers fans were angry. Benedict Mathurin started off the season on fire leading the Pacers in scoring through 2 games, including being their BEST overall player down the stretch against the Pistons, and Pacers fans were starting to see the signs that these early season flashes were going to finally allow him to explode like many have been expecting and vault into one of the top 3 players on the roster. Instead, Rick Carlisle buried him, and he virtually was benched the next two games. Carlisle then appeared on an Indianapolis radio show following those games, critical of Mathurin’s “defense and rebounding” saying that “scoring isn’t all the game is about”. Things have changed drastically since then however. Through a couple of injuries to Andrew Nembhard and Aaron Nesmith, Carlisle virtually had no choice but to slot Mathurin into the starting lineup, and since then, he has been a revelation. Arguably the best offensive player on the team alongside Pascal Siakam since then, and doing his part to keep the team afloat through numerous injuries and immense struggles from Tyrese Haliburton. Is it finally time for him to break out and show Pacers fan’s what they’ve been hoping to see since his rookie year, a player who can consistently be one of, if not the best scorer on the Pacers roster? Let’s get in to Mathurin’s game, the good, the bad, and finally, what the Pacers should actually do to maximize the potential of Mathurin as a player.

In Case You Forgot, LaMelo Ball is Still That Guy…

LaMelo Ball is back. After not playing since January, he comes out and doesn’t just do well, he completely DOMINATED en route to what is probably the best overall performance of any player so far in this young NBA season with 34 points, 8 rebounds, and 11 assists, in a Charlotte Hornets victory over a team that a lot of people came in to this season being excited for in the Houston Rockets. Now...
A Jalen Johnson Breakout for The Atlanta Hawks is Inevitable...
มุมมอง 232หลายเดือนก่อน
Jalen Johnson JUST signed a 5 year, 150 million dollar extension with the Atlanta Hawks, and surprisingly, the national fan reaction has been somewhat mixed, with a number of fans claiming it’s an “overpay” and “they’re just giving anyone 30 million now” I, however, can say pretty firmly, that these fans are in fact, casuals. Go to Hawks fans posts and forums to get a better grasp of what peopl...

Every year, there’s always a story or two about a player who no one thought had any shot of competing for an NBA roster. This year, that player could be Japanese po...

At #24 in the Greatest Payers of All Time series is none other than John Havlicek. Havlicek is a player who rarely gets the credit he is due by the general basketball public. You're looking at a player who was consistently one of the best players in the league throughout his career, but he’s often an afterthought from his era when you ask an average NBA fan. I personally consider this an absolu...

"One Of The Best Scoring Prospects in Years" | Who Is Ace Bailey Really?
มุมมอง 6513 หลายเดือนก่อน
For the 2025 draft, all eyes are currently on Cooper Flagg, and for good reason, Cooper is a great prospect and has very few holes in his game. That being said, the 2025 class is talented, and Cooper isn’t the only elite prospect at the top end of the draft. One can even make the argument that there is another player near the top end of prospects in 2025 who has even higher of a ceiling than Co...

The 2024 draft was considered a down year. With 2023 having Victor Wembanyama, a generational level prospect, 2024 didn’t really have any top level guys at all (at least as far as prospects go, some may overachieve). 2025 is considered a step back up, with numerous high level prospects, none more hyped than Cooper Flagg. Considered by many to be the clear top player in the 2025 draft class, man...

With the 55th pick in the NBA Draft, the Lost Angeles Lakers selected Bronny James out of USC. Typically, the 55th pick would garner nearly 0 attention whatsoever, with the player selected projected to likely play very little if none at all as a rookie, with a probable G League assignment expected, and possibly, never even making it to realistic minutes at the NBA level. Bronny, of course, is a...

There’s a lot that goes into determining what makes a player a top prospect in a draft class. You're always factoring in things like fit, production, NBA readiness, and desirable skill sets. 100%. You can’t just take a player and teleport him to today without any of the modern advancements. You take Havlicek and have him be born 25 years ago in the modern day with all the modern training but the same talent and work ethic and yes, he’d still be an elite player at the NBA level. Same as you can’t take LeBron and put him back in the 60s. You’d have to have him be born in the 40s and grow up with that training and equipment. He’s a great talent so he’d still be great then too, but he wouldn’t do any of the things he did throughout his career because most of them wouldn’t have been invented yet. The era by era comparisons are unfair because that’s not how things work

Given that he was the primary offensive option for his team-and often the only credible option-it's difficult to judge his defense. He couldn't risk fouling out, for one, and also needed to conserve his energy, something Lebron has shown during his career. That noted, his lateral movement looks slow on video, so I doubt he could ever be a better than passable defender.
