Great Video !!! About how much total do you think u think u got in the last storm we got about 16 MORE inches. I was looking at my calendar and I think between all of the storms we have Got 8 FEET! Crazy weather ain't it !! T
seems you get alot more volume for less weight on the vertical.... BUT they dont do near as well with small loads .... but it does seem like they mix better when filled to max compared to the horizontal.... ones they get full they struggle to mix im liking the simplicity of the vertical as seems like in general less moving parts
if your using it to grind hay .... it takes a while but i can get 3200 or more pounds ...... if im loading ground hay i can get over 4000.... have a calf load that takes 4000 pounds of hay and then i load it up to 10500 pounds with silage and corn and distillers
knives seem to just cut the net to bits just like a hay grinder does..... when not froze ill pry still take it off but its impossible right now with the amount of snow and such we have had
I have the same mixer, will be my 3rd winter with it coming up. Love it.
That magnum sounds so amazing with no muffler ❤😂
thanks
Gotta love winter and all the extra headaches. The mixer does a superb job of shredding and mixing looks like. Thanks for sharing guys stay warm!
thanks
Good video. When dumped that bale in really made tractor work. Feed nice after mixed.
awww... that straight pipe just makes it seem like its working.... pry only running 30 percent engine load
good times ! i can stand and watch a mixer run for a while, something mesmerizing about it.
i can too... i always crawl up the the top and watch it when im not in a HURRY
@@tedkahler9738 you just can't get in it like you can with a wagon of flowing corn. Don't ask how I know. LOL some things you only do once
I think you are liking your new feed mixer. stay warm.
i am... hope i can get it on a more normal size tractor and see how it handles it

i am not not sure how much.... just i know we have had alot..... not every often do i have to be worried where i drive with the big horse
Sure nice to throw full bales in like that. Other then that. What is your thought on vertical vs horizontal.

@@tedkahler9738 thanks. Have u ever tried just dry hay and straw without silage. Curious on how much weight will fit

I noticed you put the bale in with net wrap on them, do the knives cut the wrap or does it tend to get caught in them?
knives seem to just cut the net to bits just like a hay grinder does..... when not froze ill pry still take it off but its impossible right now with the amount of snow and such we have had
Are you planning on quitting grinding all together? Or just beable to do both?
We won’t quit grinding it’s nice to be able to do both. Calves been getting all ground hay the cows been getting a bale a load
Don't you mean snowdakota
Yeah you're Wright.
lol..... its fun.... when i was a kid.... i would have thought i died and went to heaven if we had this much snow
