The most fantastic vehicle I ever owned. GMC advertised it all wrong. Who is going to go out and do figure 8's in reverse with a boat and trailer behind it... Or back a stock trailer up to a barn ? Should have shown how easily it can pull into a parking space at Wal Mart.

Well... what was it? I have nearly same issue and I think it's the transmission bearings that are done and that's not an ez fix, so probably planning on an f40 swap = big $$$

Jesus Christ man, black Z/28 is the shiz man!! I WAS looking for one last year, but I couldn't find anything at a reasonable price and I really wanted a hot rod daily driver so I gave up on the Z/28 idea and started testing the 6th Gen Camaro SS. It didn't take long to realize that the SS 1LE was a very good alternative and at a better price. I really like the LT1 motor and Tremec combo, the torque feels much like the LS7 IMO. I never got a chance to drive the Z/28, but I tested the Z06 and of course I was impressed. I'm not disappointed in the least with my decision, but I will always be a huge fan of this car, it's a no BS beast that Chevy built to destroy some other cars!! I did Cross shop quite a few RWD sports cars when I was looking for a new ride, but I kept returning to the SS 1LE, it's the closest thing to your Z/28 on the road currently, but they are not going to be around forever, sad to say. Thanks for the indepth look at this amazing vehicle, hope you are still enjoying it and hearing that 427 screaming!! Damn that Camming idle is ridiculous 😂😂
