Dead Money is where i get a lot of my income, i level up my necessary stats and head to the Sierra Madre. there i save before hitting the Blackjack Table and i stop one win away from getting banned. then, it's time for a Hail Mary pass... to the Roulette Table, save and then save scum until my lucky number comes up. this can take a while, but the amount of Pre-War Money you can get is insane. i hold onto it all as well as all that Sierra Madre Gold, leaving Elijah to stew in an empty Vault, within a now BARREN Casino. all that loot i take back with me to the Mojave. then i warp back to The Sink, put the Pre-War Money in the Safe, as well as the Gold Bars, then wait til i got Max Barter before cashing in my investment. note that you can do the Hail Mary at ANY Casino in the game, just make sure that you're one win short of a ban. you will have far more Caps than the Casinos would normally put out, about 6800 Caps to be precise.

it should be pointed out that the legion also has a heavy tactical advantage when looking at what would happen without courier interference, just in the amount of plans and posituons they have in place to cause chaos and hinder the ncr notable examples being: -the plan to destroy the monorail, and having a spy within the camp's leadership -the plan to have the omertas attack the strip during the battle of hoover dam -the occupation of nelson holding camp forlorn hope in a stalemate -the incursions further west, including the destruction of ranger station charlie and nipton meanwhile, the only tactical maneuvers the ncr is carrying out are the ones the courier hands to them on a silver platter. theyre basically sitting on their hands hemorrhaging resources while the legion actually acts like theyre at war and trying to win. its why im pretty certain the "the courier died from the bullet to the head" ending is almost guaranteed to be "lanius and the legion curbstomp the ncr and then descend into chaos because caesar was too short-sighted to have an heir that actually knew and cared about the whole synthesis plan he describes."

Why was And Stay Back not mentioned once when talking about shotguns? You can have nearly the same effect as Bean Bags without nerfing your damage with And Stay Back. Correction: Coin Shot fires 1 more pellet compared to standard Buckshot, which furthers its power with And Stay Back. Also, some crit bonuses are flat additions instead of multipliers, which makes them much better for the full-auto weapons. For example: you can get a flat +10 crit chance using Light Touch and VATS.

Its almost useless the only gd thing worth having is Animal Freind which is pretty cool as it effects a bunch of enemies almost all Geckos accept fire ones oddly but green Geckos count to so this helps in honest hearts as those Giant Green Geckos make for nice allies, oddly Bears dont count but this might be due to one being linked to a quest in that dlc, Nightstalkers which helps a huge amount in old world blues, I had the gold Geckos kill some giant scorpions that chased me lol u dont need the second rank only the first in Animal freind. Also handy if u want to say collect the loot in the legendary Nightstalker cave early level as they wont attack you. Or another use with animal freind collecting the Ratslayer gun early as those rats hit really dam hard low level. Apart from that the only charisma speach checks can be so easily bypassed with Mentats, Party Mentats with the chemist perk they last so dam long. dont forget the red dress and implant to with all that boosting ur charisma from 1 to 7 passing all charisma checks in the game. The boomers i never bother with u get idolised by them so easy anyway. Betsy is the only one i have it for just sucks no other charisma checks are in the game like it was totally overlooked.

Holorifle repairing is not a problem, ita actually practically invincible with the upgrades, also, its the most ammo efficient energy weapon next to the modded laser rifle. Speaking of the, tri-beam is absolutely brutal, but you only need that kind of damage for a few enemies, modded laser rifle solo's 90% of the game, and is much less wasteful on ammo.

Vance’s 9mm fucking carries, dude. Pair it with the ammo glitch in Goodsprings plus a high luck build you will shred anything as long as you can hit consistently both head and shoulders. Without a doubt in my mind it is the best sub machine gun ever due to lighter ammo and higher ammo capacity. Pair it with fucking Gunslinger for VATS, even Grunt for higher damage, and bam, great gun.

to each their own the holorifle is my favorite weapon in the game, even if having to go through Dead Money to get it is a pain. The alien blaster is second, but that's cause I use glitches to exploit ammo and have more than the finite shots your given. the third is taking the laser detonator from lonesome road, and making it into a into a rocket launcher of death through glitches...i love seeing deathclaws fly.

I have to pick the "wacky wasteland" perk every time I start a new playthrough because I can't stand the other one's because they're so absurd, they're all like "you get twice as much health but your limbs break twice as easily...and -2 INT while they're broken". That's just one one many reasons I favor FO3 over FONV.

Against armored enemies on very hard i use the big boomer with coin shot to knock enemies down then i switch to the service rifle (forged reciever + upgraded spring) and light them up with ap rounds, or surplus if i run out of ap,

You fool! If you pick up the guns on the ncr troopers you’d get the ammo in the clip!

caps are easy in NV, i would’ve seen this be more useful in Fallout 4. with less caps and more uniques to purchase.

I have a broken method that hasn’t been spoken of yet. The Ammo Glitch. Equip a fatman or Ester, hotbar it’s ammo, pull out your desired weapon (default is laser detonator), activate the ammo and watch the fireworks. THIS EVEN WORKS ON MELEE AND UNARMED WEAPONS, WANT A INSTA KILL KNIFE SONNY? YOU GOT IT.

for the la longue carabine you can also shoot it out of his inventory, holster your weapon to get them nuetral again, than you can pickpocket it (sometimes) or pick it up off of the ground. sometimes the gun doesn't drop on the ground, and they stay hostile. in that case reload a save

By the way,i mean this in the nicest way, but how are you bad at using healing items? So many times you die because you dont even try using health regeneration items,or only use one or two

Feel like hoarder would have been a good second trait to take given how much consumables and looting this run needs. Only time it hurts is first little bit of start and Sierra Madre dlc
