I'm doing the same thing this week, do you miss the torque and power in the 330i? Im switching because I need something bigger but I am worried about the torque and power since its a bigger car.

Hey, congrats on your purchase, as you found in your situation RX 450h+ is a better vehicle. It certainly makes sense if you can charge it at home overnight. The only thing make sure you are OK with frequent charging as plugin hybrids are not the same as self-charging hybrids and can be either way more efficient or a complete headache if you can't charge it frequently.

Hi there, Firstly I'm based in the UK, and secondly I drive from new a 2022 Lexus Rx 450h 3.5v6 Premium Sport (model before the revamp) basically it was a toss up between the 450h+ & also the 500h!! But like yourself I also opted for the brand new 2025 Lexus Rx 450h+ in Takumi Spec (that's the luxury range topper) my order went in just last week, and it will arrive in April etc!! What actually is the point of the 500h? When the 450h+ does everything the 500h does, but better, (IT RIDES & EVEN HANDLES SO'ooooo MUCH BETTER THAN THE 500h) + gives the advantage of driving in FULL EV MODE!! ANY road test I've watched, has said the complete opposite of this guy, Saying to: "GO FOR THE 450h+, & NOT THE 500h"!! As the 500h engine isn't as good as the one in the 450h+!! The 450h+ definitely gives you the BEST OF BOTH WORLDS, and doesn't suffer from any turbo lag, as found in the 500h!!!! Think we've both made the right choice here!! Providing that you CAN charge it up over night at home etc, which I'll be doing when it's parked over night in the garage!! Thus far I'm happy enough with my choice!!

I have driven X5 on few occasions including very recently in Hawaii with run-flats and yes due to it's far more comfy suspension setup you can't even tell you are riding on run flats. Run flats become an issue in firmer cars and can become an issue with more excessive road noise, vibration and very noticeable harsh ride, but then again newer generation of run-flats are much better.

Hey, thanks for your valuable feedback and stopping by. I can see that you share similar points as far as Model 3 having a more elevated driving experience compare to Model Y. I even made a separate video about that. I am also hoping new Model Y Juniper has missing ingredients for more comfortable/premium ride quality while still retaining athletic character. And yes more videos will be coming

Thanks for sharing your feedback. I can see your frustration it may not be as apparent on the test drive but as you spend more time with this car you can realize it could use more comfort for sure. You can seek for aftermarket suspension and resolve it that way or trade up when Juniper comes out, provided it is going to be more refined.

This is just from the wind alone. Fire was in the hills few miles away from here

Thanks for the comment. Here is how I see it. I drove 3 generations of Camrys for almost 10 years. If you need a work horse that can hit 100k miles and beyond then Camry is 100% the way to go. If you want smth more fun especially in cornering with no plans to mary the car then BMW 3 series would be my pick. I was just thrilled to see new gen Camry being finally a fun car to drive. BMW is more performance focused for a Sport sedan while still offering decent comfort

Definitely agree, but hey new upcoming Model Y Juniper will have stalk for turn signals, so they certainly heard our frustration. I won’t be surprised if they return the stalk to Model 3 as well. In Europe it literally affected their Model 3 sales

We were very close to the fire but fire fighters did an amazing job, we also got super lucky that winds were blowing in the opposite direction

@ I am as thrilled by these evolutions, but removing the radar to reduce the cost of the car does not convince me. And if it is successful as promised, why did Musk lobby with the trump team to cancel the mandatory reporting of car crashes? That does not inspire great trust. Tesla currently leads the ranks in crashes, mainly model S and Y. Everyone can look that up. Musk’s ambition should be to make Tesla the safest car, not taking a shortcut changing the laws and regulations.

Hey thanks for your comment. I personally have BMW, in fact 2nd one in a roll. Even if I like BMW, Porsche I will say whatever feels right. In this particular case I found GLE 55 AMG to be more special than X6 40i.

Thanks for sharing this. I completely understand you discussing seats. This makes me recall all the moments when I found something a bit more simple to be more usable in real world life. And this is why I always encourage folks to find a way to spend more time with the car before buying. Mostly that was not possible in your situation since you got more rare option: "Anniversary" edition and had to pull the trigger but I also know exactly how it feels when you driving that new car and there is that doubt whether this will work long term or not. Anyway I hope you enjoy the car and maybe there are some after market solutions to make them more comfy

Hi there. Not sure if you purchased a vehicle already. I would say whatever is your higher priority - payment/over newer stuff. If you are trying to get the best deal - then go for the older model, but if you want more refined Model y - then wait for the new one, however I also doubt all the incentives will be there.

@100miledrive Thanks for the reply. I have decided to wait after seeing the Juniper updates. It is going to be worth waiting. I test drove Model 3 Highland and am absolutely in love with that experience. Honestly, I didn't miss the stalks at all. So, the Juniper update will be definitely better, and I'm choosing the spacious Juniper for family.

It will be fine for family of 4, but the X3 is more spacious.

This is a rental car. I didn’t want to deal with it, but had to eventually.

Thanks for stopping by. Yes Range improvement is the biggest advantage of RWD. At the end of the day it's a preference of getting a more efficient RWD or faster AWD Model Y. Can't wait for the new Juniper Model Y to see what the new changes really are.

Thanks for the comment. It really depends. What most folks don't know about run-flats is that they are good with flats but terrible when it comes to the impacts - and in this case with a massive pothole they would break - reinforced sidewalls simply break into patches and there is no way you can drive on that tire. Regular tire has a bigger chance when it comes to the impact.

Hmm. Thanks for sharing. I found 500h to be comfortable for my test. They are certainly on the firm side but didn't feel bad at all. RX 450h+ would probably feel more comfy.
