I think both the Mercedes and bmw suv coupes are very nice it’s a matter of preference but for some folks i read on this thread to call the bmw x6 trash is very biased. It is far from trash. I personally think the steering wheel in the Mercedes is super ugly the dash is underwhelming for the price it was just Lackluster to me And cliche. I see a nice suv but I don’t see 130k. I have had my 2024 bmw for about a month and my 2022 lexus rc350 coupe that I love dearly has been parked. I absolutely love my x6. It’s so clean and modern along with luxury. That’s my style I have the same color and interior as on your video and I have every option they had to offer down to massaging seats. The seats are super comfortable and It’s just a smooth ride even with 22 inch rims. I was afraid of that. I love it. To me the Mercedes looks very nice as well but it seems more of vintage old school luxury and x6 seems more of a raunchy muscular feel. It’s a sporty suv just like he said so it’s equally nice in its own way. I love the m sport exhaust. The car is a head turner period. People who aren’t techy are not going to like not having the usual buttons but to me, I love the tech. That was a big part of the reason I bought it. The infotainment. Now cars with too many buttons look dated to me. The ambient lighting is amazing I also have the sky lounge LED panoramic sunroof which lights up as well and looks sooo cool. I don’t have a need for speed in Atlanta however so the tech and styling influenced my choice. A younger driver will possibly like the bmw. That metallic Brooklyn grey was love at first sight. I added the red brake calipers it’s just a beautiful suv and top luxury. You get the best Of both worlds in my book and I will have it for years to come. To the naysayers put it in sports plus mode and ride. You’ll love it
Thanks for the feedback and really giving all the details. I completely agree on the part of a preference. This argument of which is better BMW or Mercedes I think will never end. I am glad you like X6. I mean for many folks BMW will win just because of driving dynamics, but then there is another group of people who care less about driving dynamics and want what Mercedes has to offer and that is very flashy (night club) interior, cool exhaust notes and comfy Air suspension.
As someone who has owned both (currently driving the GLE 53), there are pros and cons to both. Overall performance goes to the GLE 53, however at times depending on how you're driving, the X6 can "feel" faster. The driving experience (when spec'd similar) is slightly better in the GLE. Both feel luxurious, however there's no argument that the GLE wins in that segment. Comfort is really close, the GLE only gets the edge here because you can fit 4 in the car comfortably whereas the back of the X6 is super tight. Fuel economy, X6 by far. Driving feel, X6 wins here. The GLE is not as "rough" as many may make it seem, it just is not as refined as the 450 or the S class. It is an AMG after all. All in all, I believe the X6 is of better value (the 40i or the M60). For me, I understand that I'm paying mostly for the driving experience of an AMG.
Thanks a lot for sharing your experience with both cars, that was a great way to break them down and explain where they shine the most. Both are incredible machines, in my observation I found GLE 55 AMG to be more special, mostly because of AMG tune even though I mostly prefer BMWs.
Not really. As much as liked BMW X6's driving dynamics more than X5, but after all I still would prefer X5 for the utility: rear seats and trunk space. As for the curved screen - yes I absolutely don't like it, howeer in some way it does make X5/X6 more modern and sleek compare to 2023 model year, but I can't believe they couldn't keep few essential buttons. So for now I am passing on the curved screen idea.
When I buy a car, it’s really all about the dependability of the engine and transmission! The interior design and aesthetics are of the utmost importance, but rank second behind quality and dependability of what is under the hood.
Thanks for the feedback. Here in US most people who shop for BMW X6, Mercedes GLE or let's say Range Rover are getting them for the lease and don't really care about reliability. I personally also like to have more reliable vehicle and hoping my BMW X3 M40i with same B58 engine will be reliable enough, we will find out.
How would you compare comfort (suspension, seating & cabin) vs. X3 M40i? We are closing in on our lease end for M40i, and are debating stepping up to X6 40i for more comfort.
Oh yes X6 for sure will have more comfort. It has softer material in the seats: Sensafin. Softer suspension, but not as soft as X5 and still decent handling. It is not as engaging as X3 m40i but if you are looking for more comfort you will most definetly like it.
@@100miledrive Thank you for the reply, and impressive review channel! Also am curious how comfortable the new 2025 X3 M50 will be. I think we are between keeping X3 M40i (I've never owned a BMW past 3 years), a new X6 40i, or ordering new 2025 X3 M50 depending on upcoming reviews.
@@wave640 thank you for the feedback. And yes also super curious on new X3 M50, specifically driving dynamics as they made many changes to the new car with steering and suspension. Will bring it on the channel as soon as they come out.
GLE 53 AMG feels very sluggish even in Sport +. The X6 feels faster (they sandbag their 0-60 time) at a much lower price point. BMW has superior performance , but MB feels more luxurious
Yep BMW feels more natural and just more dynamically sound, but I wish X6 had smth more special like more horsepower or a special tune from M division for the same B58 engine. As much as I like and drive BMWs in this segment GLE 53 AMG impressed me more with it's luxury feel and exhaust notes, even though it didn't do well around the corners.

I am honestly a bit lost as to what is real Mercedes experience these days. What I remember Mercedes used to be is not what I see in the modern cars. I might discuss that in some of my videos.

BMW has the Diamond Bowers & Wilkins with 20 speakers (1,475 watts) option and Mercedes only has the base Burmester (13 speakers & 590 watts) on all GLEs and AMG GLE….
