Another thing making frieren a great series: A lack of exaggerated cliffhangers.

This show spends 3 lines of dialog on how scary the demoness is. Then 1-2 episodes on how screwed said demoness is... love it.

Whip swords are a historical weapon. Sort of. They weren't really weapons so much as performative tools, but they did exist. Also, Shadiversity on TH-cam created a back scabbard for longswords that you can draw and return without taking it off and without too much difficulty.

I have read that thoes few frames after Frieren met the hero's party take up 1/100th the runtime of the Frieren life after flamme montage. I haven't timed it personally tho.

If the year Himmel died benchmarked the rest of the series timeline, it's like the birthday of Frieren's emotional intelligence. Before Himmel died she was a detached elf, but now she's the same emotional age as Fern as they develop together.

19:50 so far the only Players we know of that arrived in the New World were the Six Great Gods, Greed Kings, MAYBE the Minotaur Sage, at least one or two members of the Thirteen Heroes, an unnamed person who was killed by the Deep Darkness Dragon Lord and, obviously, Momonga himself. I don't know a lot about the Minotaur Sage or the Thirteen Heroes but it seems like almost every Player or group of Players that appears usually ends up causing drastic change. such as introducing the tier magic system that would very quickly replace the wild magic that was dominant prior. it's also implied the Dragon Emperor was somehow responsible for the first appearance of Players and their continued arrival to the New World, somehow dragging both their in-game avatars as well as their minds into the world although the mind appears to change if the body is not human. something we see happen with Momonga/Ainz

one extra thing in that episode was Ainz finding any weapon of those soldiers to stab himself with em to 100% make sure about the power levels and his immunity. thanks for the vid.

7:58 Aninews is so sneaky with the use of Genshin OST in this vid lol. In my head I was like, "this bgm sounds familiar" only to realize it's from Genshin. I had to double take and check if my Genshin was open in the background when I watched this lol. I usually don't watch Aninews' Cut Content vids mostly because I read the Light Novels and already know most of it so this is the first time I'm watching it through this reaction.

In regards to the NPC's knowledge of games terminologies, there was a sidestory that revealed that they remember the things that happened while its was all a game also they heard other terms outside the game that they didnt understand but as they were only used by players they basically considered it the "laguage of the gods" thus of course they wouldn't know thus they do their best to "interpret" terms like "anime" "manga" "R-18" etc

The worst part of Kyouhukou's room is that he continues to heal his victims indefinitely so that they never run out of meat.😨 It makes sense that Touch Me is an insectoid considering its entire hero theme, since in Japan due to the influence of Kamen Raider the insectoid image (as well as scarves) are seen as synonyms of heroism. That's also why in Pokemon Bug Types are strong against Dark Types.

9:29 We also see Frieren flinch the first time she meets Fern on the cliff, from how fast Fern goes from At Rest to Firing a Spell. To use Call of Duty lingo, she's a Quick-Scoper compared to Frieren's Hard Scoper.

I think I watched this show about 11 times after my personal watch, just from watching reactions to it.

Donovan Desmond is a great villain for this show. At first, his profile just says "evil politician", which is nothing special, but his creepy design, his sinister voice and the fact that he is so isolated and almost impossible to meet, make him a very interesting character. Not a likeable one, of course. The way he treats his son makes sure that he definitely hasn't any viewer sympathy on his side. And we still don't know what his plans are. It was important that Anya fell asleep and wasn't present during the meeting, because otherwise she would have read his mind and then we would know his thoughts as well. But she wasn't there and Donovan Desmond remains a mystery to us.

All that shit talking about “the guys” yet you forget the single most important character in this show which is Himmel….also known as HIM!! Frierens entire perspective is based on how long it’s been since his death, that’s her world view now ;)

Notice how stark didn’t throw a single attack until the end. He was strong enough to END her the entire time but he simply didn’t have confidence in his own strength
