    Congratulations. I love the Explorer II, both previous and current iteration. I bought my sister the Milgauss Z-Blue and she loves it.

      Thanks and yes, just you wait with the Milgauss!

    My favorite model is the Explorer ii !!! All of them. Love the vintage Tiffany model most of all with that creamy dial & also the ‘Steve McQueen’ model Absolutely gorgeous. Yeah I’ve really come to love this model. Enjoy that on your wrist. Looks great on you.

    The watch (16570 Polar) fits your wrist, and looks great. Enjoy it. The 226570 Polar, which I own and am wearing as I type this, might be too large for you. You'd have to try it on to know.

    Congratulations on your 2nd Rolex. Great choice! I also prefer this model to the current one. Also fyi, the more “cosmetic defects / incorrect dials”, the more sought after they are.

    BTW: Serious congrats on the new watch! I also stated I don’t like buying pre-owned as well for the same reason. Not sure TGV said that. He tends to buy a lot of used pieces. I think 🤔 😊

    I have the black dial 16750 great daily driver. My favorite tidbit about the polar dial is the indices are white gold but painted black to contrast with the white dial and lume.

    Glad you enjoy the clocks! Thanks for the mention.
    Fantastic review on the Polar E2. Looks great on you. The telltale sign of the Oyster bracelet is just unmistakably vintage cool. This model reference holds dear to my heart as it was my first Rolex sports watch I purchased in 2017 for the grand sum of Australian dollars $6500! (US$4000) I had previously owned a Datejust & Oysterdate but this was my first introduction into a proper tool sports Rolex. This model was my segway into the brand. Although I now own a few Subs & other sports Rolexes, I probably wear this one the most often. It's comfortable, versatile & not ostentatious. Has the same movement as the GMT2 of the same era but doesn't offend in the same way depending on your preference for soft drink brands or football team colours. The E2 is understated and can be worn in any occasion. I've worn mine to the office, at the beach, on a boat, hiking, weddings, funerals and on ANZAC Day (war veteran day march). With the GMT function and it's rugged everyday under the radar capabilities it's probably the reason why the British SAS have chosen the E2 as the commemorative watch of their unit, having special commissioned Rolex to inscribe their motto 'Who Dares Wins' on an undisclosed limited production issued only to members of this elite unit. It's possibly also the only Rolex I need if it weren't for my disease of collecting wristwatches. Make no mistake, this Rolex is not your social media pin up poster boy. It's a no-nonsense pure sports tool watch. This and the Air-King are the only current Rolex sports watches available in steel. No gold, two tone, titanium or platinum. This is what Rolex cut their teeth on as a sports watch brand before they became a fashion accessory. You want proof of that? Look no further than the achievements of Norwegian explorer Erling Kagge, the Lawyer turned polar explorer who wore the E2 16570 to both the North, South poles and to summit Everest. And also the American explorer Ed Viesturs who summited 11 of the world's highest mountain peaks with this same reference model.

    Another interesting factoid about this model was that it was the very first 'men's' sized Rolex officially advertised being worn by a woman, when fashion designer Adrienne Vittadini wore it in a Rolex print ad in 1997.
    Enjoy and wear yours in good health!!

    I really appreciate your honesty about loving Rolex now, and willingness to piss off all those viewers and subscribers that got a hard on when watching your Rolex ranting videos ;)
    You highlight how sad and stupid all the haters are better than anyone else ever has!

    So Jess my question is do you like it that much more than the Submariner you just one which is a more current modern reference in the terms of quality difference how much is it bugging you or does not bother you at all because they both say Rolex?

    • @AussieWristWatch
      @AussieWristWatch  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure on the question entirely, are you asking if I like it more? The answer to that is, they are both different in my view. I have worn the Explorer a lot on the weekends and for activities, based on what I said in the video - I don't have to worry about knocking it around. But I really like the feel of the bracelet and clasp on the Sub... it's also shiny and new...

    K serial is 2001. All Rolex models have a letter serial to tell what year it is up until they started scrambling their serial numbers in 2009. 😊🤙🤙
