Back in 2009, on the 18th February. I had a go at re-creating the TV Version of Episode 4 “You Can’t Win” from the Fourth Season of Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends.
This made back when I made a lot of homemade videos of Thomas & Friends. Before starting my TH-cam Channel in April 2011.
At the time of making it. I didn’t had a toy version of Duke, Peter Sam & Sir Handel! So I decided to use what I had at the time and use a bit of imagination to create my own characters for the story.
For the Duke Character, I use my Take Along Gordon and call him “Joke” in the story.
For Peter Sam, I use my Ertl Percy and call him “Ben”.
And for the Sir Handel, I use my Ertl Sixteen and call him “Splatter”.
My Take Along Clarabel was the only take along rolling stock that I had. I would have an Annie or another Clarabel to make a proper passenger train but sometimes you just got work with what you have.
The rolling stock that my Ertl Sixteen “Splatter” was pushing towards the end of the video? Was a Ertl Silly Trucks, dressed up as a Skarloey Railway’s Green Narrow Gauge Coach.
The story is roughly the same as the TV Series Episodes. The only difference is that the three narrator gauge characters are my own version.
Looking back at it now after making it 16 Years ago. I feel like with the skills that I’ve learned during that time, I would like to remake it or do a read along story of Duke the Lost Engine?
