Rotation and form. When you are gassed out and no longer can rely on your strength to throw heavy that is when your form is most important. Big guys usually use strength to make up for form so when they get tired you can see how sloppy they really are. Little guys don’t have the muscles and as a result develop great form to throw stronger blows. When you get a big guy to throw with perfect form the power is crazy. Check out Michael jai white or mike Tyson.

Glad to hear they asked you to hold pads. When you feel confident enough to start teaching, even if it’s beginners, you will see yourself improving much fast. Having to explain the mechanics of a move and adapting it to different heights, power, fluidity and flow of different people leads you to understanding rather than just repeating.
