I’m still researching about what a “Lifestyle Photographer” service can offer. It seems like that genre can sub-category almost all genres like product, sports, wild, portrait, commercial/architecture, and probably more. I can’t seem to “niche down” cause I know for a fact that I enjoy ALL of the sub-categories and been doing them for years. I offer all of those services, and other photographers say “narrow it more down”.
I’m the same way. I shoot a little bit of everything. I feel like you can go one of 2 ways about “niche’ing” down. 1. You can solely just pick one genre and stay there. Or 2. You can do what you want but market yourself accordingly. I.E if you just shot maternity, maybe your Instagram only reflects that, you have a website specifically designated for maternity etc. As far as “Lifestyle” that refers to the way the images are captured. So you’re absolutely right, lifestyle has space in most genres. If you’re capturing motion or telling a story anything depicting an activity etc you are shooting lifestyle.
Who's the artist singing Candy Rain?
What camera do you use for lifestyle pics ?
My main body used to be a Sony A7iii. Been running a canon R5C for the past 6 months. This is the Sony in this video though.
As I said , you put it all together so well, it’s not impossible to see how if the principle is applied you will learn. Great job Tay
You mentioned knowing “when” to use two lights or not. It would be dope to see a video on that
Done deal! 🤝🏾
Does anybody struggle with using 2 lights?
Thanks bro
💯🤝🏾
Tay, is your E-Book still relevant as of today?
Bro this was motivating
Glad to be of any inspiration bro! 🤝🏾💯
Where did you go to get your logo as a Neon Sign?
Bro, I love the way to talk and bring the knowledge! Amazing stuff 🔥🔥. Learning photos and videos 💯! Good to see your story. Putting in the work now
How can I contact you to get some more information bro?
Either on here or on IG bro. @TayPrice

Lighting breakdown is coming in the part 2! 🤝🏾
Bro, this was good. Thanks for sharing!
Appreciate that! Thanks for tuning in 🤝🏾
you've inspired one
🙏🏾 thanks for taking the time to tune in.
Great video! Do you have any tips of finding a lifestyle clothing photographer for an ad campaign? I googled and cant find any in my area. Not sure if I'm searching correctly
Thank you!! Where are you located?
Are reflectors a good thing to use when you have this much sun around?
Absolutely or even using a white bounce. Like some of those 3-in-1’s that have the white, black, and silver.
another great video man, thanks
Thank you bro!! Appreciate you tuning back in!! 🤝🏾
How do you do corporate headshots with one light?
Great question! I would position the light almost directly In front of the subject with the same angle shown the video. Distance about 3-4 feet away as well. You’ll want them to be brighter so Adjust the intensity accordingly.
great info
Thanks for watching!
Using one flash light, and all the studio ceiling lights. Bro, what a scam 😂😂😂😂
Strobes over power house lights genius. Don’t comment dumb sh*t.
I enjoyed the video. I would add,, (we all know this) lighting is subjective. I also shoot flat, as I have some clients that require little to no shadow in their shot. Keep doing what you’re doing.
Indeed! Definitely depends on what you are shooting and the end goal. Ultimately my point would be to not let only having 1 light hinder you from creating. Thanks for tuning in and for the feedback!! 🤝🏾💯
This was truly very helpful by far one of the best light tutorials on TH-cam as a person who just started using light thanks for sharing
Glad it helped!! Appreciate the feedback and you taking the time to watch! 🤝🏾
I still love to shoot with Canon eos rebel t7. It is not the gears but a creative person who knows what and how to utilize the gears.
Indeed!! There’s still people that shoot with film! Through the grain and images that might not be razor sharp they still produce great work! Rather it be a T7 or a R5C it’s still going to boil down to how you capture. Thanks for tuning in!
You are brutally honest. Its the person behind the gears.
Thanks for the info my man!
Absolutely! 🤝🏾💯
This is content that I never knew I needed. I have been dependent on the idea of multiple light set ups, but now I think I will just stick to one and exploit it as much as possible till I can solve one light problems in my sleep
Absolutely man! There are instances where additional lights can be used, but they are not always needed! Keep creating! 🤝🏾💯
nothing but facts in this video. Salute
Appreciate it bro! 🤝🏾 thanks for tuning in
Great video. To be creative, I need to take a step back and get comfortable with one light again. Looking forward to the series.
Sometimes going back to the basics is necessary! Especially after you’ve improved your eye and technique. Might find something new. Thanks for tuning in!
Whats the best lens to use?
I wouldn’t say there’s any single best lens. It’s all subjective to what you’re shooting and what you can afford.
Love it ❤❤❤
Thank you, good practical advice
Appreciate that! Thanks for tuning in
This is definitely for me. I always thought why do I need a niche in particular???
I feel you! I’ve never been able to limit myself like that.
Thank you so much Tay, informative and helpful BTS and tutorial! God bless and good luck!
Absolutely!! Thank you for tuning in!
I dont know why more people are not commenting on this!! You are hitting every single note on the head and speaking from experience! Go on preacher you are doing what is right and love these type of videos you put out

Loved this video. You really have me thinking differently about clients and adding video to the mix. Thanks for this video.
Absolutely!! Glad I was able to give you an alternate perspective! Thanks for tuning in!
Hey man, great video, I actually came to photography and video later as a pro but having always been a photographer since being in single digits, I wanted to be a fashion photographer and that's what I am building up now, but a career in this field is extremely hard to build and not to mention a slow process, so I started with some weddings, part time and as of now still doing headshots, portraits, branding and content creation till I can sustain a career just in commercial fashion and portraits, you should do what suits you and not listen to others, or listen, take in the advice and reject what doesn't resonate.
Thank you bro! Well said! It’s about finding what works for you 100% thanks for tuning in
Good work bro, good tips!
Thank you bro 🤝🏾 thanks for tuning in.
Love your content. More to learn with you from now on. Let's Go
Appreciate that bro! Thanks for tuning in! 🤝🏾💯
In my experience, good videographers can not take professional photos. I believe that people who are trying to do both are hurting their business. In my opinion, it is better to pick one of them and focus on learning how to do it as well as possible. The same goes for montage and editing, a good videographer will not edit his own videos as well as an editor who only specializes in editing.
Appreciate the feedback! We’d have to agree to disagree here. I’ve been doing both for over a decade and I’ve increased my business each year. Some years one may be heavier than the other but nonetheless it’s always been to my benefit to be able to do both.
Just a friendly FYI, TH-cam 1080p is so heavily compressed it looks closer to 720p, just 1 megapixel, whereas 4K looks closer to the 8 megapixels it is - at least for viewers on big 4K screens, TH-cam 1080p is blurry, so worth uploading in 4K if the computer can handle the editing :-)
This is the real deal, no-nonsense, all about business! subscribed!
I try to get straight to it outside of my small tangents and rants lol! Thanks for the sub!! 🤝🏾
You already know , I got that dm on speed dial😂😂. Another great class Thanks TP🤝🏾🤜🏽🤛🏽
lol!!! I got you bro!! Thanks for tuning back in! 🤝🏾

Awesome location! I would've painted some of those concrete walls clean white to mute some of the distracting textures and emphasis the architecture. Good tips though.
Thanks! Yeah it’s all preference at the end of the day. I personally like to use texture in my comps.
That’s a clamshell setup with the curved reflector for fill light.
Yessir!
