    I still love to shoot with Canon eos rebel t7. It is not the gears but a creative person who knows what and how to utilize the gears.

    • @taypricephotography

      Indeed!! There’s still people that shoot with film! Through the grain and images that might not be razor sharp they still produce great work! Rather it be a T7 or a R5C it’s still going to boil down to how you capture. Thanks for tuning in!

      Appreciate that!! I don’t like videos that take forever to get into what they’re really trying to talk about so I try to go with a straightforward approach. Thanks for the watch!

    my last 2 shoots I've pulled out my barely functional, 15 year old, 12MP Nikon D700.. love the images more than my Z6II.. Think I'm going to jump on the used market and find myself another one of these gems.

    Yes and no. If you do know how to shoot and compose a great lens can make or break your career. That said, get your samples and when you get a gig rent the gear you need and bill it to the client. Please GOD get an insurance certification on file with the rental house in case of an accident. Your relationship with the local rental house is crucial.

    • @taypricephotography

      Yes the insurance is definitely mandatory!! 💯

    • @taypricephotography

      That would depend on if you feel like it’s hindering your progress or making you miss out on any business. If it’s still getting the job done for you I’d say see if there’s another area you can use those funds to build out any other areas of your business/kit that might need it.

    Are reflectors a good thing to use when you have this much sun around?

    • @taypricephotography

      Absolutely or even using a white bounce. Like some of those 3-in-1’s that have the white,black, and silver.

    Pretty good stuff thanks for sharing.
    As for the gear I would agree and disagree
    If you are just starting out, if you are a hobbyist then gear somewhat does not matter.
    If clients are paying you to be infront of your camera gear absolutely matters.
    I started out on the cheap back in the day, had lenses lock up back in the film days and had flashes over heat and freeze up so with that I get the best gear than I can afford.
    Just my opinion

    • @taypricephotography

      Definitely appreciate the perspective (side note: I hate when people can’t express an opposing opinion without sounding angry lol) but yeah I would agree from that position as well. If your equipment is hindering your performance then your gear absolutely does matter.

    • @taypricephotography

      Yeah for me the ends justify the means. Pricey gear doesn’t make a good photographer and cheap gear doesn’t make a bad photographer.
